I took Prash's boot animation and got rid of the android dude in the middle. I like the cleaner look. All images were saved as png8 for "better" performance (seems flip through the frames faster now).
adb remount
adb push /system/media
thanks Prash for the great work!!!

he's got it right. same boot animation, no dude in the middle.
This is a bootanimation that i've created from a part of first Transformers Movie.
If you have a ROM that support Custom BootAnimation you have to put bootanimation.zip in /system/media folder (enable R/W)

Yes i agree,i had trouble with mine in system/media.Nice boot animation, thanks.
Just a little boot animation i whipped up in After Effects.
Not gonna lie, this was based off a template. But it was edited and resized by me, and made to work with the KF. the logo is custom made by me as well.

Use ADB. Guide Here
To check your device is connected type:
Code:
adb devices
If it's not, you need to follow the guide linked above to install the usb drivers.
-----
To add an animation type:
Code:
adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local
To test that it's installed correctly type:
Code:
adb shell bootanimation
And it should show the animation on the Kindle screen. Press ctrl+c to stop the animation.
To remove the boot animation and restore your unit to stock, type in:
Code:
adb shell rm /data/local/bootanimation.zip
-----
Via a file explorer app (Requires root):
Copy 'bootanimation.zip' to the sdcard. On your Kindle open the file explorer app of your choice (any app that allows you to copy and paste to the internal memory, "Root Explorer" is a useful app). Copy 'bootanimation.zip' and paste it to /Data/Local. If the folder doesn't exist, create it.
I will attempt to create a flashable zip, Ned a tester. Anyone?
It's nice and it works, but It's a little laggy. Seems like I can't post a video.
Needs "Bliss" TTF(true type font)...

My only complaint is the font is not correct. However I just remedied that situation. Check your inbox, i sent you a PM.
The boot animation lagged; and the dimensions didn't look all that good.

What do you mean? It's a full-screen landscape bootanimation. Looks fine to me... Picture? Video?

I mean the sizing you did on the animation. It looks pixelated and it didn't look like the animation was the proper size.
Looks cool, but I would prefer portrail bootscreen though

When I had someone shoot a video of it, it looked fine to me... maybe you could show a video of said pixellation? It should be the same size and resolution as the KF itself.

Awesome!! It's time to change my CM7 bootanimation~
I have a real world video. Just need to break the 10 post thing so I could link it, or you can find me on YouTube (GermanGTD65).
Here are a few that ive optimized for KF ICS roms.

Ive changed the color of the boot animations to an orange (fire) hue but the previews show the original color.

Install via a file explorer with root access:
Copy the boot animation zip file to your sd card.
Start your file explorer (i use Root Explorer) and navigate to the file.
Rename it from 'whatever.bootanimation.zip' to just 'bootanimation.zip'
Copy bootanimation.zip and then navigate to Data/Local.
Rename your current bootanimation.zip to bootanimation.zip.bak and then paste in the new one.
Reboot and enjoy.

Install bootanimation:
Code:

Will definitely try. I'll report later.

Yeah, i noticed that too, and they all seem to lag in the same spot, about halfway through the animations. Might be something happening while ICS boots thats causing it. Will have to check on my girlfriends kindle, its running stock.
nice post, thanks!
Nice

Your rom might now support boot animations...I would check your rom's thread to see.

I'm running AOKP M5 on my GSM Galaxy Nexus. The current boot animation is a custom one and it was installed via CWM. Currently, there is only one Jellybean CWM flashable zip, and it failed to install.
I thought the jb animation was a bunch of triangles flipping? This is just the word android. I thought I saw a vid of something else.

Try to do manually
Either use any 3rd party app to delete the old bootanimation and then put this.
