Official Crossbow theme(s) & sounds wanted
Hello,
I'm very interested in the new crossbow .tsk & .wav files, so for a few days I try to de-cook the AKU 3.5 ROMs (esp. provided by Helmi) to extract the file contents, but since now without much success. What I've extracted were some dll's & exe's, but the most interesting part for me wasn't there: The wav's from the event sounds (like Default.wav, Infbeg.wav, ...). I've found crossbow themes here, but the one that looks like the original has a width (landscape) of 1 pixel too less (319px). In another thread I've found the brilliant ringtone and a few system sounds zipped together (file 'other_crossbow_sounds.zip'), but it doesn't contain all event sounds, some wav's are missing. Please, please can anyone post here:
1. The official default .tsk (320x240 + 240x320)
2. The full collection (or the missing ones w.r.t. the existing ones) of event sounds
3. The media player skin (I really like the look derived from Vista)
4. Other goodies

I have seen none of the originals camaro - but show us where the tsk is thats one pixel short and i will mod it if you like.
EDIT Did you try this one seems to be the right dimensions ftp://[email protected]/BlueAngel/BA_WM5/Shipped_Extracted_Updates/xplode/cabs/Crossbow.tsk
I have edited it so its stwater only (tdywater.gif not required) so its a smaller tsk file
I have analysed original images and before mentioned tsk colors are not correct. I have compared all other available mock crossbow tsk's and images and i believe the one i have produced is close to the original - thoughts?

Whats that nice clock app, that you got on the todayscreen and what are you using to create the shortcuts?
Oops, found the clock in the Prophet forum. Still interested in the shortcuts though.

Oh, now it's clear: There is a border of 1px in the background-image itself that let me think the today-background was 1px too less. In the portrait mode the top border is OK to distinct between taskbar and today-screen-contents, but in landscape mode the right (and left - hard too see on my ppc) is annoying. In the next days (I don't have experience in compiling a .tsk yet) I'm going to fix this and upload the corrected .tsk.

Those themes are wm5 only - i have done a 2003 version - i hope its ok, please tell me if it is as i dont have a 2003 device.

Oh: What I've forgot to mention: I'm an 2003SE-powered device owner, too. So, what's the difference between WM2003SE and WM5 respecting the .tsk's?

Wm5 uses base hue (centered gradient) and color keys for the top and bottom bars, 2003 uses just plain colors commonly in a gradient side to side pattern.
So totally different registry color keys - a 2003 tsk will work in a wm5 device to a fashion but not the other way round. If your interested read my tutorial here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=275907

No problem - the top and bottom bars look a touch too dark - i can adjust them if you like
EDIT Find versions 2 and 3 attached with lighter bars

It looks like crossbow mb.tsk is nearly right - just needs some tweaking of the color - at least its not grey lol.
I will tweak color if you tell me which way to go.
EDIT find a new one attached
If this not working i may need to do a cab to do the color change - but not the best solution - or i will install magic button myself and give it a go. - its all good fun hey guys
I appreciate the effort but.... it is still not like i would like it tot be..and a cab solution is not really an option. I'll think i will look for an alternative for Magic button ... can't believe this is the only/best solution for a task manager/closer.
Do you know if there is a matching dialer skin WITH smart dial for the P3300.

This upgrade seems to work great but I would like to know if this upgrade is correct in that it does not show any descriptions at the bottom of the screen, except a darkened area containing menu and photo album symbols.
Surely this is not displaying correctly.
Can someone please advise and provide a correct .cab if necessary.

ok i will be a magician now,
1. Your using a tilt
2. I dont know what rom ur using
3. You have to change ur radio for it to work
4. try radio depending on your rom 1.27.11.31 1.27.12.32 1.27.12.11

yes. I got the og files from nadavi's cab and added got the missing files from dutty's dual touch v2.
actualy you need none of the images add this or if it already in the reg you don't need any images
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HTC\Camera\Common]
"RCDLL"="CameraRc_Grey.dll"
if you want orange images the add "RCDLL"="CameraRc_Orange.dll"
then the camera looks for the images inside the dll and no need for all those 50+ images

My camera doesn't seem to work with CameraRc_Orange.dll. I did find the images in CameraRc_Grey.dll and that is the current setting in my registry, but you still need the bmp's for the help file. Not sure how important that is for anyone else, but I'm a little anal retentive. Plus all the images combined only comes out to about 100K. I cooked the camera into my rom so I can't test to see if it works without the images. Can anyone confirm?

oh wow... this camera package is at least 2x faster than the one that ships on the Kaiser. It still uses auto-focus, too. It's still not nearly as fast as the TyTN was, but it's a definite improvement.
i can only imagine how much faster it would be if the video drivers actually worked right. ;-)

I've been around but you'r makeing so many roms and good once too that I just been cooking roms for prophet last is a multi rom in 13 languages

I think he already has the answer. He stated in the second post to try a different radio. Rignt now my camera is working with 1.27.14.09. And like gullum said, all the images are in that dll file.

