Dear ppl.i updated my xda 2.i have certain questions and problems plz plz pm me wiwth solutions and or ur im address so i can correspond with ulll.
1) What is ram disk. when we store something in ram disk and soft reset why is the data lost?
2) Program & Processor mem is on ly 14.54 mb wat can u do with that ? i can install more thatn 3 apps ?
3) Where is the \Storage folder gone wich was present in wm 2k3 se?
4) Where do we install progs so that it does not get erased on soft reset?
5) When i explore my ppc device from my computer>windows mobile device>
there is no windows folder that i had in the 2k3 se version >
6) how do i go back to wm2k3?
7) Please pm me with solutions or post em in the forum only
8) i also wanted to know that when a program is installed where is it installed
i .e which directory is it install in ? and once its installed why doesnt the icon come in the programs window?

make hard reset then connent your mobile to pc
and make syanc
explor your ppc
you will find
etented_rom (folder)
copy to pc
and put it to my page
I don't understand. There's nothing useful in extended_rom except carrier customization.

A lot has been talked about this and after a debate and debacle, its conformed that WM 5.0 for Magician is not difficult, but very diffcult!

My cingular 8125 is lagging horribly..And when i go to the clear storage utility i enter 1234 and click yes and ntohing happens..I tried to reflash the rom but windows vista says the rom update uttility stopped working..and i cant do the voice comm + comm key because my green talk button doesnt work
look around... someone had made a vista flash utility. Standard one will not work. I usually flash on my laptop that is xp since my desktop is vista.

is there a possebilety to install and run windows mobile AND a linux version for pocket pc at the pocket pc?
because i have some programms that only run on linux for pocket pc and i want to use them on my pda!
or is there another way to do that?

check out the liniwizard Project
linwizard rocks. They guys are putting alot of effort behind the project. Try the gizard release which includes a Window Manager. Only thing they dont quite have is Orientation ons keyboard slide in/out. They even have a working gsm package

I cant paste a link here to the adress for the gizard package cuz for some reason opera mini doesnt support cut/copy and paste but the site is true-binary.com and check on page 23 it has the link. I had tried gizard but its too plain n not enough eyecandy but still its a step in the right direction out of windows.

On an M2D enabled rom with very little freespace ? Mine worked perfectly

I've modified the cabs of Jbed from this post, so it can run from SD and install all jar there.
You no longer have to waste space on device, making it possible to have unlimited number of games-apps installed. After flash you have to install only the cab file and you can have all your favorite games-apps that were installed, running from the SD.
I've made the last 3 version run from SD. 20081203.2.1 didn't run a lot of games... maybe 3d drivers issue? dont know... 20080912.5.1 works very good and supports touch screen enabled games, so it's recommended... 20090217.5.1R2 not tested yet.
If your ROM has build in a java version that you like, or if you want to install later a newer version, no worries, you can have them all installed at the same time and all working! java app from device will read the jars installed on SD.

I'v tried this two versions,but them doesn't work.
I'v tried on ASUS P525 pda windows mobile 5.
The programs doesn't start when I want to start it write that (the 'jbed' file can't open....)

Try installing a non SD version first (from the link in first post) and make sure you can run jbed, then try the SD version, try hard reseting before running too.
If you can't run anyone, see troubleshooter in official jbed site.

I'v done that you wrote.But 1 version has the"unknown" problem,another doesn't start, one strart and with this the games are starting but I have problem with the buttons.(when I use the buttons(1,2,3..9)I press some button once but the game feel like I Press constantly)
In build 20081203.2.1 this "direction keys bug is fixed but there are problems with many games.

It looks like it's device specific problem..
You should put on your signature your device information or post them first, so someone with your device could help you out.
Im having a problem on my htc blue angel, the hardware buttons that supposed to work as soft keys witch are calendar and contacts arnt working, when i press this keys they open up there pre define programs i.e contacts calendar, when i disable this keys programs so they dont open contacts/calendar the java manager stills does nothing i stay stuck at the screen were its says "do you want sounds yes or no", ive been draging this problem since many versions before this one, thats why i cant enjoy java on my phone witch sucks cause i love to play games on my device, can anyone inlight me on a posible solution??

go to settings -> buttons and set the coresponding buttons to <left Softkey> and right...
WiFi connection light
Sorry to bring this on but this is a bit annoying. After launching Java from Esmertec Jbed 20080912.5.1 (installed on SD card) the blue diode (HP IPAQ 210) for WiFi connection turning off. Internet access is OK but diode is off. Any suggestions?

where exactly is the succesfully installed .jar file is being put by jbed on my storage card?
cos i cant (dont know how) find them? i just want to make sure that it was already installed on my SDcard instead of device ram, so i can install another .jar file..

hello guys, new to this forum.. i tried to download this sd version of jbed, but when i am on the first page of the thread, i am no longer logged in.? im back logged in on the second page, but not when i go back to the first.. consequently, i cant download the file.. when i do it brings me to a login screen and runs in a sort of a loop.. i log in, it says thanks and brings me to the login screen.. help?
