Veoh for WM 6.5.x? - General Questions and Answers

Is there an app that plays videos on video for WM 6.5.x?
FlashVideoBundle doesn't work anymore.
I haven't found an application that works.
I have searched.
Does anyone know a method to play veoh videos?

Can anyone help?

Veoh for Windows Mobile
I dont know of any app that supports veoh. I currently use the skyfire browser to run veoh.com .. But there are some flaws using that browser because it times out from time to time. So you will have a bit of a hard time getting use to it.
It would be better if there was an app. So if anyone know of any Veoh App's for windows mobile please speak up.

Moved as not software release.

Anyones youtube app working?
Not loading popular, featured, cant search.
Or just me?
Access the internet using PIE (not Opera). Minimize (keep it running), then rerun YouTube.
I had a similar problem after flashing a cooked ROM. Youtube app installed but just sits at "Connecting" when trying to view a video. Installed Irus' youtube fix cab file and now it works great.
Thanks Irus for the fix! Wish I knew what you did you actually fix it.
Youtube not working
My issue is somewhat different so here it is. My friend has an iPhone we both went to the same website "www.bodyguardz.com" and clicked on the link to play the Youtube video of a television station's test of of the bodyguardz protector. The iPhone plays the clip my Fuze does not. Just a blank area where the video should be.
I tried this fix
http://www.modaco.com/content/rapha...app-is-installed-functional-on-the-at-t-fuze/
for the problem but it still does not work. To me it seems as though WM6 does not have a file association for Youtube. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Youtube App

Hello guys.
Have any of you had problems trying to view coreplayer youtube?
Apparently it is a problem so us TG01 Cannot view youtube because we are running an outdated version of coreplayer.
We will not be receiving an update therefore we cannot view youtube through coreplayer.
So i have tried downloading and installing various youtube applications, but none of them seem to support TG01 WVGA display coming out blurry.
I have tried: Google Youtube (blurry), HTC Youtube App (unable to play videos), YoutubePlay (blurry)
Can anyone suggest a good free youtube app (cab) that is fully functional and supports its screen resolution. I cannot find one!
(pleased do not suggest flash browsers i.e skyfire i have tried them and not impressed would prefer a built application.)
Thank you much apprieciated,
Oliver
KINOMA player work perfect, with seach engine very nice. is amazing!!!
sorry not the answer you're looking for, but INHO the latest version of the google app is pretty decent...
you could also try opera 10 as this now supports youtube or skyfire (which is my new best friend as far as flash based sites go)
or you could buy the latest coreplayer (no, i wouldn't either)
lemme know if you need me to post any cabs, i have all i mention above (bar the paid version of coreplayer)
cheers

Re Core Player - I already had the paid Core Player from previous devices and can confirm taht the latest edition works fine, while the one that was included in the TG01 ROM doesn't - it was one key bug they sorted in the last update.

I agree with you, i am not willing to pay to upgrade my coreplayer version. i already had opera mobile 10 as my default browser, but am not to keen on watching youtube on that.
as my first post stated, i have also used skyfire aswell, but i wouldpprefer to view youtube through a built in application rather than a flash browser.
I have also just tried the latest google youtube app. still no screen resolution fix...
any other suggestions?
thanks for your help,
Oliver

I use Youtubeplay with success on TG01. My version is v1.0.0.11
http://tinyurl.com/youtubeplay
You can even download videos as FLV with it.
You say that videos are blurry. In fact some few videos are blurry but most of them are OK, I think that it depends of the source, not the player...
Greetings from BCN
i agree with olly, i've got the exact same problem. Ibelieve what he is asking for is an app called WVD which no longer works, it capabilities of viewing youtube vidz in 3gp, flv and mp4, and allowed you to download all videos. it was extremely fast aswel.
anyone know of a similar app or good substitube for WVD?
Hey brian,
In arag0ns manilla rom, he includes a working htc youtube app. If you are not looking to flash a new rom, perhaps you could contqct him and ask him if he could kindly provide us with a cab of A working HTC Youtoube.
htc manilla youtube app that can be found in aragon's roms isnt bad ... but it doesnt support Accounts !! so u have no idea if u got any new subbed videos
best thing rite now is m.youtube.com , and trust me i know it was ****ty last time u checked it , opening a stupid player app , but theyve stepped up their game and have account management , Flash player embedded , not the best quality but its lightweight and responsive .

