Console Emulators

I often see people posting about emulators for games on the devices and I have no idea how these work and what I can do with them.
Can someone give me a quick idiots guide? WHere to get them, how they work etc.

THis was a good link - thanks so much. It had my favourite game of all time and has taken meback to my student games. I now have the original sonic the hedgehog that we used to play in my first year of uni till the early hours. Even the music makes me nostalgic.
I have worked out how to assign the buttons but I cant get a good combination on the fingers - is anyone using this game (or any involving right left and jump) on the MDA Vario 2 and can you advise me of the easiest way on the fingers.

It wasn't that I didn't understand but that it went into too much detail about the techincal side of roms and rams and regstries etc. and I dont know about these and dont want to start to learn. Thanks anyway

Can anyone here please get this awesome GBA and SNES emulator (PocketSnes) working?

First, the courts have repeatedly ruled that emulators are absolutely, perfectly 100% legal. There is NO grey area about this at all. Talking about emulators is not a legal issue at all.
Roms however are illegal to share or download so discussing where to get them, what torrents to get them in is not acceptable and so please absolutely no discussion of roms here.
My question relates to the Gameboy Advance and Super Nintendo emulator found here...
http://www.pocketsnes.net/ (I don't think this is the latest version but I can't find a newer version).
It's a program that lets me play backed up copies of gameboy advance and super nintendo games that I own on my mobile phone.
While the program worked perfectly fine on previous generation HTC phone, I can't get it to work here.
Could someone with some software experience please work on, or figure out what the problem is and why we can't get it running on this particular HTC phone.
It's honestly the only drawback to upgrading to the Kaiser so I would love to have it fixed.

P.S: I think the source code for this is up so it should be easy to recompile.

the problem you might be facing is the problem everyone has with the kaiser and that is the quallcom proccesor all the older programs are purely written for arm and xscale proccesors so there we go again new hardware isnt reconised by the old software...
dont know if im true but its my five cents about this...

I'm 95% sure that the sourcecode for pocketsnes was released years ago.
The old program was written for Windows Mobile (the same OS we have now).
Could someone maybe recompile it in whatever language works with qualcomm processers (I have no idea how to do this but I'm hoping it can be done by some brilliant coder out there).
I will happily contribute to a paypal account for whoever can pull that off as I am sure many others will.

have you tried morphgear? it plays gba, nes, snes, genesis, turbo16, vgba, hugo all in one using it on the tilt running fine didnt test gameboy yet.

Anyone have a link for the morphgear cab? ive searched all over google for a morphgear download and none are compatable with the tilt. for the person saying it works on their tilt, u got a link for where u downloaded it? Also, once i download the emulator, do u have a link to where i can find games to download? Thanks!

Here's How
Use Market Enabler and you'll be able to install the app from the Market
Works for me every time I flash
Go the "Set Custom" tab and enter 23415 then press "Set to this values"
Then clear you Market data, Force stop it and load the app in the Market using the URL in your original post

I'd love to but I haven't got access to Android market on my work Android and I need the APK as I can install that if I can get it!

Hi, I know I'm new and I hope this is fine (I've read through everything and didn't see anything that said I couldn't), but I've been looking absolutely everywhere, checking every day for the APK for this, the Live Football Score Centre. I can't obtain it via the Market since I'm in the US, and I haven't rooted my phone, and I was wondering if anyone could help me out with an APK or something to help get the APK.

Although, Sky might have a check on it as to whether you're outside the UK when it runs like they do on Sky Go. Not got my cable handy at the moment, but can grab it later.
