You have to download maps from the market if you use it...
My Bluetooth Headset works fine so that is in order.
WiFi Works fine also
NOTE : I tried to flash SuperCSDIX10.zip as an update and it did not work. Do a full wipe then flash this new version.
I've installed Haykuro's Danger/Death SPL 1.33.2005 to test it with this Rom and so far everything is working smooth. I think it will work with the Hard SPL Also.
You can get this fast fast fast rom here :
SuperCSDIX10.zip DOWNLOAD
or if you don't like the Xperia theme you can get the older version:
REx3MixCSDI.zip DOWNLOAD
Metamorph Theme for REx3MixCSDI (Note: Don't just flash this on top of REx3Mix you need to use Metamorph -on the market- You will more than likely need Haykuro's SPL or Use Firerat's Custom MTD Partitons)
Download :Green Dev Droid Theme by gEkX
But don't just flash away with this one. Theres a few things you want to do before you get your 3D gaming on.
1. Backup everything on your SD card
2. If you already have swap and a ext partition then you should wipe and repair the ext partition. If not your going to want to partition out your SD card like so:
(remainder) fat32, (512mb-1gb) ext2/3/4, (at least 64mb) linux-swap. REMEMBER When you partition your SD card it will format it. So make sure to backup your SD's contents to your computer.
This is easily done using Amon's RA_recovery-v1.7.0
(If you don't want Apps2SD then you can skip the ext parts)
Now that your ready proceed to the install :
3. Boot into Recovery
4. Place SuperCSDIX10.zip or REx3MixCSDI.zip whichever you downloaded in the root of your SD
5. Wipe/Factory Reset
6. Wipe The Dalvik-cache
7. Wipe the ext partition
8. Repair the ext partition
9. Flash SuperCSDIX10.zip or REx3MixCSDI.zip (Whichever you prefer) then Reboot. Go though the Setup.
10. Get the new version of SupSetup on the Market
11. Setup Apps2SD with SupSetup then Reboot
12. Setup Linux-Swap with SupSetup the Reboot
(11 and 12 are both under Options in SupSetup 4. Also make sure you reboot in-between steps 11 and 12 this is IMPORTANT!)
13. If you get FC's when restoring backed up apps try running Fix permissions. In recovery go to console... then type utility... go to fix permissions and run it... then reboot.
14. Last but not least; One of the bigger issues with this ROM is the battery drain. With "Normal" usage I would have to charge my phone before half the day was over. This is what I did to fix this issue:
- Go into SupSetup
- Under CPU Options turn off "TurboMode" and "Modder CPU"
- Optional* Under Special Options I turned on Aceleración 3d. This, I believe, helps frame rate smoothness in 3D games and helps overall rendering.
- Download either "SetCPU for Root Users" or "OverclockWidget (Need Root)" ). Personally I got OverclockWidget because it was free but SetCPU may give you more options and whatnot.
- Set your Max: 528mhz and set your min: 128mhz
After about 24hrs of Normal usage (Surf the net a couple hours. Check Twidroid, Email, and XDA Mobile...constantly . a little gaming. plus phone calls and text. The rest on standby) I have only used 3/4 of my battery.
If your having troubles with backups not showing the the market you could try this:

For the ppl with backup issues, try downloading "MyBackup Pro" or "Titainium Backup" Mind you these are paid apps but the features on here will save your lives. Both apps backup your apk files WITH the current data/market links on them and has the ability to use a 1-click restore so it wont take you 5 hours to restore ya apps.
I used it on this rom and have had no FC's at all

Thanks HTCClay for remixing CSDI into perfection! And thanks to all the Devs that helped getting this one out.

seems verrrrrrry cool!!! Flashing now!

Why does the search widget look like that in your screenshot?

