Hi Folks,
gyrator - can startup on boot be disabled?
any advice would be appreciated, its a great programme but I don't need it starting every time I start my HD2.
I cant see any reference to it in any startup / start folder so can't delete anything there, is it a reg tweak that's needed?
Thanks in advance.
use changescreen, this is one is more user friendly and this option can be changed
Registry:
HKCU,Software,HTC,Bootlauncher,Apps
Remove the Gyrator2 entry
great replies folks thanks very much i have now installed changescreen and its brilliant, does exactl the job i want without the bells and whistles of gyrator, and now i know also where registry hack for startups is which will be useful for other things. thanks again to both. !

Hi there,
----------------------
Well, after searching a little more on the Web I found it, and would like to share the method with you (since I couldn't find it here).
You need to create the ClearType key unde HKLM\System\GDI and under it create a new DWORD named Quality with a value of 4 (some sites say to use 1, I didn't try it). Reboot and voila, ClearType for you. It works under WM5 and WM6.
To disable it again just remove the ClearType key.
I Hope it helps.

I managed to change the system font from the Nina (wich I don't like) to Segue UI, but I cannot find an option or registry key that allow me to enable Cleartype.
It works perfectly inside applications that manage this (mobipocket reader for example) but not in the User Interface and other applications.
Thanks agains,
hello there what app did you use to add the reg key? .. i tied using phm regedit and the resco regedit apps but none of them sees to allow me to add a new key to my registry .. thanks in advance

Hi all,
i found out that in some rom selecting a menu is faster..
i mean the speed when you click [START] and press the [DOWN] button..
in 1908 menu selection is faster but in 1921 it is slow.. i think its a registry hack..
someone know?
Probably it has something to do with priorities.
I'm crazy searching for this amazing feature! No clues yet!
I've been also digging the registries without luck!
If someone here knows how, we'll greatfull!
Found a way to do it!
It seems I had found a solution for enable this feature. It's really an easy process just by doing manually or modifying the Registry. I'm still testing and I will open a new thread in case works properly. I'm also creating an OEM package for cookers.
for now, let me test a bit more...
Regards,
Just starting to cook my own ROM with the kitchen from Alex.
I was wondering if there are any other tools available to do the cooking?
I also started to create my own packages which works well but I have already run into some issues, so please help. ;-)
I have created a package to auto-configure the today theme, unfortunately the reg key that I am setting in my package does not stick!
The key that I am configuring is:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today]
"Skin"="\\windows\\Htc.tsk"
After flashing, it changes to:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today]
"Skin"="Htc.tsk"
So the \\windows\\ part has gone missing... Any ideas?
I was also wondering how I can update the ROM version so that I can keep track of some versioning?
One more item, how can I change the screens of the config wizard (after flashing), like align screen, set date/time, etc...
Also how can I change the default date/time displayed as it is always pointing to a date in 2007?
TIA for any help offered! I have searched alot but could not find anything related to this.
Hey I'm looking for the registry entry that controls whether auto-adjust backlight is on or off.
I searched and couldn't find it.
I'm doing the sashimi auto thing and would like to do all registry hacks at once.
If anyone has any other registry edits I should do, besides the ones listed in the tweak list, please fell free to list them. thank you.

Probably the best backlight program.. and very low overhead, uses almost no CPU
Hi all, is there any simple app, which can, when is executed, change some registry value to another? I am imagining in my mind some tiny exe file, which I can just run and it is done . Something fool-proof please, now I dont have too much time to learn Mort Script (but it is in my schedule )
Is there any solution for me? Or may I have to start downloading Mort Script manual
Thanks a lot for help! Have a nice day...
R.
The first thing on my mind is mort script.
So you are on the right track..
Folks, was this ever resolved?
pmsl look at Eq post above
Or look for a reg editor, probably you will have one in ur rom if its a cooked one.
Greetz.
