[IDEA] Incoming call as PopUp - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

hello,
is it possible to make a mod for incoming dealer as a popup function like palm pre?
when i'm working with word or excel and haven't time to talk with someone or i don't wanna block the dealer, this function will be pretty cool.
its a simple thing but this can be very comfortable i guess
thnx

Magicall 2.2 ?
First or all...in my opinion, hitting the ignore is just ask quick as acknowledging a a pop up window but we all have our preferences.
There's a software called Magicall by Mobilion that will block the call from ringing but still show that a call was made via system notification (pop up window). You can set it to notify you in what ever way you like (window, light, etc) You can set it for specific numbers, all, numbers from difference outlook categories, etc. I find it useful when at work and only want very important contacts to come through and all the rest gets sent straight to voicemail automatically.
Hope that helps. Hope that's what you are looking for.

people complained for years about the little popup window for incoming calls..
then as soon as we get a great incoming caller window you want the old system back..
try build a rom without the HTC dialer.. I've not tried the MS one for a while but It may do what you want.

hi guys,
thx for your post's
i'll try both and hope that will helped me

voice mail reminder / icon makes me crazy...

hello at all,
my the voice mail reminder makes me crazy too after i played a little bit with hushsms.. i sent me a message with that tool and now i see always the voice mail reminder in the task bar and every time i start the phone it rings for that...
trying to make a call to my voice mail and delete it makes no change... damn it really sucks - will never touch any software i dont know what it is
i now have a new rom on my device... and the message appears again AHHHHHH
what's wrong? I have really no idea...
thanks for any tips and helps...!!!
Is it the only notification, or are others grouped under it?
Also, look in the registry to see if gives a voicemail count.
Hello TheChampJT,
thanks furst for your answer...
It should be the only one. I can push "dismiss" (the message and the icon still are there) or "call" (then i will be redirected to my mailbox... but there are no messages saved).
Could yoou please write down where to look in the registry?
Thanks a lot!
hmmmm... someone else has an idea?!

Messaging settings - can't find them

I installed the new official 6.1 ROM from HTC on my Touch Cruise. I is working gread, but there is one VERY annoying feature that I want to get rid off, but I can't find a way.
It is that foolish manner of showing the SMS messages as some kind of chat conversation. How can I get rid of that ? I want to use the old fashioned way of SMS being just an SMS, not a chat conversation.
Search the forum for the registry entry to turn off threaded SMS.
I have seen this new feature on the new ROM and I thought it was cool at first. It's starting to annoy me a little bit, so we'll have to see whether or not I get that annoyed I have to turn threaded SMS off.
yeah some parts are a bit annoying. like viewing the timestamp of a text was sent a couple of days ago. haven't quite figured that one yet. the other thing is the performance hit with threaded sms, as well as when the keyboard pops up combined with the area to write in, not much space is left to see the previous message anyways. maybe i should turn it off....haha...

I take this back. It's pretty annoying now!
After digging about, I found this superb fix in a .cab file:

U cud use Mod SMS V 2.0
Maybe you could use this:

Also an part of changeable settings in Schap's Advanced Config Tool (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=317070&highlight=Schap%27s+Advanced+Config)

Automated text-back to calls??

This isn't really Raphael specific but I was in a meeting today and got a call and wondered if there was any kind of program to auto-reply a caller with a text saying something like "Meeting" or whatever.
Its halfway there with the send text option on the incoming call screen and would resemble away messages on an instant messenger. If its out there has anyone heard of it? Possible for someone to tackle it and try to develop something? Might be neat
I thought that was already in the dialer? I remember seeing an option in my Fuze (before ROM Flash) about sending a text back to people who called stating you are busy orsomething. I think it was editable so you can have it say what you want.
There are some apps out there though that do just that.

