Hello
Running Sense 2.5 on a Topaz and has noticed that the quick links on the home tab slows down the "sliding" (especially if a contact is assigned to a quick link). Is there a way to remove the quick links and instead show more calendar appointments and/or the call history. Basically making it look like sense 2.1.

Yes, I could do that but then I would miss out a lot of the great stuff in Sense 2.5 that I use, like the Twitter tab. And Sense 2.5 is responsive and fast but I would like to be able to change the home tab.

Thanks, yes maybe it is. But adding more functionality usually slows it down even more. But I'll test it.
Anyone else with an idea on how to fix this?

HTC’s “Manilla” is basically a customized interface that’s on top of the standard Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional OS. BoyGeniusReport.com reports that “Manilla” is not technically TouchFLO 2.0, TouchFLO 2.0 just has a few updates to the scrolling part of it and the cube, nothing more than that.

looks quite good but there are much possibilities to let your phone looks like that
nothing new for me that is the genuine manila stuff. the htc home plugin though is from the 7510 rom. the comm mananger also, audio manager also, and u see opera 9.5 405 the white/gray dialer is the manila dialer. the other one is just a athena gray dialer.

Nice, but not really perfect UI.... at this time WM7 looks perfect ^^
its great
can i have a cab file for a new htc home plugin!!!
nice screens....
any way... still dealing with 6.1 and do not think will come for all HTC phones...
no those are there with my permission. boygenius is bud of mine.
pls advise.. for example i love the SPB mobile shell's home tab and dialer .. however i really dont wish to pay just for these 2 features..
i hope someone kind can point me to the right direction.
there are so many of these out there i can't even count them using a calculator.

hi buddy.. thanks alot for your reply.. however.. these are all $ software.. am hoping to find freeware.. appreciate your patience on this
I think these are both free
thanks alot!!!!!! dial tab works just like the spb mobile's
cool !!!
now i am short of a app launcher.. then i dont not have to waste $$$.. as i only need this 2 features... can you please help me again?
nir36? anyone?
if you want more features on your screen you should use UltimateLaunch.. for instance.
I don't know of a launcher.. sorry
tho.. i guess that if you searched you'd find something... it isn't probable that nothing like this exists..
not just in the forum.. maybe in google..
yeah tried tlauncher .. a simple 1 liner app launcher ... doesnt work on x1
+1 for UltimateLauncher
for your needs... just make 1 page for contacts, 1 or more pages for applications, and a home page for time/message notifications.
google it. It's a great app, supports multiple today plugins also
This is my ultimate launch setup...
it includes FEWidgets.... the contacts page doesn't use a today plugin.. it's a set of 12 icons which are pointed at MakeCall.exe - #
and the apps page... icons as well.

TouchLaunch works well for me if you want a simple, yet skinnable launcher. Alternatively, there are a few good designs for Homescreen++ as well as UL (as stated by nir36).
Hope this helps
Hi, Ive only had my HD2 for a few days now and I am loving it! Had a TG01 and this is far better.
I was just wondering if there are any mods for the icons on the top task bar, I had a Diamond and was able to use a .cab from the Diamond section to change the icons to something better looking than the stock icons. Is there anything available yet or is it a case of waiting for the devs to sort something out??

I used the no-start one in that thread and it worked fine on my HD2, as shown below. Despite being for the HD.

I was only talking about the top part, the rest of the look is separate. I just couldn't be bothered cutting the taskbar out.
Install the cab and the rest of your screen won't be touched.
lol, just realised after I put the post up! I installed both cabs and its all good!!
just one more question, how do I get the bars to look textured?
thanks again!!!
You need to install MaxTTM. Run it, go to the WM6.5 tab, in Component select 'Taskbar', in Change Method select 'Special Pattern' and in Special Pattern Bar Selection select 'millski_blackgloss_bar.png'. Leave Alpha as 255. Tick 'Soft Reset After Convert' and press the Convert button. It should then reset and come up with the texture you see above on the taskbar.
Any chance you could provide a link to this MaxTTM?
Cheers!

Hi the theme includes everything in the screenshot except the background, the battery and lock slider is also included. The other stuff is almost standard.
Just trying to add some more skinning to the keypad, password boxes and icons etc... should be uploaded soon.
Hope you will like it.
Thanks

Is there a calendar widget out there? I would like to be able to have a look and my monthly calendar without having to pull the slider and switch to my Calendar tab in Sense. Real simple, just a sense looking calendar but in my home tab...
If anyone has something like this or whatever let me know. Is it hard to make one? In case that nobody has made one.

Be patient, they're probably all off somewhere cooking widgets....
As far as I know theres no calendar widget yet.
You can always just tap the calendar on your home screen or set up a tab link to take you straight there without whipping out the slider........
Im sure it wont be too long until one appears though........
Alright, thanks.
