hii
i have upgraded my i-mate pocket pc phone edition ( old model without keyboard ) which is i believe similer to Q2020 ??
anyway upgrade is completed succussfully thank god but when i go to memory staus it is showing the following :
Storage Total 30 mb Program Total 56 mb
i wonder if this correct or i have used the wrong file for upgrade

you must install the 64 version of Ramdisk, it will open the other memory block.
Remember, for the XDA2_WM2k5_1.70a.64.WWE you need that. that's what I did.

Could you please give me the RAMdisk file, was it the toflock file or buzz file? How about the procedures...thanks

Sprite Backup on new rom
Hey, I love sprite backup and was bitterly dissapointed to find that it wouldn't run on the official WM 5.0 rom. I have since had to go back to my Xda 2. I upgraded the rom to find that sprite doesn't work again (no suprise). I download the upgrade version built for WM 2005 but that doesn't seem to work on this rom... any suggestions???
Ps. Apart from that i'm loving the Rom

you have to install Sandisk Wi-Fi driver separately. I used the SDIO_WLAN_Sagem.exe driver and it works fine with 1.70a.96WWE ROM. This driver has no custom wireless utility, but wm2005 on works fine for me.

The Ramdisk is not working for me. I cannot install programs to my device as the memory is so low and i cannot unlock it! Any suggestions

I personally haven't found the 1.65 to 1.7x to be all that much cop - unstable and a lot of stuff not working
I'm still happiest with Buzz's 1.60c64wwe

I'd love to download Buzz's rom, but the links i find are either dead or have closed. Can you point me in the right direction.

SDIO_WLAN_Sagem.exe driver do works now but it seems my SD WIFI card is warm after 10 mins of used. Do you have the same problem? Anyway the driver is for WM5 Smartphone..
Tested with I-TECH35 Bluetooth Stereo headphone... works very well without any pause at all !!!

Received MMS but cannot see the attachment picture
Still operating very smoothly.
My current problem :
- Unable to sent my MMS eventhough all setting are being set correctly.
* Manage to sent MMS. Reconfigure the MMS setting manually
- Camera still have the rotation problem
* Use the Picture & Video as camera function. Map it the Camera button
- Set hardware button to rotate the screen.
* Still not resolved

Download Vista Rom, unzip it, connect your mobile to your pc (via ActiveSync), you will find in unziped Vista Rom folder a file named ROMUpdateUtility, open it and follow the steps.Is very simple

I'm using this ROM. The joystick is better with this ROM as it was not with some others. Font is also pretty for displaying Chinese character.

No wifi
I liked this Rom until I discovered that there is no wifi control! Is it just me or is this really missing? Back to the I-Mate rom for my SP5.

What is the camera like on this rom?
Is it the same as the iphone rom?

Try this to show the WIFI on the Comm Manager...
Use a Registry Editor
HKLM - Software - HTC - CommManager
If there are 6 keys present..
Add a key named 7
Under the 7 key
Create a string named - Default
Value Data is - WLAN
Go to HKLM - Software - HTC - SupportedFunctions - just add 1 to current Value Data..if it's 6 then make it 7.
Wait for half a minute then reboot

You guys have to put NetCompactFrameWork into Storage Card/Program Files/NETcompactFramework/. It is provided by the Cooker in the original ROM as a separate bundle.　

Oh sorry I don't know if the guy provided NTFC bundle in the package.

I have the Cingular 2125.
Is it possible to copy the taskmanager app from the faraday rom to this rom, 'cause I cant find the task manager.
After you load a few apps things start running very slow. Have to soft reset to clear the memory.

Flashing instructions are as follows:
NOTE: This will work on vista providing you have followed the Vista RUU guide HERE or HERE
If you are flashing from WM5 to WM6, you MUST download WM6GSMUPDATE.zip and flash that FIRST to avoid GPRS issues
For those getting the "Not Allow Operation" error in TeraTermPro, or, even worse, getting stuck in bootloader after flashing. You MUST superCID your device using the SPV-Sevices client! This step is NOT optional and could result in your phone becoming a brick if anything goes wrong
1. Make sure you device is SuperCID, you can check using the SPV Services client, if on reading the CID it displays 3131313131313131 in a long string of numbers then it IS CID unlocked, if not, the click the CID = 11111111 button and reset your device
2. Download the ROM linked in the first post
3. Download the attached TeraTermPro.zip
4. Disable USB connections in ActiveSync (right click the icon in the systray, then select connection settings and untick the USB connections box), turn off your device, hold camera ad plug the device into the USB port to enter bootloader mode.
5. Extract TeraTermPro.zip and run ttermpro.exe, then select Serial and then USB in the drop down box. Then type:

