I use Homescreen++ for the batterystatus and the taskmanager in the top of the screen. Does anybody know a better program? I live near the border with Germany and I use this program also to see on which network i am. So im looking for a replacement of hs++ with following benefits:
- See batterylife (in %) (not near clock but in Today screen)
- See provider
- taskmanager
Ofcourse it must work with WM6.5. Now I'm facing problems with this older program (after getting a telephonecall, the phone reboots sometime)

I use Second Today and it works great.
Just configure your left softkey to open.
I also use Second Today and it's great, but it's not on your homescreen if you use TouchFlo unless you disable TouchFlo. If you go down this route, then you could supplement Second Today with Elecont Launcher which will give you your battery, or use Ariel Battery on your taskbar. TouchFlo and Ariel Battery will give you the batterylife and provider and taskmanager...

I read a little and apparently it is not possible ,at the moment, to incorporate "Phone Alarm" into TouchFlo 3D.
Well this pisses me of because I spent over $1000.00 on that new device and I can't even configure it the way I want and use the apps or "Tools" I like and need the way I want it....
So the goal of this Thread is to see if there are others in the same situation and maybe team up to try to find someone that has the Resources, Knowledge and the Time to make this request possible...
I've been reading on this site for almost two years and became a member (not too active) close to a year now and can honestly say that there is some super brilliant minds in here, not all, but some, that could probably write a "Patch" or even Rewrite this TouchFlo3D SW that would allow it to be personalized and more user friendly.
There is four things that I would like to get in this new TF3D
1- Ability to have TF3D and PA (Phone Alarm) to run simultaneously (without the need of a 3rd party sw)
2- Have the "Top Bar" or "Bottom Bar" to display the actual PA "Profile"
3- Have a large PA "Scroller" field (somewhere)
4- Link the "little WM Alarm Clock" to PA's Alarm instead.
If there are some others in the same situation, please let it be known...
I am really please with using SecondToday making the left softkey open SecondToday from the Home Page of Touchflo 3D.I know you said no third party software but it is really nice to have the "best" of both worlds in using ToucFlo as it was designed and having a whole new Today screen for PhoneAlarm. With the power of our device there is absolutely no lag when switching between SecondToday today screen and Touchflo "today" screen.
this really works and I'm actually glad to have touchflo and phonealarmon different pages
ps I have a nice vga skin for PA and TodayAgenda on my secondtoday today screen

What skin do you use for PhoneAlarm ?
I didn't find a nice one yet so I now use PhoneWeaver with SecondToday instead of PhoneAlarm but I want to use PhoneAlarm again.
I've used PhoneAlarm on my TytnII for almost a year and is way better than PhoneWeaver.
Hi,
I have just the otherday managed to upgrade my HTC Touch to an actual official WM6.1 OS supplied by HTC (belive it or not!). Since I bought the phone in Bangkok I have had to wait for the relese of the HTC Thailand upgrade.
It included the ThouchFLO 2d (which I recon sux....can't change a thing about it), but I really liked the big clock in wm6.0. Is there a way to download a file somewhere to get the clock (a clock) to show up at the "settings/today/items"?
I have had a look at the Throttle launcher, M2D but can't really get any of them to work properly....anyone have any ideas or suggestions?
/F
my device:
HTC Touch P3452 ELF0100, WM6.1 CE OS 5.2.19972 (build 19972.1.2.7)
ROM 3.07.707.02 WWE, 10/25/08
Radio 03.34.90
Not sure what you mean about big clock but do a search for HTC Home plug-in (I think the latest cab is version 2.1) and see if that is what you are after. Otherwise, have you tried the Manila 2D customizer tool (M2DC)? I don't know if it works on shipped roms TF2D but it might let you change certain aspects of TF2D.
Good luck
Hi,
Yes sorry for being a bit unclear....what I ment was ofcourse the digital clock display at the HTC Default Home screen. I have tried the HTC Home plug-in but it, as for so many others (feedback) freezes and forces me to hard reset.
The problem occurs when I turn off the Touchflo 2D in favour of other themes, I get no option to display a clock on the today screen (under items to display). Hence downloaded themes comes out as plain as can be without anything but a background, start and bottom bar.
I would like to have a digital clock display as for the previous HTC Default Home screen....or similar clock at least.
I read somewhere that you could display/hide the clock by changing registry values under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CHome\CClock, Disabled to 0, as per this website. I have chacked in that location but found no such registry value named cclock.
Staring to think I might be actually a bit stupid for missing something very simple.....you never know until someone tells you!
I hope I made myself a bit more clear...

