Doom dont go boom - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

HEllo all,
I have just copied my whole PPC Doom folder to my HD2.
I have BARE .exe's from way back all promising to give us a better way to play doom lol...
Pocket Doom
Celldoom
GFdoom
MyDoom
None of these will work properly with my device.
I remember one of these had Skin support with on screen controls which would be prefect for our device with a bit of multi input stephanie....
I am wondering if anyone else has had any luck with this on their Leo?
Or any plans to help us play.
I have memories of.......was it Dutty's doom - no no it was dutty's quake! Way back when, lol I completed single player quake 1 on my MDA compact - then I used to play against my PC and laptop from the phone over wifi.....all that time ago.....
4-5 years! Wowa.... Now I have proper GL support but no way to play quake or doom

Games and a nes emulator for my tilt

i'm trying to find some cool (and preferably free) games for my phone. does anyone know of a site or some hacks or something for me? i'd also love to have an emulator for my phone too. i downloaded one but i'm not sure where to get games from or even how to actually work it lol ANY HELP IS MUCH APPRECIATED!!! thanks in advance...
Same here.....
pocketnester works great on the phone. I doubt you are going to get anyone to post about ROMs as thats considered warez. try google or web sites that normally have that stuff.
I don't know if Nintendo will get angry if you download their 15 years old nes games, but you can get them at every torrent site there is... But officialy they're illegal, so i don't give you the url's to websites where you can find them.
If you need more info, PM me.
Which keys do you guys use for your nintendo emulator? I've found it difficult to decide which keys to use for the up/down/left/right control...
did u try google-ing pocketsnes, that what i did, idont know how to add files so that i can put it on here do you have an email i can just send u mine or i can put it on here, how though?
fpsece
has anyone else played with fpsece? the playstation emulator. I've got some games playing flawlessly no frame skip others with a frame skip rate of 2 WITH SOUND and obviously missing video drivers and no overclocker. some games I haven't got to work (i own the games). a list would be cool. also if a programer wanted to step in and put their name in the limelight I know where someone could find a almost completed N64 ppc emulator made by the same maker of the pocketsnes. ----- ps also the mods should move this from the upgrading section as the discussion is on software----
fpsece freeware (i donated tho)

PocketGBA on Touch Pro

i download PocketGBA.cab and copy it to my storage memory..
when I try to install it, it says installation of pocketgba_rel060723.cab was unsuccessful...
i dont undestand why, when in a htc touch of a friend its run flawless..!!
anyone help please??
Go to the webpage for PocketGBA, I installed it following their instructions and it worked just fine. You need to get the CAB that comes with FMOD.
which page is it?? can u send it please.. thx
I think he is referring to the file called "Direct Installation" on this page:
http://sunbug.net/products/view/141
It's not a CAB file, but it's a zip file with the FMOD dll included. It works on my TP, but I can't really control anything because the directional pad on the TP doesn't work for crap, and I can't play vertically with the keyboard either because the screen rotates in the wrong direction.
Is anyone able to actually play PocketGBA on their TP? If so how?
bump i have the same issue. does anyone have a well working gba emulator?
Bump
Also looking for a rock solid GBA emulator.
man this really blows some of my fav games cant be played on gba emulator just because of the full screen orientation. Many others also fail like 10 min into the game when i open shop or enter a battle sequence. the only one i have found that works decently is golden something 2 but i runs slow I wish someone with the know how could just update pocket gba
i have no issues with pocketgba..ive been playing through final fantasy VI advance and it runs alot better than my tilt did (even tho pocketgba STOPPED working after wm6.1 came out and it just would crash when a game was loaded) and i havent had ANY crashes on my fuze...
pocketGBA works for some games, but some other games get only 5fps even with sound off.
Super Mario world and Pokemon FireRed are two such examples.
Im not sure if this topic is even alive, but to all of you who tried the cab and it failed...Download this its a standalone version of it http://www.1800pocketpc.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/pocketgba.zip
Its alive, thanks for the contribution. now people without a pc hookup can play too.
well are there any gba emulators that handles in playing in landscape mode?.. well as for configuration of the hardware keys we could use an app called KforRaphael.. it doesnt keymap but it's a workaround.. well predefined keymap... well do anyone know of any landscape mode gba emulators or is that something we have to wait for?
from what i've seen all the emu projects except for ps1 are dead... it makes me sad
Please help, I cannot get any game emulators to work on my FUZE.
Actually, I play using the d-pad... but if you really wanna another emulator, try morphgear. I hear it has on screen buttons...

[SKIN] Special Pad for SNES Multipad Morphgear

Hello! I've changed this skin:
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=489147
for my wife She is playing Chrono Trigger and she couldn't catch THE RAT
Coursors are made as n+b w+b e+b +s+b so you can run all the time! There is NO COMBINATED BUTTONS (for example N+W). For menu there are other small buttons on right side. Everything works perfect for me & my wife
I'm sorry, but it seems that everything regarding morphgear, is pretty dead right now
Do you know any better solution for playing SNES roms on HTC HD2?