Adobe Flashplayer for Windows Mobile 6.5?

Okay I know that I am a idiot here...but Is there a flash player that actually works on HTC Pure windows mobile 6.5...
Try this browser:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=686879
i got one more question...When I am watching youtube with that browser It lags and I don`t even hear a sound and the video is slow rendering..what could be the problem? I have a HTC Pure
I don't know. I have sound, while watching youtube videos.
So...is there a player for it? so I can watch youtube better? TCMP? Cause directly from the browser it lags...alot
Sorry, I have the same problem. I have sound, only when a message appears, which said: "Video detected" and asks you for playing it.
You can watch (only) youtube videos with this:

[Q] Youtube in browser asking flash help!

Hi all!
I'm new to the Wp7 world and i'm very liking it
On my device I've got android before (hd2), and now Wp7, my question is about Youtube videos:
in pre-noDo update (I tested it like 4 months ago) I was able to watch youtube videos in browser, simply using the Microsoft youtube app, and setting my region in USA;
Now with NoDo, even using the USA location and region, and installed youtube app...Youtube videos embeded asks for flash (pre-Nodo will show a play button that calls the youtube app)
How can I fix this?
I searched already, all fixes refers to pre-NoDo OS and the only fix found is to set my region to USA (wich I already did)...
Any suggestions?
On a native Wp7 noDo device, is this happening??
Thanks a lot!
up! :-(
No solution? D:
Did you try LazyTube App?
as client app I use lazytube in fact
but in browser, if there is and embeded video, it asks for flash and not for the client :-(
Make sure to set IE to mobile view.
Desktop view = flash
Mobile view = H.264 (via YouTube plugin)
yea cheked it, but i'm always in mobile view :-(
thx anyway!

That has nothing to do with it, I have my set for desktop version, and it automatically loads the MS YT app
Have you tried reinstalling it?
yes...
I'll try to do a factory/reset and retry!
Thx! I'll let you know!
Well, here my phone just asked to install the official YouTube app from the Marketplace and it's done!

youtube mobile html5

Hello, YouTube has a new HTML5 mobile version, ios and Android can use it by connecting to m.youtube.com, but if I connect to that link I access the old version, why?
can i use this new version?
i've mango and ie9 with html5 support
I think that when u connect to YouTube that it checks your OS as well as your browser and, seeing wp7, it loads a mobile site.

That's a problem on YouTube's end, because IE9 Mobile is for YouTube an "unknown" browser and doesn't recognize the user agent, so you're being redirected to the standard mobile page. Microsoft is working with YouTube to get this fixed.
Is there any way to change the user agent? Maybe possible to make an app for that? So the websites would think we're using mobile Safari...

Go to http://www.youtube.com.
If Internet Explorer is set to prefer a mobile version, then switch YouTube to Desktop version (there is a link on the very bottom).
Go to http://www.youtube.com/html5 and turn HTML5 on.

Not all videos are HTML5 enabled, like the ones with ads.
I've tried and it works, but the mobile version is more usable than the desktop version..
ah cool! Got it...although i think i still prefer supertube
HTML 5 BBC iPlayer site for iPhone
Related to all this (and potentially more useful since we have decent YouTube clients anyway) -
Has anyone worked out how to get to the HTML5 version of BBC iPlayer? Now THAT would be brilliant...
Stopped working
Hi all
I had this working until last night when, without me doing anything m.youtube.com has simply stopped playing videos. The website works but when I select "Play Video" or click on the thumbnail it doesn't do anything. When I select "copy link" and paste it into the address bar it has a 3gp extension and I get a message saying: "internet explorer does not recognise this type of address and cannot display the page." Does anybody know how to get it working again?
I have opted into the HTML5 trial on the m.youtube.com site.
Cheers

Hi kearnychan
Yes, I can download one of many clients, but previously if I wanted to view an embedded youtube video on pocketnow.com, wpcentral.com or wmpu.com, I could just do so through the web page. Now, all I get is a message about Adobe Flash or taken straight to a Youtube page which asks me to opt into a HTML5 trial, which I have already opted into.
It isn't much fun to have to load a separate app, then search for the video you were trying to watch on a website, especially when I could do that a couple of days ago.
Any suggestions anybody?
Cheers
