i am running rom 161 with the std setup, i have tried to use copilot but when i use the trial or i use the product key i have bought , it just starts to run slow and then locks the phone up and never runs again , been onto copilot support what a waste of time still not able to use it tried hard reset, tried new sd card still no joy really getting Peeded off now any ideas anyone copilot have said they dont have a clue GREAT , but they wont refund me
try to upgrade to lastest rom or hard reset... i dont use it myself but ive seen ppl using it without any problems so it must be something wrong on your side
I am using the Energy ROM from feb. 10th and I do not have any problems with Copilot, all is running smooth and well.
I have used it with many of the cooked roms and also with the 1.48 stock rom, haven't had any problems yet.
+1 for everything running smooth, it even runs great with pinch to zoom from bsb tweaks.
try flashing a stock rom then flashing to the custom rom you are running.
i'm using the new l26 ROM and i spent yesterday completely upgrading my copilot version and the maps and it runs very very smooth on my telstra hd2 (currently in use in the USA)
mines smooth
i bought my CoPilot ver.8 and installed it on my HD2 with Dutttys latest rom. Mine is running perfect with no issues whatsoever. Using USA maps if that matters.
I was told by copilot support, that with a custom rom the
- pinch to zoom function
- the Navi Panel function
- the direct access to the phonebook
will not work.
Can you confirm that?

These results are with copilot live v8 installed on duttys rom:
1 - Pinch to zoom does not work however you can still use the + and - to zoom in and out
2 - what is the navi panel?
3 - (Direct access to phone book) When i try it, the contacts that i have an address associated with it does show and works. it does not show contacts that do not have addresses associated with them

point 3 is the most important one. I don´t like to type adresses all the time.
So it´s good to hear, that it´s possible to navigate to a adress out of the phone book.
The navi panal should allow access to phone funktions out of CoPilot.

Yea, It def works. Also, If you only have the city listed in the contact information you can choose to go to the center of the town or type in the address with the city info already populated.
Meanwhile I tried a CoPilot cab, but so far isn´t working.

I am a newbee in this matter.
What I found so far is:
flashing a new ROM deletes everything on a mobile phone.
I had flashed ! SSPL ! from stock 1.48 to Artemis 3.5
Than back to 1.48 and to Artemis 3.7
The problem could be, if you already have used CoPilot, there will be informations also stored on the SD card. Or you changed the name of your phone.
But I am not sure!

It wont be much good sending you a code as it would deactivate the running copy.
I have been having the same trouble with my copy as it worked well from the start after buying my HD2 from O2UK. I then tried to install further maps as I hope to travel to USA later in the year. On contacting Co Pilot I was informed I would have to uninstall the HD2 version loosing the pinch to zoom feature. Then reinstall from scratch to be able to get the maps to work But they are looking at adding the pinch feature to other regions in the future ( SO THEY SAY!!!! )
So I gave up and will take my faithful old XDA Orbit 2 with all my mapping already installed from last year.

Preliminary Review:

It is a PPCtuning.org ROM. It seems it is pretty fast with total commander, OMAP clock, Screen Off, keyboard fix, Simple plain fast ROM.
BTW: it is in the same place as the PDAviet4
look for that thread and you shall find it.

Yesssss! it was the overclocking... i set my speed back to 195 and camera works perfect!
Radio is included (2.47) and now I have to upgrade to 2.61 again.
First impressions - rom very good.
Missing some apps to be perfect (battery status, wm5 new menudryar-bluetooth, oxios memory).
It's based on orwell rom so there's no start menu sound fix included, voice command fix too.
This morning installed this underground edition..
after latest Molski, faria 3.3 V1, V2 and PDAVIETV4; this is the best one yet for me...
This one is smoother, faster and has evertything in it i want (mindlet also incluided; you have to install it afterwards from the install folder)
so if it stays this stable this is a winner.... and it looks like it.

I've tried most ROMs on my wizzard, just hope this one is smooth enough for daily use. Faria's last release spoiled me....

This ROM is VERY good. I had been using Faria's latest on my phones but this is slightly better. Voice Command is in rom but needed the BT fix from another thread to amke the headset work right. A few tiny tweaks but 99% of my software is in and working great! It is fast and there is tons of memory.
The only thing I have not been able to overcome is lack of midi support. All my old .mid ringtones will not work at all. WM player will not play them anymore. From reading on the web I guess it's actually been up to device oems to include midi support even with WM5 but this rom does not have it. Perhaps a later one will. For now it's not big deal and I am moving on with this rom. Good Stuff!
I decided to unlock my tilt and put a different ROM on it to make it faster.
But I need some help here.
1st - I just backed up my device using the PPCPimBackup.exe program
2nd - I am about to unlock my tilt with HardSPLv1.
After that procedure what ROM version does everyone suggest for the Tilt?

