How to flash on ELFIN
What You Need
- This Loader File http://rapidshare.com/files/146172083/Loader.zip
How To Flash
1
- Connect Your Phone To Your PC
- Vista Users Make Sure You Have Windows Mobile Center Installed And You Have Established A Connection
- XP Users Make Sure You Have ActiveSync Installed And You Have Established A Connection

- Now That You Know Your Phone Is Connected To Your PC Run The Loader File Which You Downloaded (Double Click On Click To Run.exe)
- After You Run The Loader File A Black Screen Will Pop Up On Your PC
- Follow The Steps 1 and 2 On The Black Screen (You Will Only Complete Steos 1 and 2, Step 3 Is Not Needed And Does Not Work)
- After You Complete Step 2 On The You Should Have An All White Screen On Your Touch
- If You Have An All White Screen On Your Touch You Are Done
- Now Just Run The ROMUpdateUtility.exe That You Downloaded With The Rom (Make sure your phone is in the white screen)

it should work on elfin this is a os only rom no radio, spl ipl or splash

It won't run on elfin (on mine at least).
I tried with several RUU, including (at first attempt) with the one provided in the archive.
I think it has to deal with the version number which is set to 1.00.... Seyia, on win-mobile forum (french) had the same issue with flash for elfin, while his rom was flashing with no problem on elf.
If you could renew your rom with an other version number, it should do the trick
BTW, i'd really like to test this rom

You can run the Page Pool changer or device_info.bat applications to view or change the PP size (see my sig).

did you use the elfin friendly version?

hey, i just flashed my elf with this rom and everything works great. one problem i noticed was that when i press the volume button and click the volume icon it opens the battery settings and the signal icon opens the volume.. other than that its great!

that's the point I didn't use elfin friendly version but it work well,should it be a abnormal thing?
the only problem I encounter by now is when I slide tab to message, it can just display english character but other words like chinese are missing, any idea about it?

This is an amazing ROM! I have been taking a break from flashing new ROMs and glad I tried this. I haven't even loaded any other apps and may not. Great job!
So far I have not found anything I don't like - and that never happens! I prefer the PCM keyboard with my skin, but the one on this ROM is certainly acceptable and I will likely get used to it. The dialer is amazing. I have not seen that slide up and down to hide the commands before.
If there is anyone on the fence about trying this ROM - DO IT - DO IT NOW. I had no problems flashing using the ELFIN files on post one.

HTC Touch Pro ROM Update is available

Hello everybody,
ROM Update is available for download at http://http://www.htc.com/www/supportdownloadlist.aspx?p_id=140&cat=all
Unfortunately when I try to download it there is message saying “this upgrade is not suitable for your device”.
Does any one have some experience with this ROM Upgrade?

Correct, it is only for arabic language, but why we are not able to download it?

It is true, the update is just a package for Arabic update only that localizes the Touch Pro. The user needs to provide the device serial number which I doubt it is region based serial numbers.
Otherwise, there ain't any ROM update so far -to my knowledge

HT835K010234 this S/N works for german ROM. Used it for my also Vodafon Branded (not anymore ) Phone
Edit: But u have to do this Hard SPL from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410150, because vodafon prevents installing from this Firmware. Even its official.

Anyone tried the new firmware? I donloaded it but I am not installing yet...
I want feedback from users that already installed it and are using it.
Anyone comment on the new firmware?
Is it faster? What version of opera browser does it have? Is it resolving the hardware keyboard issues? Does it have the Hd Touchflow3d? Things like that...

I flashed it yesterday (my previous ROM was the original one), so I can only tell you the main changes I can see:
- TouchFlo 3d is the same as before - no new panels like in hd
- this rom seems to be very fast, it boots very quickly after installing all programs I use
- issues with camera seems to be fixed (I had problems with focusing, sometimes it didn't work)
- Google Maps are integrated in system, there's no need to download them from internet
- touchflo is much faster than before
- I can see Help shortcut in Start menu, I didn't have it in previous version
- Opera version is 9.5 Build 15306
That's all I can say about it now, I'm a little bit disappointed because of TouchFlo, I thought that HTC will add some new panels. But the ROM seems to be very stable and THPS2 is playable even without Omnia graphic driver.

Could some one provide serial to download English rom?

This ROM has also fixed one of the most annoying bugs: clock moving back a few hours when phone is set off. I haven't had this problem since I installed this new ROM.
But the new ROM has a terribly amateurish bug: in the "people" page of TF3D the left menu item reads "Contact" instead of "Contacts". Does anybody know if a registry edit can fix that?

Does anyone knows if with the new rom we need the ati d3d driver for better performance of the graphics or the Sd tune cab for better speed of the sd card???

I certainly needed the D3D Driver to get the Diamond Hologram to have any frames per second.

-ive used the rom but there are several bugs related to wifi.
-secondly u cant edit the sliding panels or titanium on on this rom.
-the default file manager is resco, ( no windows file manager )
-windows media player replaced with coreplayer and imo coreplayer sucks @ managing music (pocket player is better imo) albeit the nice video playing features
-menu looks nice ( the right softkey menu )
-basically thats it.
-and there is no office mobile (you can install it)
-if ur not afraid to flash roms go ahead and flash it (make sure u have the backup original rom in case anything goes wrong)
and if u want to install the wm6.1 rom instead u need to fiddle with the registry.

Can you please be kind to post the procedure? Tried to change the firmware & registry in the phone but no use.
My ROM is 4.3.2 EU1. What's the region of my phone? Can't find even an official 6.0 firmware for this.
Also when I try to update to 6.1, it doesn't say any language problem. Phone restarts to firmware upgrade screen & wait for the (Virtual) LAN connection to connect but it never does. Why is that?

Flash Player for Windows Mobile 6.1

Hi Friends,
I'm using HTC Touch Diamond 2 with original configuration. In my phone I found that there is only Opera browser not Internet Explorer. Opera browser is fine but it doesn't play Flash content. When I tried downloading the Flash Player from adobe it downloads .exe file which after download doesn't work. Please help me out as opera browser doesn't show any flash content.
Please somebody send me the cab file of flash player & cab file for Internet explorer.

you need to update your opera mobile to 9.7 beta. you will then have flash lite 3.1 support.
that is the best you can get, short of using skyfire (google it)
you will NOT be able to play most flash games (farmville or mafia wars on facebook for example)

i just updated my HTC TP2 with 6.5 and am trying to view a webpage that contains flash videos.
i only get the flashplayer symbol but it doesnt play. i can klick it and get info to inter active x flash lite 3.1
but thats it.. am i missing something? or is this video just too much for the lil flas app?
