Request: ATT U-verse App
I've been looking all over the place for an att u-verse app like the apple app.
I agree Ive searched the market and there still isn't an app
I would love this. I've looked all over myself. Resorted to bookmarking mobile site.
it's out for select android phones like Droid and Fascinate. now how do we port it to Nexus phones?

I've been searching the forums can't find. Anything. On. Blockbuster or. Netflix app is there anything on that
I think it was either the galaxy or droid x thats getting a blockbuster app. I believe i even heard something about streaming. Does anyone know if its exclusive to that particular phone or if they are eventually going to release it for all android phones?
i would love a way to stream netflix too.
Netflix is working on an android app. That is all I can say about it.
We will get Netflix... if not I will cancel my membership.
From the HTC Evo!!
http://www.engadget.com/2010/06/28/sprint-lines-up-epic-4g-against-the-competition-likes-its-chanc/
notice the bottom it says the epic will have a movie service and the evo will not...
I emailed Blockbuster to ask when they will release an android application since we know it exists on the droid x and they refused to give me an answer as to if or when.

Blockbuster will go bankrupt before an app comes it. Netflix is coming soon. I spoke with one of the top dudes at the company.

Everyone needs to harass these companies till we get the applications, especially Blockbuster because it already exists (I don't know anything about netflix). I imagine the Droid X has an exclusivity contract but it can't last for too terribly long.
Blockbuster is on the market,,, just search for it.
come on Netflix!!

Not to mention that they have to pay for Hulu access. We can get the full Hulu site for free with a little tweaking!

its on market with horrible reviews
Blockbuster was pulled from the market cause it wasn't formatted for all the phones or carriers yet. Kept fc'ing and not downloading. My guess is whenever netflix comedy out, it'll be awesome.

Blah. Blockbuster works great on my Evo. I'll post up a download on my server for everyone in the morning. Too tired now.

Thank you.
or full tv episodes. its 3.99 and requires 2.2. also theres jetflicks but its 49.99 a year
Personally, I'm looking mostly for FREE stuff, altough I'm sure the recommendations for fee based stuff may help someone else reading this thread .
I'm running Andriod 2.2 off my HD2. Being used to WM, there were apps like WebTV and Online TVx, that had lots of free channels and even SPB TV is free on WM. So I'm just looking for similar on Android. But I'm not paying SPB for TV on Andriod when I can use their app free in WM.

Given hulu continues to block mobile devices, it's only a matter of time before an app like this will stop working due to being blocked.
SPB TV is now free
I guess the folks who make SPB TV got the message that most of us would never be willing to pay for their app .
SPB TV is now free.

Only works on an Epic Galaxy S as far as I know. Did not work on my friends Captivate.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=841472
Don't know if someone has gotten it to work on the Captivate?
As far as modified flash for hulu, I thought they were talking about this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=688054
Personally, I've got a Slingbox and SlingPlayer, so I'm not worried about regular TV content. I'm interested in utilities for free access to more Internet based broadcasts.
I came to the mez from a EVO and one of the things that I liked about sprint was the TV. I think I am one of the only ones that really used that app, but my question is: Is there any TV app for the us cell mesmerize or is there a way to port over the .apk to work on our mesmerize? Any help would be great thanks!!
Search the market for tvflash or flashtv (i think its tvflash).
I dont know if it works on our 2.1 phones though. And they have.porn channels lol.

thanks, I will check them out and see. need my sports and im missing the NFL app too.
Since Google pulled it and Grooveshatk's website still redirects to the Market, I was wondering if someone could upload the APK here. Thanks!
Here you go...
Why did they pull it?
Ideos X5 / Huawei U8800
Much thanks!
I'm new to grooveshark and didn't realize that the mobile app needs an anywhere account @ $90/yr. Since you have the apk, I'm assuming you might be a subscriber. If so, do you find it worth it?
I am a subscriber but, I didn't get the apk from my phone. I found it somewhere else.
As for the service itself, I was using Grooveshark a long time and since I was grandfathered in, I pay 3$/month. For that, it is totally worth it.

Nice.... it seems to be a lot better than pandora or slacker premium in that u can make your own playlists etc. I just jumped in for a year @ $20 for their support Japan promotion.

There was one apk that was modded so that you could get the functionality for free. This guy Here also makes a free alternative to the grooveshark app.

Your link is broken, and I don't see the app in the market. I call bull****. Besides, it was already announced that only 2nd gen snap dragon phones would get netflix? The Incredible and Nexus don't fit the bill. Hope I'm wrong, I can pickup an Incredible on craigs for nothin.

Link is working fine. You don't see it in the market because its not compatible with the Tbolt.

The link works fine. But it says that my Thunderbolt is "not a supported device."
The link is broken because of the http and https mashed together at the beginning. If you remove the https it works fine. It is definitely disappointing but I imagine they'll add support for the TB eventually.

Maybe you should put a minute amount of effort into search before you crap on someone. Now who has egg on their face? That's right you do...
http://www.engadget.com/2011/05/12/netflix-releases-android-app-for-select-htc-phones-samsung-nexu/
I wonder if changing the device ID is enough to fool the netflix app... I hope someone here figures it out...
Based on the permissions this app requires, it probably reads the build.prop file to determine which phone you are using.
Any way to trick the app into thinking we're using an Incredible or something?

I'm with you on the 2nd gen Snapdragon thing. Everything I read about the LG Revolution said that it could only run the Netflix app because it has a Qualcomm MSM8255 (same chip that is in the T-bolt).
so wait my girls one year old evo can play netflix but my brand new thunderbolt cant? Really watching windows 7 man.
somebody pulled the apk but it still does not work on the Thunderbolt. The apk seems to look at the phone it is on when loading. I dont have enough post to post a link so edit the following.
www multiupload com NPZ062QIZB
what happen to all that drm talk?
Give it some time. This is what Netflix says on their blog:
The Market download will initially be available only on select phones that currently have the requisite playback support. We expect to quickly add to the number of phones that can download from Android Market as we work with ecosystem partners to expand playback support.

It only makes sense for them to first support phones which have been out longer, and have a larger installed base.
Can it be that the reason the Thunderbolt won't be sporting Netflix is because Verizon had blockbuster preinstalled?