11. Install all the extra stuff you want from the extras file

[ROM][WWE] HTC Touch Official 6.1 ROM - ALMOST [Tabish ROM v3.3.6.1]

My Latest Official Flavour Rom
Tabish Rom v3.3.6.1 is here. The OS core is based on an extract and port from latest official HTC release (Opal ROM) which is closest to the HTC Touch sys folder. Base ROM remains 2.20.456.1B for OEM part which is the latest HTC rom for Elfs. This ensures 0 bugs, fast stable Rom which is VERY much what an official HTC Touch WM6.1 Rom would have looked like had they released one for us. Ofcourse mine would still have the advantage of being BIG STORAGE
Features/Updates from Tabish v2.x to v3.3.6.1 Rom
1. Wm6.1 (19971 Base from OPAL)
2. Esmertec JBed updated to 20080610.2.1
3. Default Pagepool to be Elf and Elfin friendly (though dsixda's EXCELLENT PP changer attached)
4. Task Manager updated to 2.1
5. HTC Random Access for contacts added.
Changes included from 3.3.6.1
6. .NETCF 3.5 (upgraded from 2.0) (Some people swear speed improvement, plus compatibility with new programs like Adavanced Config 3.x)
7. Bluetooth Activesync problem fixed
8. MSN connection fixed
9. Full Cities list (or atleast I think this is most complete list available)
I have also now included RUU files with download for people who are new to this.
PAGEPOOL and Memory
Rom is released with default 8mb PP setting but dsixda's excellent universal PP Changer is attached. I would like to give a disclaimer at this point that though the PP Changer works well with the ROM but I am NOT responsible for any damage caused by using the PP changer or my ROM for that matter.
Rom works very fast and very stable with 4mb PP with Elfs. Memory after first boot is as follows (for Elf with the default 8mb PP)

In Use: 25.44mb
Free: 22.21mb
But program memory quickly drops to

after Cube is loaded in memory.
If you want more, you should shift to 4mb Pagepool but memory management for this build is very good and I have included the task manager screenshot below that shows 91% memory used while Audio manager, JBed, IE, SMS, connection manager and File explorer were open. For the record I was listening to a song, connected over wifi, downloading Opera Mini 4.1 on PIE and running Opera 4.1 on Jbed which was browsing facebook. I had the threaded SMS open and so was connection manager and file explorer (and ofcourse the screen capture program was in memory) AND cube was loaded n memory and I still had about 4mb free AND all this with the 8mb PP so you can imagine how it would be with 4mb PP.
Recommendations and Misc.
I strongly recommend installing the excellent IPL 2.27 and USPL 2.28 by htctouchp with this ROM. Its also recommended that you softboot and restart the phone once after first install before using it full time (works best after 1 normal restart)
Also I have attached a cab file for those who want to disable thread sms feature for whatever reasons.

Before you download and install the Rom think that if HTC offered an Official Wm6.1 upgrage for $5 for our HTC Elf/Elfins would you get it? What about $1? If yes, consider making a contribution for my work after you have tested and used the ROM because this is as close to an HTC Official Wm6.1 Rom as anyone could hope to get for our Elf/Elfins (and countless hours went into this)

What kind of memory leak are you talking about? How long until you run out of memory?
When I reset it in bootloader mode it says SPL 1.11.0000 - Am I concerned with this possible leak?
I know that memory tends to diminish in time, but since I installed the auto-hibernate tool, it's better (even though it still runs down).

Zeflash if you have 1.11 SPL then you are probably using the 1.11.707 version rom which does not include the new keypad etc or one of the cooked roms.
Memory runs down on all Pocket PCs but with the new 2.20 series there was a leak where the memory would disappear for no reason till it got to low memory warning in matter of seconds specially after opening IE.
This ROM is intended for people who want the original ROM feeling, speed and stability with the new keypad included and want additional storage over the measly 25 mb offered by original Roms and are sick of the memory problems.

Just a note, I believe it's quite anormal to provide a SPL in a cooked ROM. Usually it's only the system segment, sometimes the radio is included. Anyway. I'm fine with my SPL.

The older SPL is the actual fix for the 2.20 Roms and thats why its included with my original Rom and seperately for those who dont want to reflash the whole OS but want to get rid of the memory problem can just flash the SPL part that I have uploaded

I am currently using it with a 6mb Pagepool using the attached Activesync PP change (was originally at 8mb) and so currently I have
Storage:
Total: 49.18 mb
In Use: 5.12 mb (after installing a few programs. was more after immediate flash)
Free: 44.13mb
Program:
Total: 49.72 mb
In Use: 27.43 mb
Free: 22.29 mb
After leaving it on for DAYS it runs down to 19.81 mb but I can easily launch Audio manager playing mp3s over bluetooth stereo, Wifi connected running IE and Opera mini 4.1 in Cloudyfa's Esmertec JBed and still have a 1-2 megs ram free...

good work i get the same RAM config using the old 1.17.. ROM the touch Diamond keyboard. But will try your ROM have been long waiting for a good original ROM.

