Manila 2D Omnia i910 - WQVGA - General Topics

Is there anyone out there who can help me find a complete M2D package that I can cook into my ROMS?
The package I have now for some reason I am unable to get the photos tab working. Also missing the FootPrints Widget, MyFaves Widget, and a couple others. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rob

How about this one? It's the latest 2.0 version from the Mega, and seems to have been optimized for WQVGA. I'm not sure if it's much more stable than your current version, but it's worth a shot

How to restore Manila 3D animations?

Hello all,
I installed the SwiftBL 7.5 Diamond ROM, but it doesn't have the fancy animations of Manila 3D. Is there a way to get these back, except installing another version or ROM? I searched the registry but couldn't find a key related to animations.
Have you checked with your chef to see if they're using an entirely different version number of Manila? I know it's a long shot but i know M2D lost its little animations after release 19 or so, maybe M3D has a similar caveat with a new version as well?
M3D is version 1.2.34591.1_1813.6 (or at least that's what it reports).
Manila 3D animations aren't gonna disappear unless the ROM chef or user removes them. I'm no expert in customization, so I don't know how it can be done.
I tried installing another M3D version but with no luck.
Can anybody help me?

OMNIA i910 HELP!!!

hi
well i got the new omnia from verizone, this actually my first smartphone but i dont like the widgets theme i saw some vids on youtube and they had the MANILA 2D theme which i like alot.
HOW can i install it if i can because i found out that manila 2d is only for QVGA?
Also i hate the white keypad on the omnia, is there any black ones and can someone help on how to install them?
modacco has a m2d rom for the i900, but i don't thinks its compatible with the i900 though..... i could be wrong i don't know anything really about omnia's. This is an htc site you won't find a whole lot of support here.
The main problem is -a- your device is non-htc and -b- your awkward screen resolution.
M2d Works
I installed it on my i910. Works fine. It just takes up a lot of system memory.
err i have omnia too but wot is this manila 2d?
ow and BETA stands for? (never really knew )

[REQ] Manila 2.1 start menu and/or program tab for Manila 2.5

Hey guys,
I hope this is the right place to post this. Feel free to remove if this isn't in the correct place.
I was wondering, is there anyone who would be able to look into porting the Manila 2.1 start menu/program tab or both over to Manila 2.5?
I have seem something similar done for the VGA port of Manila 2.5 here (the files are attached at the bottom).
There is also an interesting comment about said tab here.
Is there anyone would could maybe try to get this program tab for work for WVGA Manila 2.5? And also maybe get the start menu working?
Hope someone can do it
Sorry for the bump, but is no one able to do this? Surely all the great chefs/hackers can make something happen
I too want this please.
Lack of Programs Tab on Manila 2.5
I find Manila 2.5 almost unbearable because of the lack of a Programs Tab. The Program (Start Menu) in Windows Mobile 6.5 is absolutely dreadful.
This would be such a welcome improvement.
I'm keeping away from 6.5 all together mainly because of the horrible imo start menu....i might reconsider that if smn ports the start menu to 2.5
would be awesome.

It seems to be here already, in Qilin's roms.......

I hear you; a real struggle. One way to bring some relief to this issue is having 4x4 programs on the Home Tab:

Also Max Manila: http://pocketnow.com/tweaks-hacks/give-htc-sense-25-a-makeover-with-max-manila-26
Hope this encourages you.

WM6.5/Touchflo ROM with Flip-Clock & Weather ?

Hey Guys - I've poured over these threads and am a bit confused about the versions of HTC touchflo. What are my options, if any, that allow running WM6.5 and getting the flip-clock with weather beneath it? Is this possible? Or is this only touchflo 3d, which hasn't been cooked into a wizard rom?
Or maybe I should be able to change the look of the clock for this touchflo but I haven't been able to find it?
Thanks for any info.

I think what you mean is the HTC home plugin, right? I would say that you could use any 6.5 ROM and install the HTC home plugin to get the features you want (by the way, I just found this in a German ROM somewhere here, check out the "SKYNET ROM v6", post #7- Seems it's working there and should of course work for any English version, too). Good luck
Andreas
I think it's called "HTC Sense" ?
Thanks for replying Andreas. I did some more searching and I think the name associated with the look I want is "sense" ... i don't see a wizard ROM for that yet. But maybe i'm missing something? I've attached a pic.

hm... well, I don't know this one. But guess what- I'd be interested in this too Sorry I couldn't help. Personally, I don't like the 6.5 default look either and I keep always changing to even the 'old' 6.1 home screen, simply because I have all the information I need on one screen. I prefer this over a fancy look. But the thing you are looking for seems to do the job, too. Let's hope someone can jump in and solve the issue
Good luck,
Andreas
Once i ask cracing why dont use this on a rom.
1- this new touchflo is to big
2- our processor is to slow to process the flip clock, you can imagine...there is a lot of deferents images all the time change.
3- there is still bugs on ported version (maybe now this is not more valid)
Just one more thing, the picture is the 3d version, this one is IMPOSSIBLE to get in a non 3d acceleration device, but there something like that in 2d.
I've run this (the 2D version anyway) on a Wizard, by installing cabs onto a fairly naked 6.5 rom. It's slow, and takes too much memory and storage. It sure is pretty, though.
I think I used an "MSD-Series" rom as the base. I can't remember for sure.
I often try 6.5 but my favorite roms are 6.1. Even there, Manila2D is a hog.
RoryB's latest ExtROM-based Angel rom and TechTeamup's NSN rom are pretty evenly matched as my favorites right now. Both come with M2D. NSN loses points for using an older version, but Angel loses points for requiring tweaks to get the album view and music tabs to work properly.

I also need the same. Anybody there can suggest something
Its New HTC Manila from HTC Mega having Flip-Clock and Weather on home screen. It can be found here.
As it has many images ( for making animation like flip clock ), it makes the device slower. So its only good for newer qvga devices having 400+ mhz CPU speed and 128+ MB RAM or users how use there device rearly.
Best Regards
You can see pictures of a Wizard running Manila2D v2 here:

It realy looks great but as Cracing and n2rjt and boto said: It needs to much RAM and CPU power! And is has no real landscape mode wich is a problem if you use it on a phone with a slide-out-keyboard like the Wizard. I did not only installed the CABs but cooked it into my ROM. I flashed it, tested it and 2 days later I already flashed an other ROM again because it is not usefull at all.

[Q] Sense 2.5 Email Tab for Sense 2.1 TP2

Is there a cab or anything that'll give me the Sense 2.5 email tab for my Sense 2.1 TP2. I only found one cab (kimi_sae_ireba) but it didnt work correctly. There's a lot of white and out graphics issues. I saw something in that post about editing the 220edf70_manila file for a WVGA device, but I wouldn't know how to do all that. Id love to have it tho, so any help would be appreciated.
