Hallo!
I've got an unusal problem...
I'd like to use my PPC (O² XdaMini) as a Bluetooth Dongle.
In my opinion there must be a way to connect the PPC with my notebook (that has no bluetooth integrated) via USB, and then to establish a bluetooth connection between my PPC and any other bluetooth device, which would finally be usable with my laptop.
This procedure is almost the same as using the PPC's integrated modem to get a webaccess with a notebook.
Of course I could buy a USB bluetooth dongle for my laptop. But there could be another way as well, isn't it?
Thx very much for your help, cheers
Sebi
have you got any answers?
I'm also looking for a "way" or " software"" to be able to do what you said. But I couldn't.
Did you have a solution.
This is a very common q - along with asking the same about Wi-Fi.
Currently, this is impossible.
Ok so I do a fair bit of IT support work these days and thought about all the nice little possibilities it would open up if I could connect my Touch Pro to the network or other devices directly via ethernet.
If you can get USB Network dongles these days, I don't see why you can't have a mini-usb one, but I don't see many around. Does anyone know of a product like this?
If there isn't one, perhaps you could ues a regular USB Network stick/dongle, and use a USB to mini-usb converter. Then I guess it would be a case of someone making a driver or app, right?
Any solutions or suggestions appreciated.
Thanks.
Have the same problem.
Lately I was wondering about the same thing. I've found some USB to RJ45 converters, and was wondering about drivers or app, have you finger something out?

Take a good look at any USB cable: the two ends are different. One end is for a USB Host (desktopPC/Laptop/Mac). The other end is for a USB **Device** (thumb drive, wireless network dongle, **YOUR PHONE**). Trying to plug two USB *Devices* together would be like trying to plug two USB thumbdrives together to swap files... or more acutately, pluging a USB Network dongle to your thumbdrive to access it over teh internets. ooh, it would be sweet if it were possible.
well that's a bummer. I was thinking that the phone can act as a host when you use the internet connection sharing....
yeah, different kind of host. Actually trying to get that second type of host working myself (Internet Sharing): The USB connection is the bad guy here, by design it's either host or device.
Now you migth find *bluetooth* RJ45 device, but why not just buy a wireless router for your network and use your Fuze's Wifi capabilities? If you plugged a USB Wifi dongle into your desktop, that should be enough to use your fuze's wifi to connect... activsync style. don't ask me how to use it via Internet Sharing, still trying that.
I am trying to develop an Andorid app that will turn the device into a USB connected mouse. I know there are a lot of stuff on the market like this but almost all of them require a software installation on the PC. What I want to do is to have the phone be recognized as a mouse driver.
My team and I have been doing extensive research on this as we have worked on Android before. We are having difficulty on how to turn the phone into a mouse driver. My first plan is to learn how real mouse gets recognized as a mouse from the PC and then translate that to Android device.
Any suggestions? We would really appreciate any ideas and inputs.
Thanks,
Very usefull work
I realy want this app but cant find...
U can speak with bluetooth mouse makers or microsoft! To know how a windows can find driver for mouse
Sorry for bad english!!!
Very good idea. I was hoping you might success.
Thanks for the response guys. I am looking into bluetooth function as well. The main problem seems to be the communication between the PC and the phone, so we are considering using a board but that will not be consumer friendly.
I wish I can just figure out how real wireless mouse works... it is a good idea as mentioned to contact one of the mouse makers but I don't think they will tell me anything xD
hi everyone, so i'm wondering if there is any way to install the motorola drivers to a flash drive... basically i want to connect my phone to my work computer but i do not have admin rights. the reason i want to do this is because our internet connection is extremely slow and unreliable, so i would like to use my unlimited data plan from my phone tethered to the computer. Ive done quite a bit of searching online, and short of cracking the admin password (which i dont want to do) i havent found anything that could help. If anyone has any ideas i would be very appreciative...
the IT guys are offsite, so asking them is not really an option... altho if i do see one here ever i plan on bugging him to install the drivers for me.
if i understand correctly, i think you would need the drivers installed on the computer to do usb tethering. the only thing i can think of is to have a whole bootable OS on the thumb drive, and boot that up and tether inside there. or maybe someone else knows something more..
i don't tether much, so i also don't know if there are any good wireless tethering options on thins device.. had you thought of that at all?
Without admin rights, having the stuff on a USB key is kinda useless - as you'd need admin rights to run the software on the USB key.
If you don't have the proper rights on the machine, you won't be able to install the appropriate software.
You could wifi tether, but if it's a workstation there's probably no wifi chip - and if you had a USB one you wouldn't be able to install the drivers for it...
If you're at work, unfortunately you're just going to have to work mate
yeah thats what i was afraid of unfortunately. thanks for the ideas though... guess i will just have keep streaming music through the phone...
Hi, is there any way to turn android into mouse/keyboard/controller without host on pc? i mean, can't phone act like it's bluetooth mouse and just send information bluetooth mouse would? it wouldn't require any 3rd party programs on pc to work or any other device, like another smartphone or something, i know this could be hard af but at least tell me if it's possible xD is it worth digging for days to find it or just waste of time
