Disable received SMS preview

Hi all,
Is there a way to disable automatic display of received text message?
I would just like to have a notification that sms is received. But not
from who and the actual message. I'll go to Outlook myself or click on
the notification to read it...
It's annoying if you have to leave the phone somewhere public.

Go to settings > personal > Sounds & Notifications > Notifications Tab
For Messaging: New text message, uncheck "Display message on screen".

"Flash light for" is grayed out in Sounds & Notifications

Hey guys. My option to Flash light for X minutes is grayed out in the Sounds and Notifications area. Any idea how to enable this?

Message preview app?

anyone know of a message preview app that shows you preview of message as soon as its received? Thanks

Hi, you can use this option to review to allow a preview, settings/ sounds notifications/ notifications, choose notification and tick "display message on screen"

S2U2 is a great option, too. But don't forget to enable the device to wake up on new SMS in BsB Tweaks.

Enable vibration for SMS

Hello! Dunno if i put this thread in the right sub-cat. but mod can move this if thats the case.
My problem is that I cannot enable vibration for new text message. Im using a custom cooked rom (826x wm6.5) and under settings/sounds and notifications/notifications/New text message I can choose wich sound to use, if i want to display it on screen and flash light, but I cannot check the Vibrate box. Its there but is "un-checkable" ^^
Any solution for this?

Start>>Settings>>Sounds & Notifications>>Messaging: New text message and then check Vibrate

If you actually read what Ive typed, I said that that box cant be checked.

8sms has a notification privacy option, all you see in the status bar is new text message unread.
