I have a problems with my htc. The light of keyboard always is On
I have the Energy.RAPHAEL.23544.Sense2.5_with_Cookie_HomeTab.Mar.10 and the radio is 1.14.25.3. What can i do?
thansk

I put the original roms and i still have a problems with my htc. The light of keyboard always is On. And the batery only during 4 hours because the keyboad dont turn of. Why can i do?

I think the problem is the switch or sensor that tells the phone the keyboard has been shut, mine does this occasionally. If I slide the keyboard shut firmly the light will go off. Hope this helps.

thanks for responme a try to open the keyboard an i try to fix them

Might want to see if you have anything else controlling the light. I know with LUMOs, I had trouble a couple times. Without it installed no troubles. Lumos apparently can control the length of the light for the backlight. So you might want to check if you have that or anything similar controlling the backlight. Also check your settings in Power to see if there's anything wrong there too.

Backlight not working

Hi I recently received an xdaII with windows mobile 5 on it.
However the backlight wasn't working, even if I try to hold down the power button.
Also when I try vjeschaton to toggle it on or off (the other functions work) it doesn't work, could the phone be damaged or do I need to re do the rom somehow?
(ie the backlight auto switched off when the battery and backup battery went down but on recharge a bug prevented the light coming on again)
any ideas people?
further problems now, I have tried installing xda II rom Xda_II_172187_Final and its predecessor and unfortunately it wont work, its stuck at the
USB v1.06 message page it seems I have problems updating it, maybe due to vista maybe due to active synch maybe due to something else... any ideas?
Resoved the 1.06 Problem, looked like it was a vista/versioning problem with activesynch
But the backlight is STILL NOT WORKING!
I know the light function is being selected because the other buttons light up, just not the backlight for the LCD
anyone got any ideas?
sounds like the lcd backlight "lamp" died to me

Odd Navicap Issue .....

today i noticed an odd issue with the lights on the navicap on my TP, When the screen switches off the lights on the navicap stay illuminated (The home, back, answer and hangup buttons) the light round the dpad/scroll wheel dont light up tho, i dont know how long this has been going on though as i have only just noticed it
does anyone know why this mite happen or any ideas to solve it
cheers
I also can confirm this issue.
Seems to happen only when the light has been activated in landcape mode.
I can recreate this failure every time I reply to a SMS:
Slide open keyboard
Keyboard and navipad lights come on
Reply to sms
Press power button
...and tada! The light is stuck on
The light will go off if I press the center dpad button before I turn off the device, or if I turn back on the device and tap the button.
This problem has followed me through 3 ROMs: the stock ATT Fuze ROM, the new ATT ROM, and an older EnergyROM (8/11/09, not sure which version anymore).
I can also confirm that this problem exists across multiple phones running stock software. My first Fuze had this problem, my current Fuze has this problem, and my friend's Fuze does too. Very odd.
Not a showstopper, but I figure it's the only annoyance I really have to put up with day to day, now that I've got the phone configured the way I like it.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Turn off touch keys backlight

Seems like no on ever solved this issue and would just like to crospost it here, to see if maybe someone here thought of something. I know where the damm keys are I dont need the backlight draining battery and making my room brighter than it needs to be.
While I still had BLN working < 2.3.4, I often find my phone with all touch buttons lit long after a notification was triggered. Then I looked at the current being drawn for the last 30min using Battery Monitor Widget, I saw no jump in current at all, still 5mA. So the buttons' backlight use insignificant amount of battery, you don't need to be concerned at all.

[Q] Samsung Focus 1.3 Proximity/Light Sensor problem

Does anyone know if there is an issue with the proximity and light sensors in the Samsung Focus v1.3? Neither of them work on mine.
When I go into Diagnosis, the Proximity Sensor test shows XXX where the detection value would be, and the light sensor says "Val: 0000" in red where the ambient light value would be.
This means whenever I make a call, I have to hit the sleep button on the phone to turn the screen off, lest I accidentally press buttons on it with my ear while I'm talking.
All other features and functions of the phone work just fine. I've dropped it once, but the Prox/Light sensor issues started occurring before that.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Might be a hardware issue i have the same problem, i tried to fix it by installing the factory ROM. No luck. I'm gonna bring it back to rogers to see if i can get it fixed :\
Similar problem
My phone will go to blank screen as soon as I hit "Answer" or for outgoing whet I tap "Call" so I can't put on the speakerphone or hangup. All butons and functions are disabled. I have to remove the battery to reset the phone or wait for the caller to hang up. On calling "VoiceMail" it just goes on and on before hanging up so removing the battery works faster and restarting the computer.
I have tried to adjust the proximity indicator as I read on another forum but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I have to add that this seems intermittent and sometimes it works normal and sometimes not.
Maybe "dropping it" has something to do with it. One forum said customer service wanted him to do a hard reset which I assume is the only way to get rid of the Mango update or any apps installed that may be a contributing factor. If anyone has any ideas let us know.

Lost LED backlight for home/menu/back/search buttons

Running cm7 and having problems with the soft key LED backlight. Sometimes they are on, sometimes they are not. Sometimes when i turn on the phone they are on, after I unlock they turn off after a few seconds. Nothing I do can turn them back on after they turn off but they will turn back on randomly. Is this common? Is this a warranty issue?
Has anyone else had this issue?
I've had that problem on all AOSP roms. Though luckily CM7 has an option to fix it. I believe it's under CyanogenMod settings and backlight settings. I don't quite remember. I'll have to check and let you know exactly.
Go to CM settings and then to Display. Select automatic backlight, scroll down and check use custom. You're going to go into edit other levels and in the right column you'll see buttons. The default is 30 and if you change the value higher you'll increase the button backlight and they'll stop randomly coming on.

That worked perfectly! I never would have thought to even look there. Thanks a
Does it do this in complete darkness? A lot of roms (or maybe it's kernel settings, or both) use the light sensor to turn off the soft key lights when it's bright enough to see them but when you're in poor or no light, they stay on. It should save you battery and I actually like it.
Think the first rom I used was gingeritis and it had this feature and thought my soft key lights were burning out.
If you already know this or if it was happening in darkness, then ignore my post. Maybe some dust got in your sensor?

It was dark enough that I couldn't read the writing on the soft keys so of figured something was up but I figured it out. Thanks
