5.2.1413 mUn Based ROM - Pandora 01.05 - RELEASED!

RELEASE!!!
After scouring for days and countless hours, and with much thanks to everyone who's helped debug mUn's latest release, I'd like to throw my completed recipie out to the group for those who would like to give it a try.
It's a mix from different packages and fixes from the forum, as well as a couple from the kitchens floating around. Nothing new here, just a custom cook job.
NOTE: It only flashes the OS. Nothing added in the ROM for IPL/SPL, CID, SPLASH, or HTC_LOGO. Just FYI.

Known Issues:
Flash Player not working in PIE. No solution identified (thus not included in ROM).
Same Wifi issue on some phones (won't start), need to set HTCPreloadStatus and Wifi to 1 - cab attached below.
X-Button 1.5 causes theme / today screen issues. I don't recommend you install the cab until a fix is found.

As with anything here, I've done my best to ensure it will work, but it's all done at your own risk. I'm not a rom god, and I'm limited to the tools we've all been provided and the speed of which life allows me to tackle new challenges.

BUT READ, READ, READ.
You are trying to flash you device - and you don´t even know how.
So please first read before doing something wrong.
BTW- the nk.nbf is a file inside a RUU folder or and WInrar exe.
SO replace teh nk.nbf from an RUU with this file - and flash.
BTW - the first psot RUUsplash.ip contains a nk.nbf just replace - i guess.

1.5 can be dropped on top of this one. its just a couple new files and some new reg keys. I can throw together a package if you need it.

I don't think that you can flash with Vista tho....

The X-Button version is 1.0, build 27666. I didn't catch the downrev version. NYD, feel free to post and I'll add it to the first post - thanks.
The RUU that I included in the first post is just for the splash screen, and already includes a nb.nbk file. Its only purpose is to update your IPL/SPL picture. Use whatever method you usually use for your phone version - G3/G4.

Lots n lots of improvement is required.
Best example is have a look at Onyx latest WM6.5 beta releases...
Hope that will give you a great opportunity to tune your ROM.

many tnx for the effort, downloaded and testing now

this latest rom, V76, is brilliant.
Its quite stable
& the honeycomb menu isnt laggy at all (unlike another 6.5 rom i tried)
but i do have a couple of complaints:
When scrolling down the start menu, it stops after 4 rows
it would be much better it if just continued onwards as fast as your flicked it
Otherwise it takes three flicks to get to the bottom of my list.
The other thing is how it always hangs for a moment or two when you lock it.
Because of this, im now using S2U2 like i used to with a 6.1 rom, but if it was a bit quicker, i would be using the built in lock.
Other than these two things, its great

If there is a fix for the "only scrolling down 4 rows" thing, please let me know as it would make this rom truly amazing

That is how Microsoft has developed it. For some reason, the Microsoft guys find it useful this way.

four rows is all i can see at a time, so its just moving down to the next four.

But when I enter the File Explorer options, and touch the folder in which I want to enter, the screen starts scrolling ??
I have to press very hardly to the enter the folder...
Same behaviour in messaging and similar apps where there is selection from a list.
Is someone else facing this problem ???
Please help me to solve this problem...

If you dont want use it, you can using SKTool or MemMaid for disable it on startup

Hehe.. that's the infamous "butter finger" issue You might also see other issues such as dead areas of the screen and programs closing down unexpectedly when you touch the screen. It cannot be completely fixed unless you replace touch.dll and biotouch.dll with an older one. You need to cook them into the ROM, it's not a simple matter of copy and paste into \Windows.

