I did not see this around, but I was just wishing I could do this and then BAM someone on XDA has it on lock down. You developers and contributors are great!

I installed the 1.1 .apk flawlessly the first time on my Evo running CM7.
So far it works great. Some people in the thread mentioned a noticeable lag when rotating between landscape and portrait, but I dont see that much of a difference from before the install.
Swyped with a Leukay board
I don't know about you guys, but being a landscape only user it really bothers me that I have to switch to portrait when changing my live wallepaper. So I fixed up the orientation settings in the LiveWallpapersPicker.apk to support sensor rotation this morning.
It's setup for a CWM flashable zip.
Again this is only for a deodexed rom such as Overcome 2.0. You may be able to use it on an odexed Rom if you delete the LiveWallpapersPicker.odex file, but I haven't tested that.
Before you ask any questions re-read over this post
I'm asking another question, as i prefer to use my tab on landscape mode too
for normal wallpaper, what resolution would be best for it?
coz if i use the available wallpaper, when turned to landscape, the bottom part got cut off
it doesnt
and if you know, where can i download wallpaper that fits landscape mode? i mean an app like flikie wallpaper HD or a site maybe
thanks before
Yeah I have found the same thing. Interestly though it seems to be more pronounced on ADW EX whereas GO launcher seems to display them correctly or close enough that it looks good. Its a great app with some awesome papers but I suspect its got more to do with perhaps the home screen in use when its set. Needs more experimentation but I'm flat out like a lizard drinking ATM.. :-D

To fit best I think its easiest to turn off the scrolling, that's what I always do. For static walls I think your able to figure out the total width, but live wallpapers depend how they're programed.

The phone does not Landscape to Portrait at the home screen. Applications Landscape to Portrait just fine.
I would like full Landscape to Portrait abilities back please.
About to restore data. Lets see how nicely it plays.
Which launcher are you using?
LauncherPro: Menubutton> Preferences >Behavior settings> Enable Auto Rotation
TWlauncher: Menubutton > Preferences >Homescreen Settings> Landscape Mode, Reboot phone

I was using TouchWiz, but I'll stick to LauncherPro if I get that functionality back.
EDIT: New favorite ROM by a rather gaping margin. I hope I wasn't being too anal about the screen rotation! Thanks man ;D
Nope, that's all good, that's why we have beta testers, to know what people want us to fix and what needs to be improved. That would have bugged the hell out of me too, I love my auto-rotation, I just use Launcher Pro so I just restore my backup when I first start up, so I don't ever have to play with settings again, it all just remembers me.

And if your on TW4Launcher go to preferences>homescreen settings> and select landscape mode and reboot. Landscape on that launcher is a bit buggy but works. If you use you home screen in landscape often I suggest a different launcher like Launcherpro, Adw or goLauncher

i reported the good so i must report the bad (there isnt much minor bugs)
1. as pope of the dope said what happened to landscape (which is weird because the auto-rotation button in the notification bar pull down menu is stuck and i cant unclick it)
2. if you do a pinch gesture you get a force close on the twlauncher
3. random button on the dialer over the "red x"
thats all i can find!
like i said before its amazing ill post a full review tomorrow after i figure out battery life and such
My phone rage quits life when I try to use the following apps: Gallery, WallPaper Wizardri, and Camera.
The camera causes FQs. Gallery & WallpaperWizardri both cannot detect any photos. Very odd.
For the launcher auto-rotation issue, read up about 3 posts.
The pinch gesture may just be broken. I'll look into it, but it's still a beta/buggy port from Fr4gg0r.
And I'll fix the button over the x quick too
@PopeofDope:
That's super weird, might be because you restored a data backup? Try rebooting into CWM and clearing the dalvik-cache in the advanced menu, that might fix the issues, as I don't have them here.
For those wondering, Dalvik is the VM system that runs android, and when you first start your phone, it extracts each apk individually into the dalvik-cache, so that it can run from there rather than having to extract the apk on the fly. However, the dalvik-cache is on the /data partition, so when you restore a backup of the /data partition from an older or different rom, you have to wipe the dalvik-cache so that it can be rebuilt from the new/current system

i selected that but i still dont have landscape function?
You also have to reboot after selecting that, not sure why, ask samsung why they created such a weird launcher.

i can agree with the camera partly
when i press the camera icon it force closes when i press the dedicated camera button it opens fine
but my gallery is fine
I would need to confirm this from everyone who may know something about it.
I have followed Valwit's instruction on how to make the Rosie Launcher support sensor autorotate. (Thanks)
And based on my experimentation, the results may disappoint you. (Like what I felt .)
Well, pictures will tell you more about it.
Check the attachments. The last two snaps will show you that it broke down the app drawer.
Yes, during on landscape, the touchscreen responses do not work properly. While in landscape, the phone still thinks its in portrait but just displayed it improperly.
These may need to be hard-coded to work properly?
It seems the only way for us to have rotated launcher, is just by using the native DOCK app.
As a new member of XDA, I would like to begin by thanking all of the devs for their great work, as well as all others for their advice and knowledge. Whenever I have problems with my phone or something I want to get done, I have learned that the great people of XDA always have an answer.
But now, on to my request: I'm sure many of you have seen the sphere transition that launchers such as GO Launcher EX have for their app drawers. I think it would be a great idea for someone to evolve this idea, and transform this sphere effect into full app drawer (preferably in the format of a standalone app, so that it may be used in any launcher). I imagine this would be fairly simple for someone to make, but quite frankly, I have no knowledge of programming and could not begin to undertake this task myself.
I imagine the app drawer would function much like the transition in GO Launcher EX does, but would not revert to the flat pages of the app drawer. Curiously enough, in GO Launcher, the transition can be rotated fully as long as you don't let go of the screen. This told me that it must be possible for someone to make this the actual UI for an app drawer, rather than just a transitional effect. In my opinion, this could be a versatile and modern interface, not to mention it being very classy in appearance. Thank you in advance for any help you guys may be able to offer.
Here is a link to a quick video I made, demonstrating how GO Launcher EX's sphere app can be rotated fully (the launcher is free on the market if you want to experiment with it on your own). Shouldn't this be able to be ported into a standalone app that STAYS a sphere? (Sadly this is my first post, so using a picture of the link as a workaround will have to do for now... Sorry!)
What he said.
No one has any idea how to get this option without Go Launcher? I'm surprised I've been trying to find any way to do this on my Nova pro launcher and can't find anything anywhere even about it really. I guess it must not be possible. It would be the nicest look though for sure.
