Hi Guys,
If there are any enthusiasts among you, Formula1.com just launched an application for us mobile freaks. It makes it very easy to follow stuff mobile wise and its free.
It is pretty annoying, being java and all but it does the job.
If interested, go to formula1.com and register.
Is there anyone willing to make it a win mo application so we can link it in menus and get rid of annoying java security popups?
Your Friend,
Catalin

Hello guys
I'm fairly new to WP7 and recently bought an Omnia 7.
One thing pisses me off though - not being able to buy apps outside a supported country or credit card.
My suggestion is therefore, wouldnt it be possible to develop something like cydia app store for (pardon) iPhone?
Im currently on my phone and waiting for a flight at the airport, so havnt searched around too much, so incase i've failed to spot a similar thread please direct me to it instead of giving me a "use search you mofo"
Thanks in advance guys. =)
WP7 is fairly new, new countries will be supported as it grows larger.
As for a Cydia like application, I'm sure it will come along some time, but I don't think there is one right now.
I am currently working on a desktop application to bring a Cydia-like market to WP7. My main aims are:
- Provide homebrew developers with a place to host their applications/profit from them
- Provide a simple all-in-one dekstop solution for users to download, update and install apps to their phone
- "Trial Mode" will not exist, rather developers can post two versions of the same application with different functionality
- Market will be free from Marketplace restrictions. This includes UI/Metro restrictions. It's up to the user to decide whether they want to use a non-metro application.
My main issue at the moment is just getting the infrastructure in place and making sure everything is secure. I've only really got the barebones together, so it will take some time to get the project finished off.
Anybody who has any suggestions, feel free to post them here or PM me them
Cheers Blade0rz
Im happy to this is already in development.
I will let you know if any ideas happen to pop up. Will be following your progression
Hi,
I currently am new to android and am starting to love it. I currently am a developer for the Apple App store and would like to transfer my Xcode over to android and start doing code in the android SDK. I have the Xcode and was wondering if anyone could convert it for me or send me to someone/somewhere that could help me convert the code for a small fee or for free.
The app is a simple navigation app that should be pretty simple to setup and initiate. I'm basically done with dumb apple stores and their rules that I can't make more apps because their tight wads. Anyways... any help would be great.
Thanks,
Brandon

Where does he say anything about Warez? He developed an App for the App Store and now he wants to convert it for Android use.
you got me on that one i completely overlooked that part lol my bad.
If you know how to develop in JAVA then you may have to write your code for your app again. It isn't easy to just "port" iPhone applications to Android.
if it were as easy as porting code from objective c to java then the market would be flooded with tons more iphone apps... you have to rewrite the app from a programming sense pretty much. there are tools with which you can write apps from scratch that will work on both platforms but you can't send xcode to android and expect anything.

I dont expect to convert it without any hard work. I basically am wanting to give the code to someone. Who maybe for a small fee. Can recreate the app for the android. I know it probably isn't going to be super cheap, but since the idea is already there. I was just wondering if anyone would be able to help me out on this issue. I just mainly want to have someone recreate my app, and then possibly do a small overview of how to make it function like my apple app in a sense.
Android Studio and XCode are completely different. You should rewrite the application if you are going native. You can use HTML tools such as Intel XDK, PhoneGap, Cordova for cross-platform apps but they don't have the power of native development.
Good morning
I am happy to be with you in this wonderful site :victory:

Mobile app making help
Hi ,
The tone of your post seems you are looking for easy and time efficient ways to create an mobile app. Well there are a lot of online mobile app platforms that can help you build an app relatively quickly compared to acquiring skills and learning all those languages for coding that would devour lot of your time. Here are some sites: Appypie , Thunkable , appbars, buildfire, app inventor and lots more (these are mostly drop and drag) .
And incase you are looking for some expert hands there are several companie that can build your app with some minimal fee.
here's a blog about the app making read on :kiwibox.com/arjunsingh9990/blog/entry/140394069
Hello guys. So I'm working on my first app and was looking for a way how to make some profit from it. Recently I found this article about mobile app monetization with SDK. Just wanted to ask you, has anyone tried any of there methods? Maybe you have some recommendations on how I could monetize my app? Thanks

Sup, I'm using Admob for almost half a year. I assume it's the most popular and reliable way to monetize your app. What I recently found was Globalhop sdk. Before I didn't know that you can combine two sdks but it seems that Globalhop can work along with Admob. And to say truly, I immediately noticed that my monthly income increased after I started using them both. So far had no complaints from the app users about slowness issues. Hope there won't be any in the future.