This one is from 2005 but there were some new ones recently. Just can't remember their names.
theres definitely something buried in the settings for this.
i believe i was changing ring tones and noticed it...
it's for when you reject a call it will send a text which you can edit
perhaps:
start > settings > phone > advanced
is what your looking for?
never tried it to see if it actually works tho.
MagiCall from Mobiion does just that.

yep right there theres an option to enable the reply text
But when you press "reply with SMS", it takes you to SMS edit, wher eyou have to press send again. IT's really slow when some's ringing. I would prefer it sent the predefined text directly.

[Q] New to the Captivate, text message help

Hey guys,
As the title says, I'm brand new to the Captivate.
When I'm having conversations over text message, is there any way to make the incoming texts appear on my screen in the order in which I receive them? Right now all of my typed messages appear at the bottom of my screen, and if I receive a text I have to scroll all the way to the top to view it.
For example:
Friend: Test
Me: Response
Friend: Test
Me: Response
If messages were typed in this order, it currently appears like this on my phone:
Friend: Test
Friend: Test
Me: Response
Me: Response
Is there any way to change that? I love everything about this phone, but it's getting obnoxious having to scroll up 10 or 15 texts every time I receive a new one from somebody. Thanks in advance.
Honestly, the simplest fix is to use handcent or another third party messaging app.
Edit...I see you are brand new to the captivate.....you heard of the inspire? Might want to give it a thought.
Hmmm... It's certainly not supposed to be like that. My phone always showed the messages in the order I received them, so something is wrong and I couldn't find anything in the settings to change it. You might want to try Handcent from the market, there's a free version and it is EXTREMELY customizable. I mean, it's down right ridiculous how much you can customize every aspect of your SMS and MMS using it. Maybe that'll be a simple fix for your messages not appearing in order. If you decide to go with Handcent, make sure you turn notifications off in the stock messaging app or else you'll get two separate notifications each time you get a text, which gets annoying pretty quickly.
EDIT: I guess I type too slow, newter beat me to the punch
I get the a very similar (or even same) thing running Cog or stock. What I have noticed....this only occurs if your reply has the same time stamp as the received message i.e. if you receive a message at 9:46pm and reply to it within the same minute (in relation to your phone's time), also 9:46pm, your message will show out of order.
Hmm....now that I look over my messages...I have a MILD theory...
Messages are organized in chronological order, but the time stamps do not include seconds, only down to the minute. Afterwards, the system has to organize by something....so it goes to Name. My first guess would be if the message is sent from someone with name that comes before "Me" alphabetically, their message (send at the same minute) would appear first, and vice versa if their name is after "Me." Errr.....maybe it is by phone number, not name.......errrr....damn, that doesn't hold up 100% either now that I have looked even harder.....jeez.....only 1 message might jump up?
eh, I've just learned to live with it. Can't be too picky. Every phone has its little quirks. Just depends on which ones you want to deal with
I had the smell issue with either stock or handcent messaging apps. The problem to me was the time in my region being sent by the cell towers was off by about 70 seconds. When I would travel to another region of the country, I didn't have a problem.
I solved it with a program from the market called ClockSync (though I'm sure there are others) which sets the correct time on my phone.

Annoying Go Contacts behaviour

I've a lot of contacts so need a good app to manage them and Go Contacts offers everything I need. There are two annoying things (bugs?) with it though:
1) When you go to save a contact (and I save on average 2 new contacts daily), some numbers are automatically separated by Hypens every few digits. If you go to delete the hyphen, it will also delete the number before it?
2) If you miss a call and open the notification bar and click the missed call, it goes away, but then if you miss 1 other call, later in the day, it will say "2 missed calls", if one person tries ringing you 4 times and you miss them all, it will then show as 6 missed calls. If you check them and the notification area is clear etc and you get 1 more missed call, it will say 7 missed calls... and so on... I solved this by opening the missed call action with stock contacts, but would prefer not to have to use the two programs and just do everything with GO.
These are about the only gripes I have with it. I've heard suspicions about GO in general, offering so many ad free brilliant apps for free with no clear way for them to earn revenue from anything, but I guess I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now because the apps are good for my needs.
