For a 4th year entrepreneurship class study...
If you were a smalltime mobile app developer, would you be interested in a service that allowed you to port your application to another platform (one or more of apple/android/blackberry/WM/PalmOS) without you requiring more resources, tools and knowledge, to generate more revenue?
If yes please select the option that states which pricing plan you prefer.

Hi all,
i don't know if this has been made known before but anyway here is a link http://www.freecabs.de/ to a site that serves to provide ppc users a place to find free/commercial softwares/games in cab file-ready format and zip. just to mention a few like Pocket Rar, PPC Skype, Mem Release, VLC Media Player (that can stream video), Virtual Earth Mobile, UI tweaker etc. As for version compatibility, as most is not mentioned, i guess it's up to the user to find out.
I've tried to look for the proprietor's name of this website but could not find any so i could not pay any tribute directly as yet but anyway if he/she reads this, "A BIG THANK YOU TO YOU" so if any of you guys do find his/her name please mention it here. he/she did tho' include his/her e-mail "[email protected]". I think he/she deserves our thank you.
Cheers. (P.S as the url suggest softwares are free but i could not confirm this as i don't use much of them only those that i need)
The site is by Holger Schmidt
Danke Holger
Yes, i'm sorry. it's listed just below the title. Thanks.
And thank you again, Holger Schmidt.
Freecabs - Metro City Navigation
Métro Ver. 5.4.4 is cool. 350 cities.. and it's free!
If you have ever been lost in Munich, you know what I'm talking about.
well freecabs is great. But the site is really a portal for OTA downloads. All apps belong to their seperate owners.

We are a group of 3 students currently doing our honors in Information Technology at the North West University in South Africa. We are doing a research project concerned with the development of mobile applications and how the development of mobile applications can be improved to provide better user satisfaction and therefore cultivate better demand for the application.
Attached to this post is a questionnaire which contains 11 characteristics that we have identified to be crucial to the success of mobile applications. We kindly request that you complete this questionnaire to help us identify which of these characteristics are more important.
It should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
You can just email the completed document to the email address provided below or you can send me a PM.
MOD EDIT: REMOVED EMAIL
Thank you for your input, it is greatly appreciated
I just want to again ask that any one who has the time could fill this in and forward it to me. It will really take only about 10minutes of your time.
This research is done to further improve the quality of mobile applications.
So be a pioneer and help us further improve this mobile age that we are living in.
Is surveys allowed here???

Hello All,
I just joined XDA and will do my best not to be a noob. I'm with Jumio, the Andreessen-Horowitz funded start-up that is melding computer vision technology and mobile payments. My goal is to stay abreast of the issues and topic that you find important and to share with you info about how Jumio can figure into your app development plans.
On the what's new front, we've just launched our Android Credit Card Scanning SDK. Travelocity just implemented the "other" version into their hotel deals app and you can read about it on Techcrunch from Oct. 4. This SDK is now ready and available to you on jumio.com (for free) and on top we're offering 500 free scans to eliminate all barriers to give it a try. If you need more free scans or other info please drop me a line.
BTW, adept developers implement this card scanning functionality in under half an hour. Please let me know if you can beat that time.
If this info is more suited to a different section of the forum would appreciate if someone could direct me accordingly.
Cheers,
Marc

Hello everyone, several weeks ago I made an apps infographic for a technology board I routinely use on 4chan and after feedback and revising I've decided to share it with those of you on xda.
I hope you will find the wealth of various apps, tools, and games helpful!
(click for fullsize 1000x4700)
Please note that some of these are free and some are not, pertaining to beer & liberties. I try to seek the best apps possible in both respects.
Due to the post limits on 4chan it is all in image form (save it and read it later ya?), when time permits I may go through and add text descriptions/links for all of these applications.
I've dedicated a considerable amount of time in refining this list.
If you find it useful please leave a comment so others can discover it and/or give thanks!
I usually update it every week or two, so chime in with your suggestions and I'll try to make this the best list it can be.
