Not sure if anyone can help - go easy on me - its my first post!!
After swapping and changing my phone from HTC touch HD, Sony Ericsson Xperia, Samsung Innov8, I decided to get a Samsung HD Omnia.
I am really pleased with the phone and all the features but have got one niggly problem that is REALLY starting to annoy me.
Whenever I download anything from the web, (widgets, orange maps, or anything that would be installed to my phone) I am getting lots of small icons that would be used in the program ive downloaded going into my media album viewer/Media Browser. This is making it an absolute pain in the backside to try and differ between my own photos taken and the stupid icons that it has downloaded.
An example is downloading orange Maps - I now have over 200 small icons (arrows, signs, MPH limits) that have fallen into my media browser.
Ive looked through all settings and cant see how to turn this off..
I usually come here to find all of my solutions but so far havent seen this problem. . Can any of you clever people assist?!!?
As this is an HTC devices only forum yo won´t get too much atention, however in off topic there is a thread regarding samsung, perhaps there you can get more help.

So, wanna put an internet filter on my WM6.5 enabled Imagio. I can only find ones for iSuck, any one got any idea where I can find a good one? Yes, I want to block any 'questionable' sites. I do have kids that sometimes get to play with my phone, and especially now that they can get on the internet from it, want it as safe as my home system.
Anyone got anything?

As I said in an earlier thread I just changed my iPhone 3Gs with an HTC HD2.
What do you think? I was stupid?
Anyway I can tell you that I did it because I was stuck in 3.1.3 OS blocked on Orange. And I am VDF RO customer....
So I decided to do something! And I chosed HTC HD2.
But now I am thinking if I did a right thing!?!?
Windows Market is not available for Romania and I can not find too mane apps which should give me the same feeling as iPhone apps did in the past.
Exemples:
-on iPhone I was using apps for checking local transportation in Bucharest, here I didn't see this;
-on iPhone I was using ten's of apps for checking trailers of movies, here I didn't find;
-on iPhone I had LinkedIn app for checking my account, here I didn't find;
-on iPhone I had Yahoo Mess, Skype, apps here not
Do I miss repositories for WM6.5?
Anyway I already took 4 apps for WM6.5 from xda-developers forums, and all of them had an issue running on my HTC HD2.
What's going on? Do I have a wrong image about WM6.5 or fast I have to go on Android or back to Apple?

Why not, is not a problem with WM at all, because there are such apps for HD2, you just have to find them.
For example I have Skype and it works great. And if you can't find the same apps, maybe there is some similar.
So head up and don't think that you made a mistake, because you didn't.

you must search first, and you will find almoust everything or every app you will need. almoust.

I used to have the iphone and am glad I switch to the HD2, it is ten times better. But if you are asking those questions, I would say go back to your iphone as you are not even comprehending what the HD2 can do and is. Just because you don't find certain apps should not be a decision to make to choose a phone. Do what you think is best for you.

The answers are:

Use Metro, search google for it and you will find it.
-on iPhone I was using ten's of apps for checking trailers of movies, here I didn't find;
Use Opera 10 with flash, and search for the web site that suite you best.
-on iPhone I had LinkedIn app for checking my account, here I didn't find;
Again: Use Opera 10 to logg in via web browser!
-on iPhone I had Yahoo Mess, Skype, apps here not.
Search the forum here for the apps called OzIM, and Skype. And you will find them, I did. You will aslo find apps for icq jabber and more.
And also do a check on youtube to compare the iCrap to the HD2, The leo is a better gadget. And you will find tons of applications for wm if you search google right.
So you did the right choice bying the HTC HD2. It rules the marked as #1!

Anybody experienced this either with Copilot or other apps?
It can't find the damn internet?! I had one other app which could never figure out it was on wifi, but that was just some freeware, this i paid for (yes I asked them, but they'll probably take ages to reply...if at all)
So any idea of some sort of work around? Naturally my wifi is active and working.
So ive noticed that daily briefing and feeds & updates only seem to work when im connected to data and not when im on wifi. obviously this is a problem since wifi uses less battery and runs way faster (at least for me). Anyone know why this is?
At this point I just found alternative widgets through the market, though I can't seem to find one for twitter. I like the Feeds & Updates cuz it covers a while page and you can scroll, I havent another widget that will do this, and Ive tried as many of the twitter apps as i could find. anyone maybe know of one that im unaware of?
