Google Buzz, that is....
Just curious if anyone else is using it.
yes, and tweet and facebook and myspace and linken and latitude. Social network whore!
but I just update Twitter
Twitter updates Buzz, facebook, myspace and linken.
My aim updates my twitter then [see above]
buzz is cool, its getting to be stupid updates like fb and tweet though, i used it once in a while on the road
I refuse to join twitter, but i think if i had some people to follow i would give buzz a shot. I like that i can link my Flickr to it, as I'm an amateur photog.
I have been playing around with buzz.... don't care for it too much. Needs a lot of work in my opinion.
Eh, not enough people on it. The people i want to follow all use twitter not buzz
i prefer twitter, i dont like the buzz name haha =p besides it just dont feel like having another social thing like twitter.

HTC Peep only seems to pck up API replies (where your @username appears at the beginning of the tweet) and completely misses mentions (where your username is anywhere else in the tweet)
I end up havin to supplement Peep with the mobile twitter site and twext.me
crap... I just switched to a ROM with sense, so I was back to using peep... Looks like I'm going back to twidroid again.....
Try Twiteur, I dropped Twidroid Pro for it.
So I am a pretty big facebook buy, i dealt with the crappy official Facebook app but now im REALLY sick of it. The Facebook Touch app is slightly better but the developers that made this app really need to wake up, even look at the iPhones facebook app. Why make the app come with the phone and get people to use it but make it a crappy app. Like almost everything redirecting to the web. Maybe even the people that made the XDA app can make a facebook app that relates to the iPhones. Im sure developers on this site could do a hell of alot better. I would even pay for it.
What do you guys think?
I would be willing to pay $10 for an Android Facebook app that matched the functionality of the iPhone Facebook app.
+1million.
I have no clue who the facebook developer team for the official app is but someone should find out and send them an email lol
Trouble is Facebook themselves made the iPhone app, hence why it is so good. I find Bloo is the best we have so far and with chat coming in the next version and a widget soon, it's already better than the 'official' android offering
Wait so the Official facebook app (the one that came on the phone) isn't made by facebook themselves?
however, i like the offical facebook app more, but it shows a photo in mobile facebook instead of showing in it's own apps ... v. sad
Yeah thats what i mean, and on the touch facebook site it doesnm't show picture comments for some reason too. This crap needs to be fixed lol
This is my first post here. I've read and learned lots from all of you, now I have a question that I can't find an answer to our figure out on my own.
I've searched and searched and tried pidgin, jabber, etc. and can not figure out how to populate my gtalk with facebook chat. Can anyone help me do this? I'd really like to use something like Facebook connect to add them, similar to what aim uses. I have an Incredible.

Check out Meebo. It connects a bunch of different messengers like Facebook, Talk, Yahoo, MSN, AIM, Windows Live, etc. Really, I haven't heard of any popular messengers that it doesn't work with...

I really want to use Gtalk since it is already integrated into Android. I currently use ebuddy for chat but it's a battery hog. Gtalk doesn't seem to eat as much battery. I know Facebook and Google are in a huge pissing match over $$$$ and there is NO WAY Facebook would ever open their doors and let Google in, but I thought there might be a work around that I could use to get it done myself. I'm just not that smart.
eBuddy (free app Market) - MSN, Yahoo chat, AIM, Gtalk, FaceBook, ICQ, MySpace
Works like a charm
yeah or just use a jabber transport --> but be carefull, it WILL mess with ur contacts
please let me know if you find anything. i have tried just about every IM client out there and the battery problem is almost ridiculous. both my g1 and my vibrant drain 10% per hour on idle if i am connected to an aim client, whereas it drains 1% every 2-3 hours when i kill the aim client with ATK.
I just followed http://technobuz.com/2011/05/add-facebook-chat-to-google-chat/ and it's working like a champ. It didn't mess up any of my contacts either, which is a good thing, because I keep them clean and neat as can be.
Only flaw is some facebook profiles show up as random numbers while others actually show their names. I just sent them a quick "hi" then looked on facebook messages to see who they were, and changed the name in Google Talk.
I Think the idea of timescape is quite fantastic, having everything on one look. I use it for Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Rss feeds and i love that it actually opens each dedicated app if you click on the feeds BUT I find the appearance of the Program really annoying, you can hardly read 20letters in overview mode... so I wanted to ask whether there is a usable alternative to this. I tried out tweetdeck, but no RSS (and no Gmail) support scared me away... I also couldnt figure out whether there are themes for timescape that could help me.
Hey guys, I recently came up with an idea for a new app I will call "Socialize" and I wanted some feedback on it. I am currently working on it and will have a preview of my progress up within a few weeks. It won't have that many features, as my first priority is Twitter support, and the first preview will probably only have the ability to login and post a tweet.
What is Socialize?
Socialize is a new way to manage all your social 'stuff' from one place. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Google+ will be the first supported networks. Chat support will probably be added in later.
Isn't there already and app that does the same thing/has the same name?
No. I spent about an hour a week ago searching for such an app and didn't find one. There is also no app with the name "Socialize."
So yeah guys, leave your thoughts below, if you have any recommendations, leave a reply! No stealing my idea either, I have a copyright.

I thought google+ was only supported through the offical app. And how did you copyright the idea of a social media all-in-one app?
sounds cool! i'd use it if the design follows the ics design standard
dont really like the official facebook app

Well of course
I like the idea, but it isn't the first. Socialscope does the same thing for Instagarm, Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook and Foursquare. Hootsuite does it for Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Foursquare.

I'll have to see if I can think of any features that are unique then.
