agree, i am using olivetree and it is the best though it has small icons on the bottom. i also read on it the arabic version of the bible too. P.S. set the scrolling on Taping to "Screen" and it works great.
Thanks a lot! It is a very useful app!

somebody in elf-forum asked for a way, or an app, to geta tv-out solution for his smart phone.
i'd like to write about a very interesting freeware. it brings your pda-screen on your windows screen. it's like a kind of remote-desktop app for windows mobile.
i often use it and i think, it will not stay as a freeware for everytime.
because it does its job very good.
i made a donation, because it was worth to donate...

Man, at the bottom of this subforum (on the first page at the time of this thread creation) there is a very detailed review of this great app by Menneisyys (including word MyMobiler in the thread name...). Nice to see a donator though, developers should feel that their work is appreciated.

Hi,
I'm new to HTC, and windows mobile. I'm having great difficulty in finding apps that I want, how do I go about finding them until the XDA marketplace is up and running?
I'm currently after an ebay app if there is one, and also a converter app. Also I've read somewhere that there's an app/cab file that allows any program to be in landscape or portrait, but I can't remember the name. Think it was gyrator or something but I can't find it, any idea?

I can't help you with the ebay app, but you want BsB Tweaks to allow rotation in applications, or try PLToggle (in my sig below).
For the ebay app, I'd recommend searching in the windows apps forum (in general), rather than a phone specific forum.
Hope this helps

Mate, before you do buy things .. search .. search .. search! this community has a lot to offer and there is bound to be a freeware that can do what you are looking for.
Of course when all fails default to buying the app. If you find what you are looking for consider donating to the hardworking developers here.

Hi Snerkler,
Searchng on XDA is not easy (I should know). Use this tool, which should give you a fighting chance...http://www.google.com/advanced_search?q=+site:http://forum.xda-developers.com&hl=en&lr=&as_qdr=all.
Also look here ..http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/
And if you google "windows mobile apps" or "free windows mobile apps" you will be surprised what you can find!
Unfortunately we don't have an app store like that other device; however there are thousands of apps out there.
Just thought of another 2 sites:
Clove....http://www.clove.co.uk/
Handango....http://www.handango.com/homepage/Homepage.jsp?storeId=2218
If you are stuck after all this then do one thing.......send me your phone and pack it all in.
Good luck chap
WB
PS PM me if you need more info but don't want to look stupid on here. However you have been getting loads of help off people here which is good; no one's told you to get lost yet or to RTFW (read the wiki (lol)).
Must be your excellent Karma. Do enjoy exploring the world of Windows Mobile.

hey
could you point me in the direction of where that is being developed
thanks
There's a nice app store app you can get from http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-opnmarket.html that contains some of the xda initiatives (along with other developers creations). Otherwise just look through the forums for your device.
And of course there's Microsoft's own 'marketplace' app store for which there should be a 'Marketplace' app already installed on your phone (or you can go to
https://marketplace.windowsphone.com/default.aspx if you want to view it in a web browser (note that it doesn't work well if you're using Opera (despite that being on many flagship windows mobile handsets) - nice one Microsoft ).
Ian
Thanks Ian,
just installed Omarket, very impressed with it so far.

hey man thanks but i need specific one and someone who tried and test
and the most important think that the dictionary should give the synonym of english word ???
anyone can help ?????????
MDict for you?
There are LOTS of Dictionary for this soft...
Have you tried mobi reader? The program is free, but you have to look for the dictionary yourself. I"ll post the screen later when I get home.
You can search online and find free dictionaries everywhere. However, since they are free, the thesaurus aren't very good. But if you want, you can go to this website http://mobilereader.com and look around. They got thesaurus dictionaries for as low as $.99. I've never tried them since I have no need for a thesaurus.

hi man thanks
i will be thankful if give a link for those dictionary u talk about even if they are not for free
sorry for my english
The downloads page for this app is here:
www dot berbible dot org/downloads dot php
I'm a new user so I cant post outside links yet (moderators maybe you can fix the link for me?)
I tested this app, and it works quite well. The app is completely free, and free to share and distribute to as many people as you want (as long as you don't charge anyone else money). There are a few translations including the English Standard Version (ESV) , Bible in Basic English (BBE), King James Version (KJV), and World English Bible (WEB). I like the ESV version, but you can install any of them or all of them and choose which translation you want to look at.
So if you are looking for a free, simple bible for your touchscreen windows mobile device (I have the HTC HD2), this is a great option. They also have install options for Palm devices as well.

The one from youversion has a feature to download different versions.
Run the app.
open bible
hit upper bar
select version
hit the downward arrow next to version
finished
Here's a good one to try

Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...
If you need the offline Niv Bible, you can let me know. I have the file
Sent from my LG-P500 using XDA Premium App
Install Aldiko reader. Find an TXT/EPUB version of the bible (it's in the public domain, shouldn't be that hard to find). Load it up on your phone and into aldiko. That's it. (If you use Aldiko's catalogs feature, you should be able to find a few versions of the bible in the project Gutenberg library)
Alternatively, become an atheist. Removes the need for the bible
I have used BibleReader for many years. Works great on the Android. I have 4 different study Bibles loaded, complete with all the study notes and Hebrew and Greek dictionaries. I'm looking to find a cheap tablet (maybe a Nook?) to use just for this purpose. Would be great to take to church!
thats great thanks a lot

The YouVersion app mentioned above is good.
Another app (don't think it's in the Android Market) is MySword. Some of the same versions/translations and supplemental material but also some I had not seen elsewhere.
If you want NIV (there are 3 versions now), it's licensed so offline requires buying a license to it. Online access is provided though through both of these apps (and probably others).

I am using Cadre, which while it does require some downloading, seems to function fine once downloaded, and it has a lot of modules.
There are a lot of replies to JustinBlue, but I'll let it go.
