Hello everyone, i'm sorry if this post has been added somewhere else but i cannot find my answer. I'm running Gumbos rom with his kernel but i just don't like that boxy looking home button at the bottom. I want the traditional one from HTC. Is there a zip file anywhere out there so i can install that?

You can grab any older Rosie.apk and drop it into System/app and you will be good to go.
Here is one you can use:
WRONG LINK SORRY
Awesome, thank you very much. Also, one more question, can i add the home buttons that 1.6 has?

Actually hold off on that, I sent you down the wrong path. Do a search with in the CDMA hero forum for a Rosie.apk. That one from the G1 forum and will most likely cause rosie to FC on you. Pretty simple just search the forum for it and push it like I said above. Sorry for the wrong link.
If you can not find one, send me your email address I'll send you mine (sorry don't feel like posting it up...a bit lazy right now)
Alright awesome, i just sent you a private msg with my e-mail. I really appreciate it.

Hi. You want a cab with a name along the lines of:
Background all tabs, BG all tabs, BG4All etc...
I used one called BG4all_Manilla2.5.cab but don't know where I got it.
Check out the sticky threads but be careful as I've read some people encountered problems with such files.
Good luck.
sorry install this one is the first one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=637671

Hey guys. It seems like in the thread merging of the various theme threads, the white taskbar that I used to be able to find for 2.1 has gone missing. If anyone has it, could they post it up here? It's the white one that looks exactly like vanilla... I don't mind if it has 3G text or EvDo text either.
EDIT
I should mention that this is regarding Damage Control or Fresh... not Legend roms.

Don't know if this is the one you are looking for or not. It contains more than just the taskbar, but you can certainly use as a starting point / modify accordingly.

Of course you do. Fire away...
I'm not an Android or Java guru, so I'm sure there's probably a better way to do this, but it works...
This is an update.zip which has a modified Phone.apk and Contacts.apk in order to allow the user to add an unknown number in the call log to the Blacklist.
As usual with this stuff make a backup first.
And of course I take no responsibility for anything.
For CM-5.0.8
BlacklistFromCallLog-eclair-signed.zip
For CM-6.0.0RC1
BlacklistFromCallLog-signed.zip
with working accept/decline sliders
BlacklistFromCallLog-slide-signed.zip
For CM-6.0.0RC2
BlacklistFromCallLog-6.0.0rc2-signed.zip
and the diff against cm-6.0.0rc1

You don't need the diff. It's just if you want to compile it yourself or see the source code.
Oh, ok, thanks for the MOD
Thanks for this, I've been wanting exactly this for a while now-it only makes sense. I hope cyan or other devs take note of this and incorporate it into their roms, to keep up with newer releases of the phone/contacts.apk's that they use.
Sorry if this is a little off topic but i figured you could take a look at it since you're already poking around... but does anybody notice that the blacklist clears itself after each reboot? its a little frustrating readding the numbers all the time

I don't have this problem on my g1 or slide.
I pulled the links. Apparently it breaks the ability to answer the phone
I'll look at at when I get home from work.
cant wait for update :fingers crossed:
File has been removed from the server....
Can you please re-upload this file or attach it to the OP?
Thanks
Bert
I finally got around to looking at it. Apparently the problem was not with my changes, but somewhere in my build environment.
Essentially whether I build the phone app with or without the changes, I am losing the onscreen answer/decline sliders. Gonna have to look into that because I am using a slide which lacks the hardware answer button rendering my phone app unusable to me.
So since it does actually work, Here is the new diff. It is essentially the same but with a few code cleanups. I am going to hold off on posting the apk's however until i figure out why i'm losing the onscreen sliders. If anyone knows, please let me know.
blacklist_diff_v2.txt
I don't have the sliders in stock CM6. But, I'm on a dream/G1.

Nothing unless your compiling your own roms.
I've been searching all day, and I can't get a working copy of the Froyo HTC_IME APK.
Does anyone have it, or have the ability to rip it? I really wish I didn't have to request it here but I've exhausted all my attempts here to find it.
Help would be really appreciated. I'm currently running Damage Control 3.5 which didn't get official Froyo Sense keyboard. The mod does not have arrows, which is necessary for EVO users.
-EDIT: If anyone knows how to rip it from a ROM, that information can help as well, as long as it's not too difficult. I can have a friend attempt to do that.
Here you go.
Y'all check this out!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654179
I dunno how many of you use HTC_IME_hiRes version but this is a pretty sweet kitchen that themes it up in almost any way you want!
Awesome! Thanks major to the creator, gIMpSTa. And thanks to jonasl for the mod.
Yea the kitchen is convenient. Only thing is the XDA HTC_IME mod doesn't have multitouch or arrows like the official HTC one which is what he wants.

