Im wondering if anyone has found a soft case that doesn't attract lint and dust to it like a magnet. I currently have the cheap silicon one from ebay.
dcmugen88-- search ebay for his epikcases. he includes really great screen protectors as well.
I find silicon ones always attracting lint from my trouser pocket for some reason, which is why I had almost forgotten the existence of silicon cases.
Just my 2 cents.
well anyway, why not go leather?
Take a look if you got a min or so it's pretty cheap for what it is

Try out the gelli by case mate. Not soft but it is flexible and a great alternative to silicone. Look up an iPhone review of the same case to see what I mean.
Everyone I have mentioned it to has purchased one.

Will surely take a look indeed my friend. I saw another member beard shared something similar to what you described, and it's quite interesting actually.
gonna dig through it a little more.
Cheers
Anyone using it?

You got to find it
Sorry for bad English.
They should at least publish a picture with that Case actually mounted on the P500....I would like to see that before buying.
I wouldn't put a hard plastic case on ANY of my devices, even if you pay me too
Get a TPU one instead
stupid question: whats a TPU?
TPU is a kind of a plastic. TPU stands for Thermoplastic Polyurethane. Its useful for its transparency and elasticity. Its also scratch resistant to a level. Hence can be utilised for making mobile phone cases.

Are most people using a case for the P500? I think I like it without, but haven't tried a case yet. I like how easy I can slip it into my pants pocket and the back is grippy enough and doesn't really show marks as it is.
I am using the amzer black silicon case, its nice
silicon or tpu?
ok which one should i go with?

I would go with TPU because I had bad experiences with the silicone case that I first bought (wasn't from that company). I think TPU has better protection and is easier to slip into your pocket that's why I would pick TPU.
I have the white TPU clear case from ebay. Initially I always had it on the phone but I find that it adds unnecessary weight and bulkiness to the phone. I've had the case off for about a month now and I find it more usable compared to before, probably cos I was always worried it would get scratched.
I ordered the one in the OP and it should be coming in today or tomorrow, I'll take pics, upload them along with my thoughts.
Im not sure if its just mine but the case did not fit well, almost as if the phone was too big for the case. the parts of the case that were supposed to snap together did not make contact. oh well, will have to try a TPU case next.
TPU
Does lint and dust stick to TPU easily? That's one thing I hate about rubber cases.
Has anyone tried one of these? It looks tough as heck and aesthetics are pretty nice as well. Gives the S a Toughbook look.

Looked good until I read the customer review. If anyone wants to try one id be interested in getting a review from here instead of a 'customer'
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Looks like the same ones on pdair
I have a pdair from amazon.uk
i think its one of the best for 20€.
the only thing i dont like is that its very hard to touch the dropdown menu.
ps: cant post link
i would prefer a rubber case if any one knows what they are like or where to get them that would be great
i like the metal case but it think its too tough and looks like my SGS was built for war in iraq or something. i think that if it dropped with the metal case on it would still damage, but as for a nice thick rubber case, that should soak up the majority of impact when the phone hits the floor,,, or have i been watching the movie 'Flubber' too many times lol
Personal preference for a leather flip top case on most phones .

thanks for posting that... i like that alot plus its protecting the screen when im not using it... gunna invest in one of them bad boys before i drop my phone............ AGAIN
That makes the slim Galaxy S so fat!
I use mine with nothing on it. not even a screen protector. haven't got a scratch yet.. dropped it twice
I like it slim. Nice to touch and wont make me feel restrained when I walk with it in my pocket.
Back to topic, i think the pull down menu will be too hard to pull down if your fingers are big.. are you sure about it? Gonna be hell of an annoyance to use
If only that metal case doesn't have a clip at the back. I know the clip is removable, but I don't like the circle that sticks out.

My concern is about to use the volume buttons and on/off...
I like both...
I think otterbox does to phone look more better looking.
And case mate tough the phone looks realy more tough but at same time more thick as the otterbox...
Or i'm wrong??
Need help, can someone help??
Still have not found any review about the otterbox commuter for our Galaxy S I9000...

I can vouch for the case mate tough as all the buttons are easily accessible. The inner silicone sleeve actually protrudes nicely into the hard shells button slots. In other words, 3 button recovery hasn't been this easy using any other case.
I have only had 1 drop using this case (knocks on wood), and it does make a reassuring thud on impact.