So is it the case with other 6.5 ROM's also (I mean the Onyx ones) ?

first of all, great job mate!
1. bug is, as you surley noticed, the first row (Start gps clock ecc)
2. the symbols are a lil bitt to big.
3. the text in the main screen is not sharp enough. same prob with mikey's rom
4. had a strange reboot when i hit the getting started option
5. whatz the strange zoom function?
6. when i go in the setting window i cant touch on any single symbol/button...
7. the scroll function is not good enough
8. maybe you could incorporate the automatic network setting? (which i miss on onyx roms tooooooooo)
9. when i start google maps i cant click on accept or decline
10. spontaneous reboots when i try to change different settings... 4ex. setting the clock
but yar on the right way bro! keeep cooookinG

Yea this zoom function comes with the latest xip i guess... i am myself surprised.. have'nt seen anywhere else ...
Anyway thanks .. i will look into all your sugesstions in my forthcoming builds..
Maybe i will cook a ROM with a stable SYS/XIP !!... All i need now is time..

i am using some platform builder kitchen..... also i have fixed most of the issues and updated to 23037 now... still some minor issues to fix.. will update a new rom later today.. huff!!.. i should have started with a stable build.. these builds are buggy like anything.. but it was fun finding the fixes and stuff... if i have time i am plannaing for rom with a stable build as well..

Great job man! I found just one thing: The Task Manager in Settings>> Personal is odd, but I can open this using Quick Menu, then I think this is just a Shortcut issue. The rest is perfect till now! Porting to Portuguese!

i will look at that. You can get the Portuguese Brazilian files here but you will need to orginize those files so it can be used in Ervius Kitchen if porting is more easier then this way go with the easiest way

What's in 21054 that makes it better than the stock? Besides the apps you added, is there a performance or memory increase or did you just want to play with the latest and greatest?

To be honest i dont know but i think its just bug fixes and better performance but you can go herehere is a quote from Da_G

It's more stable, better battery life and have some improvements that stock don't have. I consider the 21054 the best 6.1 build .

LOL, no sweat man. I was just curious. I like the 6.5 rom that mord4z has made, and I guess to each is own as far as what they load, I was just wondering what made this one, the one you chose. Thanks for looking into it though.

i flashed this on a couple of friends Treos that had the original OS, just because with the stock ROM garmin mobile XT crashed sometimes after a reboot if the GPS was correctly set and usable...
this one works great XD
pS: now im fighting with realvga for making them spanish, since tons of things stop working (now looking at ebag realvga)

No, you can't flash this rom on your phone.
you should doing HSPL.
for HSPL:
1.you should lower your boot loader of 5.XX to 1.XX. [Downgrade bootloader with gold Card]
2.HSPL. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
3.flash Custom rom.

Apart from going crazy because there's anything to use to backup savegames (my poor bug village...), I installed wAppStore.
If I install an application from the window "application", clicking on the down arrow,
it is installed but I got a "NullReferenceException" and then click ok.
wAppStore closes...
The installed application works...
If I select the application and from inside the "application page" I click on install, the error doesn't come out.

Hey Thanks for the rom but i would love to have xbmod's certs in the rom. Is it possible to do that? it will make this rom perfect for me then.

at the correct moment we don't have xbmod's cer file...but as soon as possible i will ask him to give us his cer file so we can use it in our next releases...

Problem with payable applications
Hello all!
Did anyone of you experienced any problem when launching payable application?
After reading this post (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24018416&postcount=2), I tried to do the same and downloaded from Marketplace trial version of Angry Birds.
After installating complete, I launched the game, it seemed to go but at the end I went back to the main game page...
Any comment/suggestion?

I have xbmod's cer file with me. I am attaching it. Please check with xbmod to use it in your rom.

Voice commands are not working in this ROM for me. I hold the windows/home key but no "speak now" prompt appears. And there is no microphone symbol in the search box anymore to use your voice instead of typing.
Hope there is a fix as I don't want to wipe my phone again.

I tried few seconds ago and confirm it. Is it maybe because in Settings, ease of access, the value for "Speech for Phone accessibility" is set to off and can't be modified???

actually in iran we can't have payable cards...like paypal and these things...so we can't test it by our selves...
if anyone have problem with this thing please report so we can fix it in the next version...

please check your settings....i think one of your setting is off...so it doesn't work for you...

The voice commands have nothing to do with my settings. I am now using the Dynamics Tango ROM and everything is working great
EDIT: "Speech for Phone accessibility" also have nothing to do with the voice commands, it is working great for me now but "Speech for Phone accessibility" is still off.
