Audio Booster - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hey guys!
I've been searching for a good Audio Booster / Media player for a while now.
The reason I'm doing this is because everytime I play a song in the music tab, I activate audio booster for the equalizer and get an amazingly nice sound, but after each song the audio booster needs to be turned on again.
So I've tried different Media players like Mortplayer, Slide2play and those but non seem to have a good equalizer inside.
So I was hoping if someone could point me at a good Media player or a solution to the need of turning on the Audio Booster at each song.
Thanks

u could try using a custom ROM, i'm using Thouch extreme ROM series by Smaberg and the Audio Booster deosnt go off at all.
Another way is instead of clicking "Done" when i have enabled the audio booster, u should just tap the X button to close it although ive tried it and deosnt really seem to work (before i used the custom ROM)
Another way is to do a registry edit
HKLM/Software/HTC/AudioManager_Eng/Config then under "suspend" change it from 1 to 0
Thirdly, u can try a .cab by smaberg 17/12 -09 Touch X Keep Audio Booster Running.cab
link > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=584415
well thats all i know how to fix it, i was kinda frustrated too but after using smaberg's Thouch extreme ROM the audio booster deosnt go off no matter what i do so thats my recommended opinion

Many thanks for your reply Qazz~!
I'll try out the registry edit and the .cab first, I don't want to flash to an entire custom rom, my HD2 isn't that old and I'm not even used to the stock Rom yet xD.
Thanks for your reply and I'll post if the registry edit works!

What your looking for is SRSWOW HD. Similar to Audio booster but runs all the time, search the threads, should come up easy enough.
Highly recommend it!

True but SRSWOW runs all the time, inc rintone, headphones, mediaplayer ect. first time i used it was actualy too loud for me
Few tweaks in the settings tho and get a much richer sound.

For me it doesn´t when the song changes, Audio Booster needs to be activated again.

Install HD2 Tweak:
http://www.montecristoff.com/hd2tweak.htm
There is a lot of great stuff, along with an option to constantly keep audio booster on!

HD2Tweak didn;t work, but Touch X Audio Booster tweak did it
SRS WOW HD, is an amazing feature aswell! I'm sticking with that now!
Thanks for all of your help guys !

Some questions considering cooked apps Duttys V4

I appreciate ur efforts and roms, thnx!
But i want 2 remove some apps like totalcommander, regedit and task manager. This because i have my own apps i prefer for these tasks. But i cant c them listen in the remove apps list? What next?
ps: how do i put the folders (just as in V3) back in 'programs'?
Thnx!
you cant remove apps that is cooked into a rom.
Ok i have a question also my sound is low is ther a cab to increase volume? or a radio or somthing?
Go to the v4 thread and read/search the pages about tweaking registry to increase ring volume, someone was doing it.

I also used HTC Audio booster and HTC Equalizer v 1.02 and I put the SRS wow on my phone and after doing this I had to turn down my ringer as it was louder than before I installed these (at least to my ears and this could have been placebo perhaps..) I have yet to do the registry tweaks as above... These apps can be found on Dutty's excellent cab files on his ftp whatsit...
To put the folders back in to 'programs' go to
settings>menus and tick off the folders there.

Tweak - change function of wired headset button

Ok here is a little cab that I've built that will allow you to change what program is launched on a long press on the wired headset.
I've been able to make this thanks to busterleguster.
After installation your button will launch windows media player but you will now be able to choose !
To change this go in your favorite registry editing program and
change the "path" value in HKLM/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand and enter the location of the program you want.
I've been looking for such a tweak a long time, I guess a few other people too. Enjoy
Ahh, much better! Nice and clean
why so much unnecessary efforts and headache when you have AE Button Plus 2.6, ha!
AEBplus 2.6, tried that, didn't register the button when pressed. Which setting did you use, oh clever one ?
Would it be possible to use that button to go to the next track or toggle play/pause of Windows Media player?
because Aebutton is not free ?
SypherNL : sure if a shortcut exists it should be possible. I don't know one though but I have never searched for this.
Good idea SypherNL! It would be really nice to be able to go to the next track with just a click on the headset button. Preferably not with WMP because it shortens the battery life to much.
Can anyone create such a shortcut?
Thanks,
Daniel
Well, you can do that on your own, if you knew the shortcut for the next button (and it's highly unlikely that there is one). Just change the registry key to that shortcut!
Great!
Thanks! This is great! My bluetrek st1 headphones broke this week and I had to start using the wired headphones again. The wire is annoying and there's no A2DP controls, but at least I can control my phone with this button tweak and msvc now.
PS I tried AEBplus and I couldn't get it to work. This was much quicker, easier, free and it works! Thanks again!
Tried creating a shorcut for going to next track in Audio Manager:
27#\Windows\AudioManager.exe "next"
27#\Windows\AudioManager.exe "%next%"
27#\Windows\AudioManager.exe ,"next"
27#\Windows\AudioManager.exe "Next"
27#\Windows\AudioManager.exe "Forward"
etc.
No Use. Any suggestions ?
HI Dr. Martin Gonzo and thanks for your .cab.
I've tryed it on 1.37 FR/orange rom and it works very well.
I've changed "path" value in HKLM/Software/OEM/VoiceCommand to voicecommand.exe (witch doesn't exists before install your utility) and now i can control my diamond with voicecommand using headset button.
I have to say that this solution works with the rc e100 wired while holding the hang off button.
You should send your work to rom cooker as aztor or another to include it in their rom to assign headset button action.
Hello, I tried the program on my new Omnia, but it doesn't work. It allways open the telephone and it is no function when I press the button long. Does it not work on Omnia, or do I something wrong?
Perfect!
This works on my HD too! i was looking for this functionality for ages! this thread should be exposed more! as the whole world is searching for a solution! I'm going to create a link to this thread in the main forum!
Thanks a alot!