Been using this for a while
I have been using this rom since yesterday afternoon and everything seems awesome, except the alarm doesn't make any sound when it goes off. Other than that everything else is awesome.

well honestly they are very different in terms of roms, clay might have scripts and such that mligns doesnt, check out the blue magic changelog and check out mligns, huge difference...
im on mligns also so i cant complain, i jus add wat i want from other roms he he

I flashed this before, noticed there is no "clear" button on the notificaiton bar. Minor thing, but really bugged me.

I would just stay where you are...I flashed it to see what it was all about and it was pretty much the same, just a little theme additions. If there is anything major I definitely couldn't tell.

I tried it and, to be honest, I prefer Httclay's Superfast to CSDI. Faster and more responsive, IMO

Appreciate the info, Stupid/SuperFast is quite speedy right now, most likely due to the JIT....have to see on the long term performance over a few days. Prob will skip this build

For me, this CSDI is faster than any of the other CSDI's and definitely the fastest HTCClay ROM I've used.
Scrolling, opening apps, opening the app list, going from screen to screen, all super fast and smooth. Not a single issue so far after a couple nights of use.

Alarm Clock fix

You are right my friend the sound dosen't work on the alarm clock! I found a fix though. Download the old AlarmClock.apk here : DOWNLOAD
Then place that in the root of your SDcard. Next use better terminal and enter in this code:
Code:
$su
#mount /system -o remount,rw
#rm /system/app/DeskClock.apk
#cp /sdcard/AlarmClock.apk /system/app/AlarmClock.apk
Then reboot and everything should work fine.

on screen keyboard doesn't fix incorrect spelling. please fix

market
Also market is broken. It does show paid apps, but not all apps show up in market. I somehow corrupted my apk backup and now I can't find musicjunk or pandora in the market. If anyone knows how to fix it let me know and I'll come back to this rom asap. Hope this helps others also. Have a good night.

dude you gotta fix that POST and make the Download links CLEAR and not hidden in the "here" use DOWNLOAD or 4share
anyways there are all these "remix" ROMs floating around, its best to stick a straight up ROM, not one of themed mix and matches, either Clay's or CSDI, Clay is a SOLID DEV, with many versions of his FastTest series so he gets my vote, he keeps up his solid work with a a few ROMs a week

market
@ sianaka
market enabler did the trick for me

so cool====== everythings was change shooooooooooooooooooooooooock
i used this ROM 4days

What's the spl requirement and card layout for this rom.? A friend was trying to flash earlier but said no go for him. TIA.