Thanks. For some reason, however, it says "Application Not Installed". Any reasons as to why this is happening?
Again, I'm running DamageControl 3.5.
I did, while waiting for a reply, find a backup made by Titanium that includes the keyboard as system data. I could not run a restore for it though. It feels like I just will never get that keyboard back unless I flash a new ROM.
So, out of the options below, what's my best move?
1. Troubleshoot the installation error.
2. Troubleshoot Titanium
3. Flash a different ROM
This might seem like too much for a single keyboard, but you don't know how much I miss those arrows...

I wish I had my comp, and I'd just post the apk.
Anyways dude, the froyo keyboard is nice, so I could see why you want it. I've tried swype, and just plain deleted that gimpsta crap after like an hour (its nice for people who can't theme, but just ugly compared to a themes froyo).
To rip the apk, just download a stock Rom, open the zip, and it should be in system/app/. From there, u have to adb push it to the system/app/ folder of your own.phone.
Another alternative would be downloading a stock Rom n deleting literally everything in the zip minus the HTC_IME and flashing it.

Lol, look at my keyboard on my theme. You can mod the jell outta the stock, it just takes effort, looks sexy and you still have the features that the generic Gimp keyboard is missing.

lol *shakes head* because I dont use the one with arrows. Plus it isn't inferior. And it is very easy to get. Again, you hate on me for sharing information.
Dude, it doesn't have multi touch n **** either.
I "hate on you" bc you don't answer questions, and instead post links to irrelevant ****. A link to gimpstas site isn't an answer to someone wanting the stock froyo keyboard.
You do this mess all the time guy. Just try answering a question straight out

Normally I wouldn't bump so soon but this is the only keyboard I use and I could really use some help. Thanks

Hey! I'm not really sure whats up with that. I am downloading DC right now to see whats inside. I made a new flashable. Maybe it will work. Before you flash it i would remove any extra keyboards you may have installed. Then also look in your /system/app/ folder and see if there are multiple copies of htc_ime.apk. there really should be only one. lastly, i would go to >settings>applications>manage>all>TouchInput>Clear defaults(dunno if you can do this) but maybe clear data. Then reboot recovery and flash this file. Maybe it wasnt working because it needed the clicker.apk as well.
Hope something works for ya. These files are from fresh so maybe that is why they don't work. ???
Has anyone figured out how to get this keyboard to work on cyanogen?
What exactly is the clicker?
I just ripped the APK from my Stock Froyo install for HTC_IME.apk, which should be the right keyboard. I have the clicker installed from that other HTC_IME Mod apk that's been around for a while, but that's not the multitouch version and doesn't have the arrow keys.
I'm going to see if the same hacks the guy who hacked the first one will work on this new APK. But I can't play around with it yet.
Check out APKtool to decompile the APK and look at the source for the other HTC_IME mod to kind of see what he did.
I too would like to use it in my CM install.
the clicker is what allows you to calibrate/recalibrate the touch input
Did anyone get the 2.2 keyboard running in AOSP roms yet?

OMFG ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Months... months i tell you i have been using android. hero then evo. And i just now realize you can use the volume keys as arrows thanks to you. I have learned how to theme, i have learned how to customize stock ota's into custom rom's for myself, i have learned how to compile kernels from source by dual booting into my linux build. I have learned so many things... and yet, just figured this out.... sometimes i wonder about myself and my sanity,.
on topic now, i think the touch input keyboard requires more than one apk to be installed, or an apk and a library.
Alright here is the case my mom had a htc task widget on her My touch Slide with t-mobile. She loved it. Well she just upgraded to the HTC Sensation. She has the notes widget, she doesn't like it. She wants her task widget back. I have found on here people with htc desires with it and an apk. would this work on a sensation here is the link to what i am talking about.

Once you download it you'll need to put in on your memory card. After that you'll need a file manager (install ES file explorer or Astro file manager from the market). Than use the file manager to navigate to the apk on the memory card and start it
But you won't like the widget... The buttons are messed up.
Better get something different from the market
Hey thanks to all who answered me, sadly i do have to say it did not work the buttons were off center and it was a bit small but when you clicked the add button and then done it would not add a task but thank you for all your help it will help from here on. Sorry for bumping an old thread, but want to throw out an offer here rather than starting a new thread. I'd be willing to pay someone if they could get the task widget fixed to run on the Sensation. As stated in the thread, it works but its buggy. If interested, shoot me a PM.
Oh man, thats one of my favorite widgets from HTC. Hopes someone can modify it...
mine too! now i'm cnm 7.1.0.1 and the only thing that i realy miss is the htc note widget. how can i get it back?
Back to Sense ROM it's the only way to have sense widgets working.
I love that little apk too but sadly not able to use it on my sensation.
However, you can try TO DO LIST WIDGET (by Chrisbailey).
I use to replace Work 2.0. You need to change the default setting a little to make it look like Work. (The settings is very visualized and easy to setup.)
Although its not 100% the same (looks and functions similar enough though).