Put Ghost Armor Matte on my Skyrocket but am getting annoyed with how parts of it peel. Used to throw Best Skins Ever on every device without issue. Any suggestions on the best thinnest case vs. protective skins?
The Cellaris case here seems interesting for it's aluminum cover: https://www.cellairis.com/product/cellairis-fender-case-for-samsung-galaxy-s-ii-skyrocket-i727-black
So does this cheap TPU case: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1678753
Thinnest case probably is the Rearth Ringke.
http://www.rearthusa.com/galaxy_skyrocket.html
I m using diztonic TPU, not sure if it is the thinnest but is quite nice

I have a generic TPU case (no idea what brand) and by my ruler/eye it is 12mm, so the one linked above is only .5mm thinner. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't notice the difference.

I have the BodyGlove case. It's hard rubber, nice grip and adds protection to the screen because it overlaps the front of the phone. It works well because I've dropped it on my concrete patio out back and the phone was unscathed. The best feature was the $10 price tag at WalMart. Looks similar to the Rearth Ringke and the Diztonic TPU. Great purchase.
I have found the Seidio Surface line to be the thinnest and offer the best protection. Excellent product, have had this model on my last three devices.
This case is hard shell with thin padding on the inside you protect the finish of your phone. And it has a matte finish that gives your Skyrocket a much better surface to hold on to that the slick stock finish.
You can find the case alone for around 25 bucks, or with the belt clip holster as a combo for 30 - 35 if you Google in the right places.

The Surface case is very thin. Here's a video review I located.
Excellent case IMHO.
And here's a link to Amazon with a pretty good price on the case and holster combo -> http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-BD2-HR3SSSKY-BK-SURFACE-Holster-Skyrocket/dp/B006NYOW8S/ref=pd_sim_cps_6

Jus' sayin', y'know, if blue's your thing...
Thanks guys. Think I am sold on the Seidio given the 1mm thickness and past use of their stuff. Have the TPU case from here on order but might just get both and compare.

I'm tempted to get the blue Seidio considering how little it costs, but the wife might just kill me if I have another case delivered right after getting my new Diztronic TPU (which replaced that black case after I destroyed it, which replaced the Diztronic TPU she now has, which replaced a series of Dragoncell hybrid cases, which replaced an Otterbox, etc...I have case ADHD).
If it helps domestic peace any it seems the Platinum case / rebranded Seidio Surface + Holster can be had on eBay from US sellers for around $10 Although reading some threads it seems it only comes in black.
I think I'm going to get one of these although I am seeing some posts saying that the bottom can be a little loose for some. Hoping it's the exact same build quality as the Seidio branded version.

Don't worry about resurrecting an old thread... Our accessories forum isn't too active anyway
I have the Infuse 4g dock (compatible with skyrocket)
However there isn't that much space. The dock works best when the rocket is naked

Thanks for the reply.
Bare phones always seem to work better with docks. I have this dock in picture and that's the one I'd like to know if it would work with the seidio surface case.
To answer own concern, yes it does fit. Perfectly.

I like the Seidio Active line, myself. I've used them on all of my Android phones and they offer great protection without adding much weight or bulk.

Cool man! I don't doubt you will like it. I'm staying tuned to this thread as I have a bit of a case addiction.

My wife uses the incipio sillicrylic it is a nice case, however I just cant stand the case being loose on the sides of my phone. I am using the speck candyshell and it is built well with no flapping of the inner layers.
The only knock against the candyshell is don't plan on taking it off and on a lot it is a beast to get the case off the phone.
Right now I'm using the Speck Candyshell with a Steinheil ultra crystal (I think) screen protector. I cn honestly say that out off all the cases I've used on all the phones I've owned, it seriously is amazing. Best one I've ever used. I always had an issue with dust, dirt, lint, or whatever else getting into my cases. So I started cleaning them every day. Well with this case, it's not an issue one bit!! It's a hybrid case. So it has a rock hard outer shell, with a nice hard silicone inside. The corners are almost "split" So if you drop it, the silicone will absorb all of the impact. Also, the edges on the front around the screen are all that same hard silicone. Couple it with a good seen protector and your good to go!!
Since its a hybrid case it doesn't add much thickness to the phone at all. It's amazing. Buttons all work perfect too.
It might be on the the expensive side, and a b*tch to get on and off at first... But it is WELL worth it!

I love my ROCK Quicksand case, looks great and adds no bulk, but grip. Won't protect your phone much, but.....be careful with it..

Also the ballistic slim case is not what I anticipated it to be. I'll probably be selling that and picking up the candyshell or feather case.

When playing with the silicone, yeah it is (compared to the Ballistics case for instance) but in real use it's treated me well. Did you get the incipio in a color other than black? If so, I may be interested in purchasing from you if you don't want it.