[ROM] 4/8/10 | MatrixROM 0.7 - based on DamageControl

Notes:
Now based directly off of DamageControl v2.05. This is NOT AOSP, however it includes elements of darch's AOSP.
Please note that I have only done minor modifications to this ROM. The real credit here belongs to damageless, gbhil, Avalaunchmods, bikcmp, darchstar, regaw_leinad, flipzmode, JsChiSurf, and the rest of the XDA members who may have some work in this ROM that I missed. If you like this ROM, feel free to donate to those people listed above who made it possible for me to make this. I do not accept donations.
Changelog:
v0.7
1. Cooked in super-cool font and wallpaper.
2. Fixed headset/headphone icons
3. Added fresh's vanilla lockscreen fix / home button-to-unlock disabled!
4. HTC world clock replaced with asop clock
5. added ES File Explorer, HTC PDF viewer, HTC Voice Recorder, Wifi tether
6. EvDo icons removed in favor of 3G icons
7. regawmod black dialer added. (I don't know who made this? let me know so I can give you credit!)
8. Live Wallpaper support. (none included, download some from the market)
9. Different version of the Music app. (I like it better, and its smaller)
10. Even with the new features, the ROM is almost 2mb smaller!
11. 100% awake time issue fixed (because it's now based directly on DamageControl, thank damageless for this)
12. No more aosp usb icon, oops. I think this is because of a file replaced to fix the lockscreen.
v0.6:
1. I took apart DamagedCake, edited framework-res.apk for a little more AOSP-like flair in the notifications drop-down. This still could use a little work to get it perfect. (let me know if you can help me change the carrier text color!)
2. Replaced calendar, music, messaging, and browser with their AOSP counterparts. (bonus: facebook recognizes the phone as a Hero!)
3. Rosie was removed and replaced with the Launcher.apk from the DarchLegend ROM.
4. I added a bunch of ringtones pulled from various HTC and AOSP Hero ROMs.
5. Then I added my own bootscreen.
6. ROM uses flipz' PRI, and as far as I know, is showing protected market apps fine.
Getting down to business:
Everyone remember to make a Nandroid backup! And if you end up bricking your phone, that's not my fault. Flash at your own risk. (it works fine on my phone!) Also... just do a Dalvik wipe and Data/Factory reset. Save yourself the trouble of messing things up the first time. Also, please note that this does take a good while (~5min) to boot the first time, just like many of the other new 2.1 ROMS.
DOWNLOAD v0.7 HERE!
Screenshots HERE!
OPTIONS:
Add Sprint Visual Voicemail
Return font to Android default
Issues and fixes:
1. There are reports of exchange not working. I can't confirm, deny, or debug this myself yet, because I don't have an exchange account anywhere. I'll have to meet up with my buddy that uses exchange at work to try and debug this later.
2. To set a wallpaper, long press on the desktop, or use the photos app. You cannot change these using the settings menu; it only works with sense.
3. Lock screen images are not supported yet. Flipz did an awesome job at fixing the AOSP lockscreen, but he hasn't yet found out how to make it work with images.
4. You might not find every app in the Market, but it's pretty close. No fix yet.
5. All other problems: Please wipe and reflash. Occasionally, a flash just doesn't come out right. (This even used to happen to me back when I was a Windows Mobile user) If you've wiped and reflashed, then post and ask for help!
Sounds sweet! Screen shots?
No screen shots?

screen shots are coming now
Ok they're up now. link in first post.
cool man I will test this out later tonight
Everyone have fun and let me know what you think. I've gotta be in class in 5 hours, and I need to hit the sack. Be easy on me, this is my first attempt at a ROM.

Wipe everything before you flash. Data/Factory reset and Dalvik.
I used RA's latest 1.6.2 recovery to flash this, and it works fine on my 'with google' phone. Though that shouldn't make a difference.

No, it won't. Use Facebook Sync from the market, and then your google contacts will be updated with facebook photos. Then your contacts always have pictures, even if you flash a different rom

Mix and match tweakz = crazy fast Evo + great battery life

Hello All,
I had been tweaking my Evo for a week and came to a good solution.
I was trying to achieve the best speed with the best battery life.
HTC appz works and camera working also.
What tweak was used:
Compcache + JIT (no crash or reboot) after a week of use.
Removed HTC lock screen and use AWD Launcher Pro (disable HTC Sense)
Use 4G Widget and Flashlight Widget.
Use Flash 10.1 for Android 2.1
Use a static wallpaper
Rom use:
Fresh .03 as base and included the compcache and A2SD. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700448
Currently using Aloysius 3.0.2 rom as it is the same as Fresh .03 but with colors theme. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=702361
JIT From Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699814
Remove HTC lock:
I use option 2 because I needs the alarm clock. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=707466&highlight=lock+screen
Disable HTC Sense:
Use alternative launcher.
Using Widget:
4G Widget. **Warning** 4G will be be enable each time after a reboot when using this appz. Make sure to turn it off with the widget. Using 4G drains the battery quick. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695056
Flashlight Widget: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696014&highlight=flashlight
Launcher:
I use AWD Launcher Pro, but any other launcher can be use as the home screen.
Direction:
1) Make sure to nandroid your current ROM just incase you want to goes back to it.
2) Make a backup of your appz using Titanium Backup.
3) Make sure to wipe completely before flashing to Fresh .03 or Aloysius 3.0.2 ROM
4) Remove HTC lock screen and use a different type of launcher.
5) Use a static wallpaper.
6) Restore your appz with Titanium Backup
7) At this step, make a nandroid backup before installing JIT just incase soming went wrong during JIT installation.
8) Install JIT.
9) Configure the EVO to your liking and enjoy. (may reboot or force close during setup of some programs. after that, it was completely stable)
Result:
The first few usages of the Evo might result in reboot but after that it was great. I am currently using my Evo for a week now and it had not reboot or force close. The only things I notice is the increase in speed and battery life. All the appz launch quick and runs just as quick. The animation is very smooth. The HTC appz (such as dialer, texting, contacts) seems to works just as well. Overall, I am very satisfy with the result.
Credits:
It goes to all the Developers whom had created the incredible roms and programs that makes it possible for this tweakz.
Thanks minhgi
development ftw
EDIT: ooooh a guide has formed.. word
You should put this together and release it, I like the things you did and added.

