Hello Everyone,
I have looked around on the internet for a solution to have my phone show my desktop in 32-bit Resolution when using Remote Desktop (Standard version installed on my HD2)
It is only allowing me to use 16-bit.
I am using Windows XP Proffesional on my Desktop Computer.
All i have found on the internet is how to get it to work on 24-Bit.
I havn't got that to work yet though, for some reason it wont let me.
But 24-Bit will not be enough anyways to run the programs i wanna run from my Mobile Phone.
Is there a solution to this that does not require installing a diffrent Remote Desktop Application?
And if i do need a diffrent application. Then what do you recommend?
I hope i have given enough information.
Greetz,
Xitement

Hi all,
I have to setup a bunch of windows HTC mobile phones remotely, and talking the users thru the steps and loading the correct software is extremely frustrating and time consuming.
I do have remote access to their PC's, so ideally it would be great to just remote the PC and see their device that is attached via USB to the PC.
Does anyone know if there is some software that will allow me to remote the PDA and take control from a PC?
Thanks in advance.
my mobiler is a freeware app that does exactly that.

if you have to install it on many mobiles you may want to just cook your own rom with the software you want already built into it.
there is a program called my mobilizer... I think. while you have control of the customers computer, have them connect the device then install the program. I use this when im setting up my phone. so much easier.
ill try to get a link soon

Thanks guys, My Mobiler looks perfect going to test it now on my own device.
If you can remote to thier PCs, use the MS powertoy available for mobiles. Found here:

CE Remote Display. Just make sure all your users with PDAs have it installed on thier PC and the PDA. Lets you "drive" the PDA while it's connected via USB (or bluetooth and wireless I think but have never used those).
Read my related Bibles / reviews at http://wiki.xda-developers.com/inde... from both the desktop and the mobile device)

I have a small problem. I use a netbook (Asus Eee PC 1005HA-H, Atom N280) for my computering. However sometimes I need to have acces to a PC while I'm on the go. I know there is a Remote Desktop program in my HD2, but here's the problem: I use Windows XP Home edition. Which does not have an RDP server in it. There is no way I can use Remote desktop for my laptop sadly.
I do have good experiences with VNC applications such as RealVNC.
So logically, I am now looking for a good, finger-friendly app for my HD2. I am using Google to find more information, but all I seem to find is applications that are from 2005 and VGA, or offers for Viagra.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Finally, after days of searching a mate send me this link via Twitter.

Maybe this will help somebody else. If it isn't going to work I will let it now here.
Any news yet?
Link for the CAB is in that post...
I am currently using the .NET VNC Viewer on my HD2:

It works. Not the fingerfriendliest App I've seen so far, but.. it's okay for me.
Hi,
I am planning on flashing to a ROM that uses Windows Mobile 6.5. However from what I understand there are two major issues:
1. No all of the Winmo 6.5 roms include Windows Remote Desktop
2. The Windows Remote Desktop 6.1 cabs are not compatible.
Where can I get a functional Remote Desktop Mobile cab file that works with Windows Mobile 6.5?
I honestly have no idea if it works on 6.5 (since I don't use 6.5), but maybe ZaDesktop could be given a try. I use it since my device didn't have rdesktop on it by default and during a reinstall I had to install ZaTunnel anyway.

Here you go; this is from build 28244. It seems to work (I installed it to test, and loaded the app). I've never used RD before, though.
Edit: I tested it out, and it works. Hell, it's kind of cool, lol.

Hello!
I'm a french Asus TF700 Prime user , and I'm looking for a solution emulating Windows (XP or later) on my tablett.
I'm sure I have read something like this but I'm unable to find it again.:crying:
Could you please help me?Because I really need a windows emulatorfor my job (just one program to run but only created for Windows XP or later)
Thank's a lot !!!!
If you already have a computer, but don't want to carry it with you, you can use a remote desktop app to connect your computer and run the program. TeamViewer for Remote Control is a good one.
If you don't have a computer, you are out of luck.
