You can get the cabs from the tmobile 2.26 extended rom. And im pretty sure they do work. Havent tested them out though.
OZ IM works for sure. I don't think MDA's support MyFaves.

Yes you can, but when you flash the rom it becomes wm5, I just need the cabs, not a reflash.

Are you able to send my the IM cabs or point me in the right direction. I was reading on the myfaves they are some people that got the software to work on it. I read some info on the howard forum.
While the MDA doesn't support the fancy myFaves graphic on the phone like the Blackberry Pearl or any of the other myFaves compatible handsets, if you have myFaves on your account you can still set it up with the numbers you want. You just don't get the fancy way to call/SMS/MMS/whatever them. You still get the free calls to those numbers.
At least that is how it was explained to me when I asked at work the other day.
Dave
I am using an MDA with Touch Rom and just running the MyFavs cab without any problem. I receive and send updates to myfav 5 from my handset. Works like a champ for me!
here the link from Herald's forum for working myfavs cab

myfAVS
Can you please repost the link for the myfavs?

Possible to extract ATT messaging CAB/Program

I really like the yahoo/msn/aol messaging applications that comes with the ATT 8925 ROM, is there any way to extract this program for future use on future cooked ROMs? I'd really like to use the Kaiser ROM on my Tilt, but I really like the messaging App found on the ATT Tilt ROM. Anyone know where I can get the cab file for it? Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
well im+ isn't to bad i think you can get it for free if you know what i mean
I also heard Cerulean Studios is working on an ppc version of their upcomming Trillian Astra.

I'd like this too.
pulled from the ATT Rom...
I've not tried them on the HTC ROM so can't verify their functionality.
Please report back with your results.
OZ is no good

what doesn't work?
Check and make sure you are using MediaNet as your ISP. I use wap.cingular and the only one I have ever gotten to work is Yahoo...
are there any clients that'll work on tmobile's network using sms? that's one thing I always liked about old motorola phones on generic firmware.
oz
I had a oz program on my tmobile wizard and it worked great but this one doesn't work for me I have a kaiser with the stock rom and liked this on my buddys tilt?
your post inspired me to do some searching to try the wizard tmobile oz im on my kaiser. I found this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=260893
installed the oz on my phone. I use tmobile usa. I tried a logon and got an im on my computer saying I logged in on another device from aolsystemmsg. But the oz client seems to die. I get to receiving buddy list, and then it says communication error. Doh

im running the OEM Kaiser ROM and have had no problem using the OZ messenger (i only use it for AIM though. haven't tried yahoo or MSN). as someone else points out, make sure you are using MediaNet instead of MyISP. that was the first thing I did when i flashed the new ROM. i checked the default internet connections in everything and made sure it was all set to MediaNet (i also removed the proxy within the MediaNet settings but doubt that that would effect it).
WOOT! Thanks been looking for this and it works on my 8925 I'm using yahoo and aim.

Need someone w/ T-Mobile & Working OZ Instant Messenger PLZ

Hey all,
Us Dash users (and others?) using the T-Zones Proxy have been completely unable to find an IM program that works...
http://www.breaksoft.com/Blog/Utilities/2005/1/Mobile_Registry_Editor.aspx
I would greatly appreciate it if someone with the T-Mobile ROM and working OZ Instant Messenger and could use that ^ registry editor and export [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\OZ Communications]
I'll make us all a .reg file, and using that and the .cab from Cingular it should work...
Does the PPC version count? I've got it from the htc wizard
Yeh, probably.
Could you post it please?
See if this will work for you.
I hope this works because that's the only program I'm missing since flashing my tmobile dash to the newer HTC rom.
if the other cab file doesn't work, here's another one.

MortScript for Fring

I dont know if you guys encountered this or not . But Fring doesn't work with manila (HTC Sense) enabled .
I need a script of mortscript that will
1. Disable HTC Sense
2. Launch Fring
so i can replace that script in place of fring icon on start menu...
Can anyone help me with this...
Thanks.
Here is the code to disable Sense.
Code:
RegWriteDword("HKLM","\Software\Microsoft\Today\Items\HTC Sense","Enabled","0")
RedrawToday
Sleep("3000")
I have no clue what fring is! Is it a program? If so, you can launch it by this code...
Code:
Run("\Windows\fring.exe")
Just an example, use the actual use path.
Fring
Can someone create cab that will disable sens run Fring and enable it again?
It will help to start working with Fring
Thanks

Can someone please post NaviService.dll from a European HD2?

I've found that this dll controls the default navigation software in apps such as Navipanel and Footprints. On my Tmobile USA HD2, Telenav is provisioned as the default navigation software, but I would like to use Copilot instead. I've managed to hack a way to start Copilot but the commands in navipanel and such are hard coded to Telenav. I believe that the dll from any HD2 that has Copilot preinstalled will fix this. Thanks.
Adam
I am trying to do the same thing. I tried installing the cab found in
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=639964&highlight=navipanel with no luck. It's still pointing at telenav.
I think I've found out what we actually need. can someone upload \windows\alksdk.dll from a European HD2.
then set up the following registry value
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\NaviSW
"SDKModule"="\windows\alksdk.dll"

Hello,
here you go. Hope it helps !
Thanks, things are progressing on this. All of the buttons are enabled now and they open copilot. but they all open copilot to the map screen instead of opening to the appropriate feature. I'm going to keep working on this but if anyone has ideas let me know.
Thanks for the heads up. I too got mine to the point where CoPilot starts up but doesn't do anything specific. I think that we should look into the registry settings on a stock Euro HD2 and compare it to the ones on our TMOUS HD2's because that might be all thats keeping CoPilot from receiving the specific commands. But I don't exactly know how to do that. Is there such thing as a registry dump?
Adam
I use mobile registry editor v1.1 to look through the registry on the device but there are many programs built to do that. PHM Registry editor has an option to dump to .reg files.
http://handheld.softpedia.com/get/S...try/PHM-Registry-Editor-Pocket-PC-20041.shtml
If someone can get us the dump of a stock european rom's registry we can see what's different. Otherwise I can flash over to one and dump it.
So as I understand it we are going to need some help here. because the T-Mobile USA phones can not flash to a european stock rom.