thanks for letting me know of linpack
What exactly does JIT do for the EVO?
It just something that will speed up android 2 - 5 time and is found in froyo.
I just tried installing jit on fresh .3 but I got a signature verification error. Has anyone else run into this?
make sure your Evo is completely rooted. Also you might wanna post in Fresh forum to get a complete answer.
Anyone here knows of a good guide to enable backswap with compcache?

I had try to follow these guides but was not able to to find if backswap status was enable or not.

[ROM] Double Headed Monster v1

I'm releasing and will be maintaining two roms.
Currently this rom should work with any of the custom kernels that are updated, eventually I will release my own kernel but I will not be messing with that until we get froyo. This has only been tested with the DI07 Kernel. You should have some variant based off the most recent update or this may not work.
Instructions
1. Back up your current setup
2. Download and place in the root of your sd card
3. Reboot to clockwork recovery
3a. Wipe Cache (Data / Factory reset should not be necessary but if you have issues go back and wipe both).
4. Flash zip
5. Reboot (Sleek download continue below, Base users are finished. Don't forget to set location preferences in settings > location.
Below steps only for Sleek users
6. Wait for reboot to finish, media search etc..
7. Log into google accounts let it sync
8. Open titanium backup > go to problems > click yes to install busy box
9. Enjoy. Customize as you like. In addition I open titanium and remove: SystemUpdates, all the tts items, voicedialer, voicesearch, setupwizard, task manager, twlauncher and adw launcher.
9a. I then Install startup manager (free on market) and stop all the random **** that isn't necessary from starting up. Namely: any user installed apps, alarm clock, calendar, calendarstorage, download manager, maps, myuploads, com.samsung.phone.info, settings, calendar voice dialer, wimaxrc, voicemail, titanium. Doing all this results in a lot of free memory on reboot!
234mb free ram on boot w/ above changes
A data wipe should not be necessary. If you encounter problems then you will need to full wipe and then reinstall the zip.
ROM Options
1. Base rom, including full touchwiz with all the goodies that come with that. Stock, deodexed and optimized.
2. Sleek and smooth, which is my actual daily rom since I hate Touchwiz, social networking junk and sprint crapware. I've added launcher pro, adw, fancywidget (htc clock w weather) and titanium backup.
Both roms are deodexed and optimized.
Current Bugs
WIFI / Bluetooth - Will cause radio to loop do not use until a fix is tracked down (I think i know what the issue is)
NO OTHER ISSUES
Future Updates
First priority is to get WIFI / Bluetooth fixed (I think I know the issue)
I will be changing the lock screen in a future update and offer different .zips and options for those of you in addition to some themes and graphical changes
I will be working on modifying and including the aosp calendar at some point. There is a bug with it currently and its not displaying properly on anything other than agenda mode so its not included right now.
I will ultimately offer a new kernel, for now all the kernels based off of DI07 should work fine. Including OC. In the interim I will package some of the more popular kernels with this rom for you to choose from but right now whatever kernel you were using will stay after flashing.

Your kernel will stay with whatever you were using prior to flashing.
Its the epic's version of touchwiz. I doubt anyone is going to bother trying to port 3.0 when samsung is going to release it in a few weeks. So many people ask for the apks and such in a flashable zip so thats what base will provide except they have been dodexed and optimized.
Sleek has other changes and things removed. Base is just base.