i'm using austinsync's big storage rom found here (the one under "Breaking News") and so far it works the best for me. i have an at&t tilt, did the same thing you're about to do/did and started with the htc ship rom. the htc rom was a large improvement from the at&t rom and out of curiousity rather than need i flashed all of the cooked rom variants floating around. helmi_c rom's are good but i found the tilt variant made my device sluggish. i haven't done any objective analysis but on my device any rom with ptt (push-to-talk: not-free, at&t wireless feature/add-on) i experience severe device lag. currently i'm running austinsync's big storage rom.

again, personally running austinsync's rom right now and looking at your list i can say this rom (austinsync's) fits all of your requirements except a registry editor but that's something you'll have to download on your own regardless; most rom's will not include a registry editor.

i don't know what settings might be correct for your specific account but most, if not all, of the cooked roms have a program called "Connection Setup" that will automatically install your setting settings based on your SIM/Network. the program runs after initial flash and you have to do is select "ok" or "yes" when prompted whether or not you want "Connection Setup" to automatically install your settings. i can't remember but the rom i'm running now does not have "Connection Setup" automatically run upon start-up. the program is installed just not set to automatically run, austinsync can correct me if i'm wrong. personally i like entering my settings manually or else via a cab i created but to each his own.

-hold down the camera-button and the power-button simultaneously.
-stick stylus into the reset button-thingy
kind of tricky with the camera and power button on the same side but you'll see four horizontal bars colored red-green-blue-white from top to bottom when you do it right.
look to see that your SPL matches the following (the KAIS and CPLD are quasi-irrelevant):

SPL-1.0.OliPof
CPLD
if it matches, you can flash any of the Kaiser ROMS. if not, repeat by starting over and re-install Hard-SPL.

I must say I have been pretty impressed the way this forum has been run by you fellas. I get to learn a lot of things in these pages.
I have installed the new Windows Phone 6.5. Below is the link to it.

All the credit goes to MietasSR who ported this ROM to the Tornado.
I think the ROM is quite stable and is safely usable. I really loved the Zune interface ( a.k.a Sliding Panel Interface ) and so I am glad now . It is still faster than any of the Standard ROMs I tried on my device but a bit slower than the excellent Kamikadze's RC7 WinMo 6.1
NOTE:There is no camera app in this. As it is unnecessary for me, I don't care. And for those who don't know how to unlock, just press the Home key for long until you get a cursor and then use it to unlock. You can return to the classic style of unlocking ( left soft key and 0 ) by going to Settings>Lock>Display and choosing the Windows Classic option.URL

True. This needs improvement. The work was incomplete and the "chef" MietasSR clearly specified that. its working satisfactorily for most uses. I hope anyone else could continue the excellent work that he started. I am willing to learn and do it too, just need the packages so that I can cook a new ROM. I hope I can find the details through Google and anyways this forum is of great help too. I didn't observe the signals problem you referred to.

I opened a new thread as I wanted other people to know that there is already a working 6.5 ROM for Tornado. The link to it was buried in a thread which had a discussion about porting 6.5 to Tornado and multiple requests for the same. Normally there is a new thread for a new ROM and wherein users can post queries, comments and suggestions.

Try removing the storage card and putting back again. I too faced this problem then I figured out it was because of loose connections. Just make sure that the card sits properly in the depression and lock it in properly before putting the battery.

It is Professional.
This version is of an earlier build and misses on a few areas.
Look for MeitasSR's 23016 build 6.5 ROM in this forum.

You will have to search in the underground... Extracting the software and offering it as a cab is clearly not wanted by the creators and owners of the software. Offering links to warez is completely against xda rules.
The difference between the 2 might be some more language support, and that the HD2 version was made for HD2, as simple as that. I think it still might be an option to flash a ROM which carries it on board - or, at least, as long as this is tolerated.
Maybe in the close future, HTC will bring another ROM update which offers this great piece of software. Or, as stated otherwise, Swype might decide to make a retail offer at some time. If they do at a decent price, I believe they could do great business - as seen with other products, at unreasonably high prices, you won´t sell big, but at fair pricing, you can succeed.

I had the same thing, only installed yesterday so didn't do much checking of the phone. Quite a few problem were caused by the T-Mobile version . Data connection is screwed and all email passwords needed to be reset and my Wifi password are also gone lol. Did some reading online as well and quite a few other people have experienced the same problems, some have even had to HARD RESET to get their phones working correctly, fortunetly for me just uninstalling the CAB and giving the phone a few minutes resolved my Data connection issues , will put back on the Omnia version and leave it at that for the time being.
So I advice using the newest version of Swype with EXTREME caution!!!!
I tried it after much hesitation... Had to do a new setup for all email accounts, data connection and wifi connection. But it seems to be fine now, I'll see in a few days if it stays like that.