Cloudyfa is one of the most talented cooks EVER so of course his work is VERY good. This rom is more for people who like original roms. This is an original rom just with ext.rom removed for big storage and patched spl to fix memory leak experienced on Elf with the 2.20.xxx Elf/Elfin Roms

I prefer 6mb PP cuz I think it works faster than 4mb PP for things like touch scrolling through programs etc. And I like HTC keypad better than the diamond keyboard. But whatver you prefer, I am just glad you are using my ROM

Yeah original roms ROCK in terms of speed and stability. This SPL fix can also be used with the Australian Official HTC 2.20.710.2B ROM or any other 2.20.xxx Elf/Elfin ROM for that matter but if you get sick of running out of STORAGE memory as well, flash my full rom which is exactly like the original rom with just 1 difference that it will have 40+ mb free and if you miss the programs in ext.rom then ZIP is attached with ext.rom included cabs

This SPL fix can also be used with the Australian Official HTC 2.20.710.2B ROM or any other 2.20.xxx Elf/Elfin ROM for that matter but if you get sick of running out of STORAGE memory as well, flash my full rom which is exactly like the original rom with just 1 difference that it will have 40+ mb free and if you miss the programs in ext.rom then ZIP is attached with ext.rom included cabs

i have flasht it back to bleu v 5.0 the update did not working at my divice memory leak stil a isue even worse

I'm interested! I'm running Shadow 2.1 now which is fine but I'm looking to try another rom so I guess I'll try this one.

Unlocked Exteneded ROM, small fixes, larger RAM and other..

but in your wwe version :-
-starts slow (may be)
-wifi is not working
i mean that when i tap from comm manager or even from setting section it does not starts !!!
any patch for it ? or solution?

I had the same problem here with WWE : wifi was not working. (solved see below)
I made it working only one time after a hard reset...
Then I reflashed radio with 2.61 :

now wifi seems ok again, after reboot and shutdown.
I cross fingers !!!
And boot time is incredibly fast ...

I repeat, recommended is 2.61 radio and 2.26 SPL

After testing final versions, i think: both versions aren't similar. So i release soon fixed versions.
These differences are very small, but it's very imporant for me. Old versions are stay good.

I use 2.69.11 radio and have never had trouble with WIFI or anything else on your ROMs. I want to keep mentioning CRACING's ROM in my signature because it is the best Wizard 6.5 ROM so far, but the fact is that I use your H3r5 final ROM on both of my phones now.
When I get bored I change the today screen.
HTC Home is simple, fast, reliable.
SPB Mobile Shell is more like Android, and I like it sometimes.
Manila2D 2 build 1919 (with weather updates on the flip clock like HTC Sense) is beautiful and actually runs well with this ROM.
But I get bored, as I said, and keep switching between them.

n2rjt, in my opinion, the best is Manila2D v2 (looks nice, but runs slowly) and HomeScreen++ UI (very customizable interface, very light, o/c and other..)
Do you can post link to (for?) working Manila with weather on Home Tab?

I used a folder that I had downloaded in October 2009. I had named the folder "M2D wm6.5". Looking through my old posts, it looks like I got it from here, following a response to my question which was here.
With your ROM, I have just installed the "first" and "second" folders, and the geolocation weather worked beautifully, both from WIFI and cell towers. I installed all of these to internal memory. I think that earlier ROMs I had tried such as the MSD ROM lacked sufficient internal memory to install all of these.
The weather on the home tab worked without requiring a workaround. I was surprised but happy.

Hi, I just flashed your rom and the first time wifi worked but after that I can't make it work again. Wifi just won't start from communication manager. I have radio 2.61.11, I reflashed the same radio and it still doesn't work. I have a G4 wizard if that counts. How can I fix this?

Uploaded Clean ROMs based on H3r5, for users who don't like added programs

Flashed your HTC_Wizard_6.1_21042_WWE_Clean_by_Ham3r.zip today. works great, fast enough on boot, wifi also works. the only thing is that the comm manager placed in both programs and Settings->connections.
oh, and how use voice dial in here? cant find the option...

Comm Manager is in connections and in programs. It's normal and good (you can set commmgr to any button). In pure WM commmgr is just in settings.
VoiceDial is deleted, there just standard WM apps (+ MMS, Java, Network Wizard and smartskeys). You can install whatever you like (VoiceDial or VoiceCommander). Of course, UC is included.
btw. i fixed my SD slot in Wizard!