Yes! I'm downloading now and will test this out for the next few days. I'll report back after some usage.
I want Rom support cdma in Thailand pless
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
Nice ROM. Very fast and visually very nice... But there are some problems that I have found.
1) *228 PRL update will Force Close the Phone App. (this is a deal breaker for me)
2) The HTC keyboard enclosed will Force Close if you change input to that (I dont use it anyway, bought Smart Keyboard pro)
3) Some reports of Beautiful Widgets Weather not geolocating.. I had an issue with getting it to do this with the Accuweather setting for weather, but once I put it to Google for weather it worked and worked once I set it back to Accuweather.
4) When entering APNS settings for MMS Carrier settings, when you scroll down the settings you inputted if they scroll off the screen they are lost.. The only way to do this was to enter settings, save... go back in, scroll down... enter the other settings. Save... etc etc...
5) does not recognize the network its connected to, so the roaming signal will show on US Cellular for example, even though it is NOT roaming

2) Haven't looked, I don't use that KB. Might remove.
3) Interesting
4) What method are using to enter APNS?
5) Just like CM6, you can place a custom eri.xml in /data. This will fix the roaming indicator

1) Will try that when I put the ROM back on.. went back to Cyanogen for today at work..
2) Yes totally force closes, even on fresh install
4) Using voice dialer and saying Open APNS.. then edit the info.
5) Will try that..
The HTC IME mod keyboard does work. I installed, uninstalled, and reinstalled and it worked. So you might want to try it.
So far so good on the ROM. Everything seems to work fine, the battery life is pretty decent, and I'm happy with it. Only problem is that my Friends widget with Launcher Pro Plus doesn't seem to work. Both my twitter and facebook are linked, but the widget doesn't seem to retrieve statuses/tweets.
I just deleted the HTC_IME, it was too glitchy for me.. another thing that needs to be removed, the FM Radio.. does not work with CDMA Desire at all...
Reloaded this ROM and made the XML mod so it wont show as roaming anymore. Also *228+ works just fine... Loving it so far. Apps2SD doesnt allow as many apps to be moved to the SDCard like in Cyanogen (For example I cant move some of Adobe flash to the SDCard, can on Cyanogen but not on MIUI) Not a big deal as I have a custom MTD layout that gives me 230mb of free space on fresh install =)

Good to hear! Yes, I intended to remove FM radio, but forgot. Working on getting this mornings release of MIUI ported over as we speak.
Which custom MTD did you use? I'm considering going that route as well.
hell yeah
Like this one very much it is very solid only probs i have encountered were covered by cythrawl.

used Firerats Custom MTD from this thread here: http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/topic/...-installing-cyanogenmod6-gapps-firerats-cmtd/
Gives you 150mb for system and gets rid of the cache partition so cache will then be on your Data partition instead.. That way the cache partition isn't sitting there not used (like most of the time) and can be used by the system instead.. However this would be bad if you really fill the phone up and have no room for any cache.. Just keep on top of it. Got a ton of apps installed now and I still have 180mb free on the device.. .. Not had any performance issues running it this way with either Cyanogen OR MIUI.
Just follow the guide there, and instead of using Cyanogen use the MiUI Rom... Works a treat..
How much of the system partition does MIUI use? You may have to edit the mtdpartmap.txt (as outlined in my guide linked in the post above; section 'Installing') so that the ROM will fit.
Otherwise, if you get a fully functional build up, I would love to try it out

It IS fully functional as long as you do what I said a couple of posts back, delete the FM Radio App, HTC_IME and put the ERI file in so you get carrier stats so you dont get the roaming symbol anymore.
System storage using the Firerat MTD of 150 2 gives me 35.44mb free on the 150mb System partition..
This ROM is really growing on me... Some things to consider..
Do NOT use titanium backup to backup and restore the APNs to MIUI, make sure you enter them yourself from scratch.. Also do NOT restore any SMS messages.. It will make your message app FC all the time.. start from scratch with that.. Using Titanium to restore stuff like Angry Birds saves etc is fine, just dont use it for any system stuff, looks like it has some compatibility issues..
Other than that, and the *228 issue (just use *228+) its great... It looks and feels totally different from other Android ROMS which is probably why I am liking it..
Besides, do a nandroid backup and take the plunge...

