Weather on Home Screen - Touch Diamond2, Pure Themes and Apps

A lot of people asked to remove weather from clock on home screen.
I made solution for cookie home tab.
1. U need to install cookie home tab first:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=625483
2. Then copy files from attachment to windows directory.
This mod for Sense 2.5

why dont you want the weather?
i think its pretty nice, not only on the weathertab.
on the homescreen is nice i think. you always know, which wheather is.
DN41

I don't want weather on my home tab, because home-screen became too slow.

mh...i dont recognize such a lag.
with my stock rom, there's everything very smooth...
DN41

Well if you're using a HD2 like it says you are in your sig, thats no wonder. This definitely sped up my TD2, so many thanks for this.

GTX bug
it made the background for the alarm black.
it should be white in the sense theme im using.
can someone make a cab for it so it doesnt do that?

arthurwork, i notice from the picture you uploaded that you still have the task manager button in the top right hand corner, where did you get it, when I updated my Rom, it got rid of it.

Task manager:

arthurwork, I installed the football Task Manager, but it doesn't show up, and I can't find where the program has been isntalled

arthurwork, I have tried to copy the two files from the folder into my windows directory, but it won't let me. I have tried un-ticking the HTC sense thing so it wasn't running and then copying, but that wouldn't let me either.
I also found the football task manager program in there while I was do this, and it is the correct one, and it is also set to be on the home screen, but it doesn't show up, any ideas?
Thanks

To copy files you'll need some shell like Total commander or Resco Explorer to replace files in windows directory.
After installing task manager do a soft reset )

Hi Arthur,
I also woul like to get rid of that sensless Weather-Animation at the start screen.
I copied "3b06b4a0_manila" and "7c60907d_manila" in the Windows Directory. After a reboot Cookie's HomeTab seems to be destroyed and I have no App-Icons any more.
I'm using Artemis 8 + Cookies. Do You have any idea ?

Unless I'm missing something.....
If you have CHT installed, just use the weather toggle feature and add it to one of your shortcuts and turn animation off.
This tweak arthurwork posted is for the weather on home tab, not the weather animation.

I don't want just to turn off the animation. I would like to have no weather at all on my home screen.

It sounds like you unzipped the cab file because otherwise you wouldn't see all the files. Redownload the cab and save it to your phone, but do not extract the files from it first. Then use file explorer on your phone to start the cab install by clicking on the cab file.
hey coo theme who created it?
i have this installed and running on a Blackjack 1 with 6.1, everything seems to work right except the clock and the slider panels. The clock is the standard clock not the one on the screenshot of the OP, the slider panels are blue no matter what back ground i use.
Is the default background supposed to be the black diamound one? I bet its not showing up because this is not made for a landscape device. could this be made for a landscape device?
OK look at the second posters avatar.....my screen looks just like that. Isn't it supposed to have the diamound style clock and background? When i switch the the diamound green or diamound fire they both show up fine, just the clock is not diamound and the panels are blue.

ok, well thats to bad, it is really a cool home screen. I didn't think there would ever be this kind of screen on a smartphone.
Great work though! I wish i could figure out how to do this kind of stuff!
Well i took a pic of something black and made it my home screen and with the blue sliders it looks pretty good! So i don't have the clock like i wanted but, all the other stuff works and i have a pretty cool looking home screen!
Thanks!

edit: FYI it seems to be working just fine w/out adjusting those settings, excatly what does changing the time format do? Thanks again nd I luv the new theme, keep up the good work.
johnnyeoneal: you have it right I just put the 00:00:00 for currant time and if you didn't change your time to that format it would not line up with the diamond like boxes

Clock issues after upgradading WinMo 6.5

Hi guys!
I noticed that the clock (Manila 2.5) has some problems, for instances, after tapping the Quick Menu button or after tapping the home button, seems like the clocks delays and then returns to the actual hour.
Do you have the same problem, do you know how to solve it?
Thanks a lot!
That's not a problem, its a "feature" implemented by HTC to show off their flippy clock
MaxTTM has the ability to do this. It's available on the home layouts under "Flip No Anim"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=493011
Thank you very much! Will test it!!
OK, and how can I do the correction of this mistake? Because for me it's mistake, not "feature".
To get rid of flip animation, just unzip and copy this file to your Windows directory.

You should have just tried using total commander or such, as the built in file explorer will not work for this.

SPB TIME Integration

Is there a way to integrate SPB Time instead of the HTC Alarm?
What about phone suite, anyone managed to get integration in sense GUI

No.
But i think SPB Time integrates with WP.
what do you mean wp?
Well, there is a way to integrate G-Alarm, so why not Spb Time? Their 3.0 version is quite nice, by the way.
+1
I must say that I am pretty amazed by the interface of version 3.
Would be great to have it linked with the Sense Home menu.
Anyone managed to do it?
It did work on my Touch HD but not in HD2, so I have now given up completely. I was able to get bits of it to work like phone filtering but it was just too much grief and the today bit keep on being greyed-out.
Now moved over to Magi Call and it is so much better, does calls and sms and I so wish that if SPB bring out a new version that they take a look at this program and try and better it if they can.
Spb time on home screen
M currently using SPB TIME directly from home screen. when i press alarm button it automatically takes me to spb time app, u just need to install cookie's home tab and u can edit alarm in registry.

it´s written in the post already: install Cookies Home Tab. With it instaled you can select any appication to start when clicking to the clock of your Home Tab
use CHT
then in cht Editor > Application
change alarm +/- clock to Spb
Thanx for the replies guys, but this method only opens up the alarm set screen,it doesn't directly open SPB Time itself which is what I'm after (from the home screen rather than using a quicklink)
Edit : I stand corrected I didnt add the clock to the application list, that did the trick cheers.
I can get CHT to link to SPB alarm and it will open it up, but it main tab doesn't show any alarms set. Any suggestions? Thanks.

if you just need to edit homepage shortcuts it may be a better solution to run CHT 1.6.1, it's lghter and needs less resources than CHT 2.
SPB Mobile shell is another good option, it will show on homepage your spb time alarms

Can you be a bit more specific about how to install that, please.
to my knowledge those manila files need to be cooked in your own custom rom to be able to use them (as in, they replace parts of manila)
Oh come on man.
Close Manila (Settings -> Home -> Disable Checkbox), copy the files into Windows dir. After that enable manila again. (Maye a soft reset will be needed).
Good luck

Or you can use the below attached cab files.

2. This one removes the text "Calendar" from the home screen (this one is the multilanguage version)

Does this make the background of the calendar tab transparent or does this make the calender and date background on the home screen transparent ?
It looks like the latter, rather than removing the black background, leaving it transparent behind the actual calender tab ? (not the home screen)

manila restart program

Hi, i'm looking for a program to restart manila.exe infact sometimes it stops to work fine and i've to restart the phone. I want a program to restart only the manila inferface
thanks
If you are using Cookies Home Tab with CHT Editor there is an option to restart Manila.
If you only want manila without co0kies home tab or similar "manila mods" I dont think there's any app itself thats enable to toggle manila on/off...
If I find one ill write back*
Most of the time all you need to do is go to disable\enable Sense unless it locks up your phone, you can also kill it with QuickMenu taskmanager.

There's no "option" where you can restart manila by yourself..
Im sure djg269 mean when you change something within the manila/CHT homescreen (something that affects the homescreen itself or som other major changes) the program automatically restarts manila.
