post your fave live wallpaper - Nexus One Themes and Apps

thought i would start up a thread, since i didn't see one up in the first six pages...
past faves = starfield, earth live
current fave = waves wallpaper. little floaty boat that moves depending on how i hold the phone, on constantly moving waves, with little dolphins, planes, and more background animation. probably heavier on the battery than some others, but i like it enough i'm going to keep it a while

andwobble ftw lol

Been using Earth Live for the longest time. I am on NexusMod currently.
I have been alternating those two for now.

I've always like the Nexus Live wallpaper and the mods people are doing just make it better and better.

earth live wallpaper
although i use the NexMod Live Wallpaper right now, until the next awesome version of earth live

I really like the Bezier one. Simple and pretty. I find most Live Wallpapers (such as NexusMod) lags the system a little bit.

ShakeThemAll - Android dolls with physics
Too much fun with this one!!!

Caught between Logcat Live Wallpaper and Earth Live Wallpaper. I think everybody knows about the Earth one, but I suggest everyone check out the Logcat one, it shows a current logcat output as your wallpaper. It is fully awesome. Check it out.

seeds of life and the fireworks one. i also liked the waves but it seemed to kill my battery much more.

HeyTalderon,
What Weather Widget skins are you using in your screenshot you posted? I like the theme of it.

Andwobble, by far my new fav.

[REQ] Smaller HTC Clock/Weather Widget + Flip

Having an HD2, I simply loved what Cookie has down with the look and feel of the UI, my only problem is the phone just sucked, lol. Ok, that was too much, my bad you HD2 owners browsing, but I really like how Cookie made a smaller version of the clock/weather widget for the homescreen. Here is a pic, outlined in red of course lol.

Also, another cool touch was the clock would flip to a new time, here is a video

I even notice some guy with an iPhone hacked Sense UI with a working flip clock, lol:

I think Home++ does this, not for sure, anyway to extract just the time/weather widget from it?
Here is some pics of Home++ clock/widget
Please does anybody know how to get these 2 working on Android?
Unsure of the name of that program , but you can test out :
I find it almost like the HTC Clock only smaller.

Fancy Widget looks amazing, just liek the real deal, but I have a problem where the time sometimes gets stuck and you have to refresh it manually
Thanks, I will try it out

[workaround] How to get transparent notification bar with launcher pro

Currently there is no way to my knowledge to use clear or transparent notification bars with lp. But yesterday, I noticed that it would show through With a live wallpaper selected. I also recently downloaded just pictures which comes with a live wallpaper also.
So download Just pictures. Open it and select your favorite wallpaper(s) Long press it and add to favorites. Then go and select the just pictures live wallpaper. Then watch them shine through your previously installed clear taskbar.
I realize this is a live wallpaper and may use a little battery. Though I havnt Noticed any difference.

Interesting. This gave me a theory on why and how to fix it.......I just don't have the time to work on it right now. FINALS /oh noes/

exactly how i feel
anyways, why can't this be done by editing framework-res.apk? i'm pretty sure i had a clear taskbar when i edited mine. i just didnt like the look of the fully clear taskbar because some apps' backgrounds would show through the area where the taskbar went...but the point is it worked? i only use launcherproplus as well
I'm sure if you rip apart lp's Apk you might be able to. However im not that Savy with all that and I'm sure if it was that Easy it would have been done already. Unless devs are just not sharing.

launcher pro and live wallpaper don't work good together for me. it tends to be sluggish when scrolling through screens.
Do u have a quick link to setting up the battery indicator the way u have it displayed? I've been looking for something just like that.
edit: nevermind, found it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=848803
Interesting. Are you saying that while using that program, I can choose non-live wallpapers and they would be transparent or only with live wallpapers? If using just images, it shouldn't really drain battery...I don't think...
I agree on the battery drain. And only live wallpapers will work

[Request] Boot Animation and Live Wallpaper of Phoenix (Bird)

I have attempted to create one in the past but not to my satisfaction. So I am looking for a talented graphic artist to create a Boot animation and Live wallpaper or Static Wallpaper. Specifics below:
For the Boot animation I would like to start with the HTC Logo and have it burst into flames and drop ash in a pile on the Glass ground with a black background. Then from the Ashes a Phoenix rises and flaps it wings a couple times then the image goes static with the Text appearing as Android and Phoenix below.
For the wallpaper the Phoenix risen with Android and Phoenix below in text. For a live wallpaper the phoenix in the hover position with the Wings flapping and fire and ash falling from it.
Please post here or in a PM. I am working on a MikMik Theme for the sense 3.0 verson and would love to have this supplement it.
Thanks
P.S. here is rough image Idea the colors are good but the resolution could be better.

