It's in public beta. Those are basically pre-orders, with the ability to play the unfinished game.

During the alpha it was 50% off at 9.99 but was completely free at the same (only style of play was multiplayer and casual)
When the game bumped status to beta it was 25% at 14.99 and still was able to play for free but they took out the multiplayer unless you actually bought the game. Also they added a survival aspect to it, during the night creatures come out and attack you.

Well, this was posted here on 2/23...the same day Engadget posted about it. Just because you saw the post a week later doesn't mean that's when it was originally posted.
This is one good app list.
This is a good game . read some preview and like it alot
So is there a beta out for android or no?

There's not an official Android beta yet. However there is minedroid, its a simple experiment that shows the possible application of minecraft on a touch screen enviroment. It creates a file hierarchy on your phone similar to the one on your computer (assuming you play minecraft and have the files for it) all you have to do is copy your. World1 folder and its contents to the appropriate location and then you can play your own maps

In October the minecraft app will be available for everyone.

This app cam preloaded on my kindle fire and ever since i have been hooked on it. Its definitely the best news/blog reader app out there, and is probably one of my most used apps. I tried flipboard but i was so used to pulse that flipboard just wasnt up to par.

What's the best beat making app?

I'm a producer as a hobby and I have tried many beat making apps but have yet to find one I like. Some are good but can't record and others just aren't so great. What your opinion/suggestion?

Electrum Drum
Kinda off topic, but I've been using something for a long time. It's not an app on android, or any phone. it's actually for psp (PlayStation portable). It's called beaterator. It's by far the best portable beat making app.
But on android, there's not much, I used this one that's called spc. Idk how much it is on play store, I got free as Amazon app of the day. It's pretty cool but not much to do on it. It's basically a bunch of loops you put together.
Thank you all for your suggestions, I have the ppsspp emu so maybe I can get beaterator to work.

Interested in this as well
Not a true "beat making" app, but I use Caustic. It is a full featured synth app with decent beatbox capabilities. Paid version is 7 bucks, but for me it was worth it.