Sliding Keyboard Sounds

Howdy gang,
I'm intersted in changing the sliding keyboard sound to something other than a default sound. Where is the file location to put custom mp3s? I was assuming its in the windows folder, but I cant seem to locate it.
Am I to assume the ringtone folder is also in the same location?
Thanks!
I would also be interested in this, and does anyone know where to get the Transformers sliding sounds like the ones used in some of the Kaiser ROMs.
Thanks in advance

OK, I imported the .reg file with resco and still nothing on my Sprint TP. Belive me, I had the Mogul and I know how to add and change the sounds, but with the TP, I don't have any option for sliding keyboard sounds. The device makes no sounds and there is no setting the enables or disables sounds -and there certainly isn't a place to select what sounds you want played. Is there a .cab rather than a reg change? Thank you.

My setting is under settings/sliding keyboard sound/option 1-4
Even if you install the .cab, you still have to turn the sound on in that setting page before you will hear the .cab take effect.

Making the Fuze run faster/smoother...WITHOUT a custom ROM?

So i purchased my Fuze on Monday, and its my first WM device.
Overall its a great device and i like it more than my iPhone.
Ive been recently trying to customize it and ive downloaded nice TF3D themes, and done some registry editting to change the sliding sound.
What i want to know is if there is another way to make the Fuze run and perform alot faster than how it runs out of the Box.
I did some of the performance TWEAKS that i found on a Touch Pro thread. and that worked. But is their anything else that you guys would recommend? Maybe deleting unused programs? or idk.
I dont really like, that there is some Lag when switching thru the tabs in TF3d, and the long loading times for opening programs.
Mind you, that i dont want to go through the effort of installing a new ROM. Mainly because of the fact that i cant seem to find a perfectly good, tutorial on how to do this.
Thanks

You pretty much answered your own question. The registry and adv config tweaks (make sure to increase file sys cache too) are your best hope, IMO.
But if you want smooth performance all the time, flashing is your only option. With NATF's rom, TF3D is only jerky now on initial startup. After 2min, it's smooth, even if I have mp3s playing in media player running in the background.
I only wish 640x480 video playback was faster...

what problem do you have?
does it install ok?
I couldn't get it to work. I lost my sound after installing. I think I tried the solution from another XDA forum, but I can't find it now. There are registry tweaks to go with it, but as I say, I couldn't get it to work. I have a stock rom 6.1 version. Can you give us a clue Rumpeforeskin how you got it to work please? It does produce excellent sound IF you can get it to work, but there is usually some kind of problem to go with it.
I installed it before on my Diamond (1) and it didn't work in the touch flo music player, but worked in others... Very weird....
maybe there are different versions of 1.21 going around. i can upload the version i use. which worked fine after installation and did not require any registry edits.
i should be back at my home pc this evening and can upload it then
I have the files on my sd card
one file installs wow and the control panel needs to be unzipped and copied to your windows folder.
Hi Rumpleforeskin,
That's excellent thanks - works brilliantly on my TD2! Thanks, thanks and thanks again!

I used to have this on my Diamond 1 and it was a huge improvement. To be honest, the Diamond 2 has a much improved sound quality than the Diamond 1 to start with. However, this programme does improve it still further. I think it also gives more options to get the sound quality YOU want, instead of being limited by the Audio Booster (glorified graphic equaliser). If you don't like it you can always either uninstall it or even turn it off!
Whilst it has worked perfectly for me, I would recommend you back-up your stuff first as this programme can be problematic in my experience if your rom doesn't suit.
srs wow greatly improves sound on small outputs (such as headphones) it makes the sound alot fuller.
Its hard to explain, but it adds a nice depth to the sound. plus it has a pretty good technique for boosting bass (or at least making it sound like there is more bass).
It does have 2 drawbacks though, firstly it takes quite a bit of fidling with the mysterious named settings to get the sound just right. Secondly no matter what combination of settings it always seems that you cannot boost the sound in the middle of the spectrum, meaning sometimes vocal parts of a track do not sound quite as strong as they could. But if you use core player you can fix this with the equilizer
