Well I just used some cab for an LED fix and now if I try to boot up HTC Sense, it freezes my TP2. I tried uninstalling it, reinstalling and booting it back to 5 minutes, but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there any hope or even a cab I can do to fix this back from normal?
If not I will have to hard reset. I just synced with myphone just incase.
edit: too impatient so I hard resetted.
So now I just want to get a LED notification cab that works perfectly with MR1 thanks!

what LED notifications do you want? For text messages, emails or something?
IIf you are looking for any kind of message or missed call ect. Go to start>settings>sounds and notifications. Choose the right tab and from there you can edit any notification and make it use the LED if you have a notification.

My HD2 is behaving very weird..! When I received an SMS, there is no notification tone. Had tried to restart the device, the notification tone comes back, but for some reason, there is no notification tone again after a while...? Does anyone knows the reason? Help! Thanks~!
I have had this on a few occasions, & most recently 2 days ago. I dont know what the problem is but a soft reset seems to do the trick. It does bug me though!
start> settings> sounds and notification> notifications tab> set dropdown list to message: new sms, and check the settings there.

Same problem here. Went to settings changed the sound for new sms even made softreset but when ever I receive a new sms I have no notification.
I had the problem with notification sounds when I changed my manila language from default (via registry) to other. Going back to default language brought back the tones.
Have you been messing with the language (using registry) recently...?
I have had the same problem with my Atrix. It seems a virus attached to one of my yahoo emails and fried the sd card. Try removing the card and reformating it on your computer. If that does not work then the only way to fix it is a hard reset to factory settings.

OK so my text notifications have just stopped working. I have everything checked in settings to on. And have used it before, it just all of a sudden stopped popping up and now the stock android text preview shows. Is anyone else having this issue? I cant seem to solve it, I even hard reset the phone and it was working for a bit then stopped again. Any help is greatly appreciated, I miss my quick reply
Yeah this has happened to me too, sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. It sucks cuz I really like the little text notification thing l: yeaaa..
One of the only problems I have with my texting app is that when I receive an mms text pic it never loads.. also when I click someone's name, it might take me to anothers conversation

Ive tried everything to fix this issue. But i get it to work for about 10min then it just deactivates all over again. Im getting really frustrated with this crap!!! Whats the point of having the feature if it doesnt work!!!
I activated pop ups for my email account and they work just fine... But with sms its no dice, anyone have any idea what could be causing this?
So I finally just downloaded handcent sms and only use it for the pop up quick reply everything else is turned off. Works like a charm and I like it better than the stock pop up quick reply.

Using CM7.1
Was working perfectly for a month.
Seemed to happen out of no where, no new apps installed or settings changed. The phone will vibrate for incoming calls, haptic, everything except SMS.
Using GoSMS but it does the same with the stock messanging app. Vibration is turned on in all the system and messanging settings. In fact, when I test settings in GoSMS it reports "vibration on".
Tried clearing the dalvik cache and tried installing this app but it won't show anywhere in the app drawer and I can't find it anywhere on the phone despite the market saying its installed. Unfortunate becasue it seems this app was designed for this very issue with desire/insprire.
Anyone have a fix for this or a method I could get the above app to install properly?

Gregsarg was actually probably right the first time. It doesn't seem to be an APP issue (as all MMS apps have the same lack of vibrate), but a broader issue.
His suggestion to install CM7 on top of itself is likely the simplest attempt at solution since you haven't found a specific solution through your searches.
I also tried the GoodVibrations.apk and it only shows in airdroid, mybackup, and managing all apps... It doesn't even have the 'open' command on the market menu after installing it >.>

Thanks. Unfortunately I didn't see this suggestion before it was edited out. What exactly is meant by install CM7 on top of itself? Through clockwork I presume?
Yeah, just flash the SAME rom again (after backing up AND without wiping anything), and your settings should stay in place.
There is also a setting in the stock CM sms app that controls vibration, which is turned off by default.
Yeah vibrate in the stock SMS program is on. While I haven't gotten around to reflashing just yet I have noticed a few other things that lead me to believe its a ROM issue. Sometimes when I put the phone on silent it turns off all system vibrations even after coming off silent. I have to go back in and turn vibration back on. This is intermittent. Also, out of the blue the phone started vibrating during calls, come to find out "vibrate every 45 seconds during outgoing calls" was magically turned on.
It WILL vibrate when an SMS arrives if I'm on a call. Swell.
Flashed the new 7.2 nightly and the problem still exists. Everything remained intact after the flash so I figure I'll just do a full wipe/factory reset and flash the new nightly again and start over. Hopefully whatever caused this won't carry over with titanium restoring apps.
Do the full wipe, install the rom... then get a friend to send you text messages BEFORE you restore from Titanium, and then after....
Easy to isolate if you're carrying the issue from ROM to ROM.
Had the same issue, could find no fix. Used vibrate tools from the market and no issues for a week or so now..

That did it thanks! Saved me from having to do a full wipe. Phone is back to vibrating with SMS and I can change the vibration pattern. Nice.
Cool, glad it worked for you. I really wish I knew what happened though, it's kind of bugging me.

Well I'll add this... Out of curiosity I removed the vibrate tools app and everything is still operating as designed. So whatever that app turned on has stuck.
Please help. My notification light is continuously blinking blue and green. I have no new notifications. List is clear.
I have rebooted several times, gone to ART and then back to dalvik and turned led notification on and off several times. I'm stumped
Mine doesn't work at all so you're 1 up on me. Or maybe not? Mine blinks blue when waking it up. That's it. I figure it's just flaky.
Well I ended up flashing stock firmware and its back to normal.
So it blinks with notifications? Mine isn't rooted but I'm not running the stock mms or email so that's probably why. Always worked on other phones though.
Funny thing is that first G3 had led notifications but they were very slow, I used a 3rd party app to speed them up.
My replacement G3 seems to be working as I expect, ie. text message has the led blinking once every second or so.
I think I'll wait a little while but I think it's my third party stuff that hasn't been updated to work with the phone.
I'm using handcent with no trouble.
Every thing is working as it should. Must have been a weird glitch.
I'll try it. I've used it before and it's ok.

Hello,
Last night I RUU my phone and restored things from Google backup as normal, however I know don't see numbers on the notification badges for SMS it is just a green dot.
Have tried turning it on and off wipe cache etc nothing seems to fix this. So hoping anyone got some more ideas what to try, its a bit weird as I believe it is just suppose to work for HTC apps.
Any way I guess I can RUU it again tonight see what happens then.