Hi all, this is my first post, I would really like to say this is a great place to be... there is a solution for almost everything
anyway... I tried the camera cab and it works fine (Nadavi_HTC_Camera_5_0_4_2915_00.cab) and its really MUCH faster than the original camera app, but when I click on the small arrow icon on the bottom left, i get an error stating that the pictures and video app is not installed... any ideas?

Thanks to maranello's HDWall application at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3616825, I had managed to create two Manila Touchflo 3D Themes (version 2.1 Touchflo 3D) to share with you guys and gals.
The same background is in all the tabs. Hope you will like it. Here's the link:
I have also included the matching background for your Today (Titanium plugin) and Start Menu background.
Hope you will like it.
1. Disable Manila Touchflo 3D
2. Download the theme zip file you want
3. Copy the jpg files to your \Windows directory
4. Run the CleanReg_Manila_Background.mscr
5. Run the cab file (boats_M21.cap or sunsetM21OT.cab)
6. Soft Reset your device.
7. Enable Manila Touchflo 3D
Enjoy!

manila is the technical name for touch flo 3d, the trippy today screen overlay that HTC puts on its phones.
ie all that flip clock stuff and weather application.

Got the original xperia ROM (wm6.1) and i dont want to install a 6.5 rom.
Would be nice if someone could post a link for me if there actually is a pure or standalone version. cant find anything, search comes up with thousands an millions of posts =)

I can't find any cab for Manila TF3D as well, so have to be contented with the roms that had it cooked in.
HELP!!
I installed the theme, but realized that the background was white and couldn't read the messages and appointments..So i uninstalled the theme, but the screen rotates with the g-sensor, causing a lot of delays...Could anyone help me get back to the original TF without the rotation thing...Thanks a lot in advance...

I have searched and searched and seached and havent found it so im asking in this thread does anyone have a leo phone canvas cab availible??

This thread does not have a leo canvas. I am too looking for Leo/Pure canvas cabs. Topaz canvas has problems with Pure and Rhodium does not have curtain.
Any help will be much appreciated.
I have the package for Leo canvas, however, I haven't been successful in making a cab out of it. So, if any knows good instructions, that might help as well.

no i didnt mean the topaz dialer with video call i meant the leo dialer with confrence call, the leo dialer doesnt have video call on it, its the leo dialer thats used in duttys roms, thats what i was looking for

Hmmm....Interested, I always think Leo Canvas is for conference call, but Topaz Canvas for videocalling. I was dont know it is exist Topaz Phone Canvas with both video- and conference- call. Dutty make ROM in two version , one for Leo canvas, other with Topaz Canvas. I will try this cab in next days....Thanks.

there are three dialers
the topaz dialer : have video call and curtain
the leo dialer : has conference call works better with leo or manila 2.5 roms, has curtain as well
the rhodium dialer : has no curtain, has video call and conference call hopes this helps someone
me I was personally looking for the leo dialer in a cab so I won't have to be so restricted to certain roms that have it which are currently only two, which are dutty's rom and one other, my personal opinion duttys rom is the best

Hey do not try, it only use with my Rom. Cause some files in that package were removed. Only compatible with my Rom.

I installed your theme. It's beautifull, but I think I did something wrong in the begining because the dialer doesn't show. I tried to uninstall all the theme but the rom it can not uninstall it. I have HD2. It was supose to not install 1 - Dusk_Manila_2.5_Evolution_v2.0? Anyway, please give me a tip of how to uninstall the whole thing and go back to the original skin.. Oh.. and it seems to slow a little bit my device. Is normal? Thank you very much.

i love this font! although i have no idea how to install etc. im sorry if i seem to have the brain age of a 1 year old but im new and have just, in the past couple of days, converted to a windows mobile. i have the HTC HD2, any help would be appreciated!
