I want to make a great looking manila 2.5 theme out of these but googling Precision icons or such just results in a bunch of bb themes, i found one but its a .jad and i have no clue how to pull the images out or if its even possible.
anyone know where i can find some nice high res pngs of these icons? i think they need to be at least 256x256 from the start

You can try pm'ing mobilematt as he's done some blackberry storm (basically seems like the same icons) themes and may already have some images for you. As well, I have these from a wisbar desktop theme, but they're not 256x256.
thanks, i found the original theme from a storm 9000, i wonder if these are as sharp as they get?
attached for anyone else who wants them but i'd still love to find some HIGH resolution ones instead of cleaning these up myself

It's pity, but I don't like the rounded start button, rounded close button, rounded back button... on the new WM 6.5.x ROMs.
For me the better looking is the buttons with corners

Either overwrite the default .png files in the Windows folder with your custom ones, or use Wince Cab Manager to create a cab to do it for you. Keep the custom .png file names and dimensions the same as the default ones.

I'd rather look in Windows Development / Themes section, here you'll find themes that exactly look like that. Myself I use the amarullz blue/black theme.

I love windows mobile because everything in it can be skinned.but after all this time i can not find a stylish and finger friendly skin for coreplayer 1.3.x. we all are waiting for version 2. but i haven't heard about it for a long time.so can anyone make such skin ?
there is already a skin for core player but nothing much changed... simply the colour and the buttons... buttons are still of same size... i think it uses a cps file for skin... which i have no idea of... ... if any one is willing to deal with those cps part i can make a graphics......

or you can increase the size of your skin buttons...go to menu>>Tools>>Settings>> (select Page)>> Advance... Scroll dow to the bottom.. there you will see Skin zooming... put appropriate value and restart the player and see which one suits your need....

I'm trying to color these images for a red theme I am trying to make but whenever I open them in Photoshop, they get all pixelated and distorted. Why is this? Attached is a comparison.

Ahh I got it. I have to do the actual editing in ImageReady and then save the file in Photoshop. I guess ImageReady is better with .png files...weird.
Maybe it has to do with the resolution? As in the resolution is a bit low, hence the reason for it being pixelated. A bit OT, but it is also possible to make some orange icons?

I'm pretty skilled with things like this myself, so if anyone could help me with the resolutions and organization of the icons, I'd be more than happy to give this a shot.
not sure if you found your answer, put my phone (samsung galaxy s i90000 looks exactly like that after installling darky's gingerbread rom! check it out if you haven't already....
There are PLENTY of roms and themes that use the gingerbread icons.
Skyraider 3.5 has a ton of GB Icons and themes. Check ACD's post in this very forum.

These images are cropped sections of work that I've done over the years as a digital artist. Some are recent, some go back well over 7 years ago. There are 35 different images included that range anywhere from photography to digital painting. I have cropped and resized these to fit our phones, every one is 960x800 resolution.