Umm, I hope you don't mind my sticking my 2¢ in your space. While this seems completely wicked...I not so sure you realize the amount of time and talent your asking of someone. Plus you might want to state up front whether your going to compensate them for their talent or are asking them to do this pro bono.
Just saying...

Over 200 Views but no committed artist yet. Have had a couple PM's. Would really like to get this off the ground.
would like to help you but not a graphic artist much less a talented one...lol
I have had a couple PM's for theming but not The splash and boot animation. So I am still looking for a talented artist that can Maybe Render a Eagle in flames on 3d Max in the needed positions and in png form.
I've always like the red Phoenix that appeared in a 007 game in 2000
here is a pic i found you may like(made a splash you can use if you like it)

Thanks.. Yeah that looks good. That animated would be very nice for a bootanimation.

[Live Wallpapers][2.1+] The Hobbit 3D Live Wallpaper

I've created a new 3d Live wallpaper featuring The Hobbit theme. It's completely 3d and, imho, it's pretty cool. You can check it here:

looks really good. The app is having the same issues as my live wallpapers. I don't get the scrolling effect. All that I can see is: See attachment. You can see that I have my screen scrolled all the way to the left but the wallpaper remains centered.
This is a common issue for me also on Jellybean. It seems samsung and others have opted out of scrolling wallpapers. So those people that download it will only get to see the first ( center ) screen.
My live wallpapers are plagued by this to at least yours looks decent when on Jellybean it gets centered. Some of mine are way off to the left or right.
I had to add this notice to some of mine to stop people from buying and canceling all day lol.

Thanks for the feedback (especially the one on google play )!
It's true that samsung disabled the wallpaper scrolling on their phones (why the frack would they choose to disable one of the best features of the android UI is beyond me) and that may confuse the user a lot.

[Theme][UI Concept][UCCW] Facebook Redesign inspired UI Concept

Hey folks,
I am pretty sure many of you have seen this amazing facebook redesign concept and I thought I'd make a new Homescreen UI based on it - I think with the big screen of our galaxy note, it's a cool Idea. However, I am neither really good at photoshop nor at using UCCW and right now the problem I got is, that I am not able to resize the UCCW correctly.

}
I am using Nova Launcher ATM and no matter what grid size I use or what size I set the UCCW Image, it never goes fullscreen. Maybe it is due to the new update? Any hints are welcome, right now either have to use SSLauncher or as a wallpaper with transparent shortcuts...
Well, I will be uploading my UCCWs here and if any of you is interested in creating some UCCWs based on this redesign (Like a themed calendar, music player etc. etc.) would be cool if you post them here. I am sure there are many better themers than me out here
Greetings
I've got an idea on how to share your theme easily with others. Use buzz launcher, add in your uccw stuffs inside, and share. Other than that its free
I have already used buzz launcher but it is too laggy and unstable in my opinion. I can upload the uccw already but well it doesn't fit to full screen so thats kinda bad atm, I cant get the scaling right ! (and also I want to make it somehow customizable for you guys so I gotta remove my profile pic ofc )
I will upload some more concept stuff tomorrow, watched the DFB Final today and I am pretty exhausted now... if you want to have a glimpse at my work with SS Launcher, you can check it out here, with many tutorials and files already:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819644
Good luck with that mate waiting your work :good: btw where that new facebook with the redesigned UI ?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Here is a ZIP-File with the PNG's, maybe someone manages to resize them correctly for UZIP... but as far as I've seen, many users complained about the new update making widgets too small.
The Icons are from a paid icon pack called "Retrofied" btw, made by screenlicious, check his work out:
http://www.screenlicious.com/shop-2/
Also many free icons! I will continue working on some more tiles, stay tuned...
Greetings
Here's another UCCW, playing around with the Tiles UI...