Well it sounds like you know what you are doing so I don't want to sound too "teachy". But what you are doing in the Item screen is turning off a Today plug-in (TF2D). AFAIK, everything that would appear on the Today screen is displayed as a plug-in. Your rom opted to show the TF2D plug-in. This plug-in overrides all others in the item screen so in order to use another plug-in, you must uncheck the TF2D plug-in. So with no plug-ins selected, you will have a blank Today screen.
There are several plug-ins you can install as alternatives to TF2D such as HTC Home, RLToday, etc. Just query Today plug-ins. Once installed you can initialise them from the Items screen. It is a little worrying that HTC Home crashes on your device. You might try a soft reset (small hole, poke with stylus) or uninstall it and reinstall it. It might be that you've run out of Program memory (Settings-->System--Memory). A soft reset will free it up again. I hope some of this is helpful.
Hi guys , I have the Vox with WM6.1 CLEAN v1.4 by fireburned on it.
I have activated channels and configured channel 50 ( display cell info.) . I am on Voda UK, so they send out your local dialling code on to this channel.
When i load most themes (e.g Wireless home theme, windows home screen) the cell info is there, and updated as I would want.
I have recently installed Fring, and it's on that theme homescreen too. but I cannot get it to work on any sliding panel screen, I have even tried copy and paste the relevent lines from a working homescreen .xml into a sliding panel one, but to no avail.
Does anybody know a plug-in that will display cell info on a sliding panel homescreen.
Many Thanks,
Tony.

Sorry to bump, I assume this is not possible?
You would have to write a plugin. Look in the Smartphone General Subforum, there is a guy who wrote a tasks plugin, maybe he can help you!
Hi,
You can see here how an homescreen is written with different plugins :

For your question, see BigCityLifeSkin3 and GrassSkin3 with SmartMonitor plugin.
Bye.
Hi all,
Today I've upgrade my Asus P552 from WM6.1 to WM6.5.
first, my process manager ( Magic Button 2.1) is not compatible with WM 6.5
wich one do you suggest? I don't need a lot of features, but he must be always present in the title bar to simply quit an application, and he must be light.
Then, a rss reader call newstation is include in WM 6.5; it works with rss feeds, but it freeze when I try to add an atom feed, is there anything I can do to fix it?
Thanks.
ps: excuse my bad english, I'm not a native speaker.
I'm using Magic Button 2.1 on my Fuze with a 6.5 rom (23016). It works fine. You need to set the start menu and cprog to 'stay alive' and 'not show when active,' but otherwise, it works fine for me. Well, occasionally it will kill the start menu, particularly if I hit the x button when in the Settings panel. I haven't figured out how to re-start the menu without resettings, but I can use voice command to start anything if needed.
Are you sure it won't work on your phone? I really like it. If not, I'd recommend DotFred's Task Manager. If so, I'd still recommend using DF's TM-it's a great app.
Hi, thanks for reply.
In fact, it work, but as you can see, I've got display issues when I use it (look at the title bar and the button):
do you encounter the same problem? I'll try the others programs you suggest.
Yeah, the button obscures the battery meter and a little bit of the start menu 'S' shows. My advice? Don't look @ the battery meter. It's too good of an app to junk because of the overlay.
There is not the well known htc task manager..! ( at least in my shipped rom!)
This is very annoying..Plus, there is not the option to close the apps by just taping the x/ok button !!
The other bad thing is when the screen is dark the dots of the screen are visible..
Is there any way to get the task manager in hd2 via cab or something???
(i also didnt have owner info, got it back via reg..)
Have a look at this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=580860
I got my HD2 today and while I also miss the task manager J can't for the life of me under any lighting conditions see any grid on my screen, it is perfect! Do those with grids have pre-production models?
