I need to change the default save locations for Images, Audio and Video to a user defined directory (NOT My Documents) on the Storage Card.
I've searched for solutions and using Schaps Advanced Config or manually editing the registry under HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\Image\SaveFolder_0409 have not worked.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

Hello people
I was wondering if there is a way to change the default directory in which files received through bluetooth are stored. In example, I want them to be saved in \Storage Card\Incoming\Bluetooth instead of the default \My Documents folder.
I've tried a program in the past which gave me that option (though It did screw up my settings when uninstalled, and made my uni unable to receive files), so I guess it's probably a matter of changing something in the registry?
Thank you in advance!

Hi There, I notice that no-one has replied to this thread, I am also wondering the same as akpidis, though I have not tried any programs in the past.
Any help would be great!
Thanks to all in this great forum! and merry Xmas/Happy Holidays to all
I'm using Andot's WM6 Perfect ROM, and everything seems really great.
For some reason I can't change the location of my ringtones
In my registry I have entered this string:
HKCU\ControlPanel\SoundCategories\Ring\Directory =
\storage card\Windows
Because my device seems to keep its ringtones in the Windows directory instead of the \windows\rings\
But I can't seem to select any ringtones,,,,
Is there something wrong with my edit? Is there something special about the ringtones (naming or bitrate)?
Just a follow-up:
There has also been similar discussion on the Tornado forum, with more responses...
Essentially, it's ignoring the registry setting in hkcu/control panel/soundcategories and will only recognise foreign sound files in the directory \windows\application data\sounds
And only in phone memory, not storage.
Can anyone imagine any setting that might cause it to override or ignore the soundcategories registry entry?
I have searched and searched and about the only thing I found was to change the file associations for .mp3 files.
I have done this using Total Commander with the following parameters:
.mp3 -> \Windows\AudioManager.exe %1
Although this does reassociate with Audio Manger it does NOT however
a) actually play the .mp3 file when opening it. It just opens the audio manger
b) change any of the voice command associations.
I have tried resetting.
Please, any ideas? Different versions of MSVC/CVC? Registry hacks? Tweak apps? Oh, I also double checked with Advanced Config that the associations were there, and they were.
i am looking for this as well

Hi,
How about adding an extra parameter such as '/play' or '/run' (without quoatationmarks of course) ? Just like in the good old days of commandline ...
Dirk

folks; please let me know windows registry nodes where i can change the features like vibrate-mode, ringtone and keypad beeps?
Thanks
I will assume you ran into some difficulties using the search feature or were not certain as to what keywords to use.
Most systems sounds are handled in multiple areas. You may need to do some more research for some of the changes you are looking for on the Microsoft MSDN - note that some may not be changeable at all. Here's a few options for ringtones to get you on your way.
Option 1: copy the files to the My Ringtones folder.
Option 2: copy the files to the Storage Card.
Option 3: copy the files to the .\Windows\Rings folder.
Option 4: add the ringtone entries to Ringtones (MULTI_SZ) value of the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Sounds] key.
Option 5: create a custom package with a .PROVXML file similar to mxip_HtcApps_HTC_Ringtone_XXXX.provxml
HTH,

I use windows mobile 6.5
The standard location of photos is dcim/100media
Is it possible to change de path to the root?
frank
If you use a registry editor, changing the save path for the camera should be simple.
You just need to navigate to
HKLM\Software\HTC\Camera\P1\SaveFolder
and change the string value to the folder name you want.
or install schaps advanced config tool 3.3, it saves reg edits and lots can be changed using the app......... search on here or google for it.