Had the same, but all I had to do was re-enter the passwords (and mail servers for gmail) and re-run the connection setup wizard. Now I'm fine and dandy and the software is nothing short of awesome... Supports Italian, German, French, English and Spanish; I tested all languages and it works fine
I'd say it is a crucial addition to the HD2, as I use it every day, and it makes my text input much less of a chore. It is particularly useful because of its multi-language support. I've never had any problems like those described, thankfully.
have you guys done any soft resets since the initial reset after installation? I also found the keyboard became slow to start after I played with the setting. the omnia 2 version is working better for me and with the htc skin looks awesome.

when you overwrite the modelid, all exchange accounts - gone (sorta). Your 4 digit pin become a lockout - no pin will unlock it.
in short, bad things happen.
And this is why you always provision your phone before you set it up. part of provisioning is setting the modelid...
which is why people on mighty that forgot to provision before seting up exchange need that fix e-mails cab...

leepriestenator is correct. Thanks. As our phones are all unlock where we are, the problem is just resetting the mobile provider. It is working fine on my phone, though the phone identity is now T-mobile_Leo.
Having said that, it is a much improved version over the one in Samsung.

I have a sim card from NRJ Mobile operator wich was not recognized by my Treo original 6.1 (reboot all the time). With your rom my NRJ sim cards still works now, just have to config data info for mail and web testing. Its my TREO PRO's revival...

your welcome can you scroll in the contacts menu and see if the contacts become blurry. this an issue in most 21xxx builds
I ave no probleme with contact, no blur even in scroll. Its the classic windows list, with small picture on right.
Windows live don't connect, even in wifi. I have reinstall from Market, enter login and password, click next, waiting and return to home. I have put Explorer as default browser, no change... will test later another account. Messenger and hotmail email account don't work, even in home. MSN Meteo and Myphone works with the same account.
Installing other appli (Market, France 24 : TV online, Bluetooth Headphone) it works.
I have not see another problem, except capslock on physical keyboard (2 click on caps to make lock normally don't work. Its not a problem, there is screen keayboard. All another key of my AZERTY keyboard works fine.
What is Perfman application for ? Can this ap help you with log ?
In the same time I test your ROM, I discover WP 6.5... You have done very good job, thanks again. If you have another test or question i will help you.
Calculator don't work : error message in french, I "translate" :
"Mobilecalculator not signed with confiace certificat or one composant is missing. Try reinstall or restore"
Camera don't work : error message in french, I "translate" :
"can't initialise camera. failure device configuration"
Gmail email and pop account can be create, another hotmail account doesn't works.

thanks for the report in the next build i will cook windows live its a problem in every 6.5 Rom i forgot to add it but it should work when you download it from Marketplace maybe I didn't include a important package that uses Windows live. I also forgot to add the package that fixes the capslock issue. I never used Perfman but I think it is performance monitoring I'm not sure if i am correct. I am going to start building a new version of this Rom that fixes the Issues
I have seen in other post during my search that Live need to be reinstall from market. I do it, uninstal from market, reinstall and dont work.
After enter login and click next, windows "color ball" turning 1 sec and the phone return to home page.

created anew version of the ROM maybe this will fix the issues http://www.4shared.com/file/G4vMh1Hk/65_build_21896.html
Update: i installed the English version of this Rom and it looks like its a bad build because most of the apps are not working like reboot and home screen cutomizer

Caps lock is ok.
WLive, camera, hotmail account for email and messenger don't work.
Perhaps make a rom without Wlive, people in france will install themselve.

I am going to make a 21884 Rom which Has 21896 French SYS files because the 21896 is missing some files like calculator

didn't work the kitchen kept crashing if i built it. Now i will try to cook build 28230 in french

All seems to work exept Windows Live. No matter for me, don't need to chat with MSN
Sync with Myphone works its essential.

I removed windows live and other packages like voip sync with bluetooth watch and etc... because 28230 build is too big for Treo Pro so I had to get rid of some useless things. Windows live didnt work even if i add the package you would still have to go to marketplace and install it so i just got rid of it. Also one other problem is that there is some English still in the build.
Just to let you Know I haven't given up making a ROM for French language the hard part is that I am not able to find any working 6.5 Builds for Treo Pro in French I can Make a French 21054 6.1 Build for you while I try to find a way to build a working 6.5 Sorry again for the delay i feel so bad that im not able to make a ROM for you in French
Lost radio
I used your Build_28230 Rom from couple of day and everything was fine.
Sudenly, today, I've lost radio. Don't know why... I reinsatll rom and nothing change.
I have to reinstall a english rom (build 21857.5.0.66) to have radio. I tryed to reinstall your 6.5_Build_28230_French_Alpha rom after but no radio where find...
If you have a French 21054 6.1 Rom wich working i will be happy to get it.

hmm thats weird here is build 6.1 21054 I think it will be more stable then the other Roms i have built an I like this Rom a little bit more then the Stock Rom Download Here