Not really, but a quick google search seems to reveal quite a bit of opportunities
http://www.google.dk/search?rlz=1C1...hrome&ie=UTF-8&q=snes+emulator+windows+mobile
in your opinion what is wrong with morphgear? I've search google to find the best option for my brand new Leo and Morphgear seens to be quite good Is there any better program that was directly write for HD2 or customized for HD2? You seems to be smart and advanced in Leo applications? I've also tried to run Chrono Trigger on FPSECE 0.10 (3 various ROMS) but it doesn't start ;/

In my opinion there is nothing wrong with MorphGear I like it and use it quite a bit (Primarily for mario, I gave up on chrono trigger when I lost around 4-6 hours of playtime, because I forgot to back it up...) I dont know what else there is on the market, regarding SNES emulators, and the link I provided was the deepest I've gone to find one Also as far as i know, MorphGear is the only SNES emulator (and gba, gbc, genesis and so on) that have been customized especially to the HD2.
The reason why you can't play Chrono Trigger on FPSECE, is because Chrono Trigger is a game for SNES, while FPSECE is a Playstation 1 emulator, which means that it only supports games that was created for Playstation 1 (GT2, Crash Bandicoot 3, etc.)
last but not least, Thank you

Offcors I've tried ROMS for PSX - I know that SNES will never work on FPSECE. I don't know is this importent but Chrono Trigger psx ROM is in NTHC or somethig It should be on PAL I think.

well you will need to find a ROM that has the right region formating (pal etc), at least i think so I actually dont know which you have to use, but I could imagine, that it depends on which bios you have downloaded for FPSECE

Quake 3 Arena CAB and other CAB file

Hi,
I have a HTC Touch Pro and am an avid gamer. I searched for the cab files for famous games but could not find any . Since you guys are the experts I would very much appreciate if someone could give me the cab files for the full version of the following games:
Quake 3 Arena
Doom
Diablo
Brain challenge and the
Bubble wrap game.
Hoping to get a positive response.
Thanks a lot.
Moonie
Maybe you would get a more positive response if you posted in the right area!
Quake 3 Arena CE
Doom CE
Pocket Diablo
BubbleWrap
Brain Challenge is payware, you have to buy it!
alrighty
I'm assuming you have legal copies of said software. Ive seen a few different versions of ID games ported to windows CE all came with the freeware demo files and just required you copying your legitimate files over the freeware levels.
also los of times a 1st person shooter can be a pain to play on a cell but still loading quake/doom etc to impress the ladies is still cool.
quake
http://code.google.com/p/q3ce/
I had this working on a Kaiser. the only issue was some of the game skins would disappear but it was sorta playable.
doom
not sure which one works but give em a try
http://www.modaco.com/content/smartphone-software-games/271516/doom-for-wm6-blackjack-ii/#entry910663
I had 1 of these working on a blackjackII I know that atleast one of them supported touchscreen devices.
heres a link to doom2 rpg put out by EA $9.99
http://store.handmark.com/p/161032/HM-Desk/Doom-2-RPG-for-Windows-Mobile-Pocket-PC/
as for diablo you might try running it on a dos emu but itll be hell trying to read what the drop items are http://www.pocketdos.com/
Also MS actually ported AOE to PPC so it actually plays well on most devices and is cheap to buy
http://www.pdagameguide.com/age-of-empires.html
lots of nes, snes, sega mame emus out there as well.http://www.pdagameguide.com/pocket-pc-emulators.html
later hope this helps.
Moved as not software release.
Thanks
You guys are really experts. Thanks a load.

Any "Doom" app?

Hi!
I would like to play Doom and all its sequels in my Xplay. I had C2Doom in my old Nokia N81 but now with Android I don't find any good app...
I just found this one: https://market.android.com/details?id=com.xianle.doomtnt&feature=search_result but don't know if there's any better app...
Any idea? Thanks.
What abaut the emulators? Arnt there doom games for Snes, n64 and ps1?
I downloaded doom the other day and it plays pretty well on the xplay.
The only issue is that you cant set controls within the game, I tried and had to remove the doom folder to reset all settings, circle exits game and if you press it you cant cancel. X and Square do the same thing. So if i set X to shoot Square will also shoot.
I use Dpad to move, Sholders to look left/right, X/Square to shoot, Triangle to swap weapons, select to view map, start to open doors/confirm.
The download only comes with Doom Shareware but you can play full versions of Doom1, Doom2, TNT and plutonia by putting one of the game files in the doom folder on your sd card.

I had tried that app and I would say that a emulated game of Doom and Final Doom and using FPSE was a much more enjoyable and better way to play
