is there an app that changes app names? I found "App name editor" but that only changes app names on your "home screen" or "desktop(s)" as i call it. I'd like to change the name in the app screen. for instance "hide my sms" doesnt do me much good if the name implies exactly what its doing. any such app?
I don't know of any app like that, but I would imagine you're going to have to use a 3rd party launcher to be able to edit app names in the app drawer. You may want to check out LauncherPro - it looks very similar to the stock launcher, but lets you customize all sorts of things. One feature is the ability to hide certain apps from showing up in your app drawer at all. Would this solve your problem, and you could still put a link to the app on your homescreen (with a changed name or even without the name, just the icon).

ADW Launcher EX has a edit option which can rename app name & change icon.
Maybe try that.

in the app drawer, or just on the homescreen? I know LauncherPro can do both on the homescreen, don't know about the app drawer.

Haven't found the solution for the app drawer :/
Hey guys,
I saw that "Lockdown Pro" has an option to hide the app icon from the launcher, so if you want to launch it you need to press some code on your dialer like *##123##* or anything else of your choice.
I liked it
Is there an app to this to another apps?
For example, lets say I want to hide my "Flappy bird" app icon from the launcher (or any other app) and launch it with some code in the dialer.
Thanks,
Casteel
hmmm...
No such thing...?
Hey , I was searching a while for a possibility to get access to all apps in notification bar via floating window. In options there is already the option to add 5 apps in notification bar.
But does anyone has an idea how to get access to any app?

Hi!
I am wondering if it would be possible to launch a specific app by clicking on a widget that is from a different app?
IE I like the weather widget from one app but like the actual app layout from another one.
Thanks!!
I have a rooted nexus 6p with Xposed installed.