[ROM]BlazeROM V.2 EXT4-EDIFY 01/16/2010 Released ~Swype Edify updated 1/20/2011~

Welcome to BLAZEROM!!!!!!!!!!!
About my ROM
My Roms goal is to have an extremely optimized and feature rich rom....i will be optimizing files until i hit my goal and just for you i will keep optimizing.
I read people wanting faster and slimmer roms all the time, and i am focused on giving you that.I am always looking at other roms seeing what i can make smaller and providing that to you.
My rom is not and will probably never claim to give new things however it is a feature rich, slim and getting slimmer rom with features in other roms to make BlazeROM faster and faster while saving your battery.
If you have any ideas for this rom let me know as well as a tutorial and/or link of this so that i can read up on it as i am still learning.

how bout the undervolt mod in viper's rom and swype for sure! then im definetly in
wired tether
Wired Tether is pretty useful to. hopefully it could work in this feature rich rom.
http://code.google.com/p/android-wired-tether/
this one is really good but needs kernel suport so I dont know how you could get it to work,. good luck I really hope it can work.
Sounds good!!! Ext4 or rfs??
Sent from my Samsung-SPH-D700 using XDA App
I personally would ditch astro and replace it with root explorer
Sent from my ext4 rooted epic running midNIGHT ROM and Gingerbread theme
I tried optimizimg my apk files to a smaller size, the apk's did get smaller but the overall speed of my rom got slower and it started getting some fc's for some apps.
Point that im trying make is that doing too much optimization will hurt the overall performance speed-from my expirience, but different methods can have different results.Try none optimized version vs optimized version and see for youself which is faster, just givin you heads up.
Let me know when your ready and I'll put your rom though the paces.

I had plans to get rid of swype to free up more room however for now it will stay as i highly love the black swype keyboard. As for the undervolt i am iffy in touching his stuff as he claims EXT4 support however edify support is not their.Ill ask him though.

I was thinking about changing however astro is simple enough for now.Probably will change later however unless things change it won't be changed to root explorer.

I am still learning what i want to do optimization wise, ive got a procedure set for all image files however i am not sure about .apk/ app/system files as of yet if you could give me insight on this through pm that would be great.
Thank you PTFDMedic your rom will be serving as my starting base. Thanks for giving me support and a great rom to encourage me to make my own.
Thanks for the support thus far.I will get V.1 Up as soon as possible.
I know you said based on Midnight, so I hope you use Launcher Pro and remove TW
i actually cannot find where the TW launcher is it doesnt say or im not looking hard enough i have a launcher entitled launcher2 but i dont see anything else not even launcherpro.

Depending on your theme colors you can have a themed market like blue or black. I'll def. Try it out. Wish you the best of luck

Feel free to use whatever... The undervolt doesn't need ext4 to function... If you don't want to use it though, anyone can download the viper store from the market and flash it themselves.
And congrats.

tried to do that with the undervolt...on the cwm 3 it rejected it saying that it has to be edify compatible.
i have removed touchwiz and it is going to be a launcherpro rom.i am hoping to release this sometime tonight however i am running into a few problems so we will see, mainly my bootanimation is not working and should be.
in response to BTThomas my rom is EXT4/EDIFY your rom only is EXT4 until your rom and .zips are edify compatible they won't install properly.
Perhaps if you don't know how you could message PTFDMedic as he seems to know it from the back of his hand and has done several.Thank you however for allowing me to use your .zips, etc when they are all edify complaint.

Will LauncherPro be removeable? I much prefer Zeam, because its about 1/4 the size of LauncherPro, and its updated regularly.
