I'm running the Desire ROM on my N1 and it doesn't include the Genie News + Weather program / widget. All the .apk's I've found online are the U.K. versions with U.K. news fed in-- anyone know where I can get the U.S. version?

Looked in CM's build but couldn't locate; any help is appreciated
...or could this be related to the Language settings; there's no English (United States) option in the ROM. i installed the version from ERE27 and it's still showing UK based news.

Yup, same here. Gotta be the no-English options in the ROM. Oh well, running Sense 2.1 on N1-- can't complain much!

lol yeah probably last as usual...oh well i got hofo300 in and it feels real official, case's rom is nice to...and myhero 2.0.2 is great!! Bluetooth works on hofo300 but hotweiss is coming with 3.0..1 soon according to his twitter

I HAVE 32A italian and i insert my original serial on htc italian website but the site say the serial is incorrect..
And now it is released in Norway.

You have to insert your S/N not the IMEI! (S/N is under your battery!)

Why not? It does not mean that there is anything new to that ROM in comparision to your 2.10 or what ever. It "could" be that there is something, but it does not have to...
Maybe there is just a newer Google Mail App or something that isn't worth thinking about it (because you can also get it on the market)
But if someone find a way to extract the version numbers we could find out what's new.

- new Bootscreen. The letters aren't written like before, they now seem to "fade in"

Not sure if hBoot really does matter but for me it worked with hboot 0.93 (S-OFF)
but I had 2.10 running with 0.75 even if 2.10 was shipped with a newer version of hboot.

Should work with any GSM Desire.
There are some more languages in it.
You'll need a gold card if your original ROM version wasn't x.xx.161.x as that's the Vodafone vendor code, just as WWE is x.xx.405.x

Based on Vodafone UK 2.33.161.2 from OP
- Rooted
- App2SD (required EXT2 or EXT3 Partition. EXT4 is not supported)
- Added Busybox + run-parts support
- moved dalvik-cache to SD
- Full Deodexed

I wiped and flashed the sbf but Swype says it's 2.25.67.18335. I had 3.4.3 before.
I downloaded from the posted mirror, maybe builds got confused? My phone says its 3.4.3-3 not 11.

No I had to patch it with files from a US ROM.

You can also rip out the bp_nvm_default files manually from whatever ROM that works in your region.

I've just flashed this sbf 3.4.3-11 after having the previous UK froyo 3.4.2-117.
All seems OK at the moment no issues at all & everything seems to be working.
I've rooted & overclocked & with the same settings in Setvsel as I had in the last version a quick quadrant test with all the usual MotoBlur running showed as:
3.4.3-11 score of 1421
3.4.2-117 score of 1364
eclair 2.21 score of 1254.
Will report back in a few days after I've had a chance to run it for a while to see how it compares with the previous froyo.
Best rom. Voice search works. Nu bugs. All options in settings.

you can´t see it from your device...
but if you want to know what´s the current version go to market and write "swipe"
browse for the keyboard aplication and eter to info... here its written the number of version... and if you want you can download and replace your current swipe keyboard

galaxy s has by default swipe keyboard in his sistem...and he can´t see it like an apk...
but if he installs spwipe from market he can see it from setting like you said..
