Hi, I have a problem - I disabled HTC Sense in settings (on my HTC TD2). The whole today screen disappeared - all I can see is the status bar at the top and links to calendar and contacts at the bottom. There's nothing more than this (black background).
And the biggest problem is that I cannot launch settings from start menu to activate HTC Sense again.

I have a problem since i use smartphones with notifications and reminders : when it came no problem i can dissmiss it etc but if i see it after ,the softkey shows "notification" only few millisecondes then shows the normal softkey for 3secondes (i will soon try without custom softkey) and it loop. Futhermore when it happens i can't see any notification icon in taskbar (i don't known if icon should be there) It append for all notification and reminders (task calendar missed called) and in my two device htc p3450 and etenX800 and with both wm6 and 6.1 the only app i have always in the two device is QuickMenu 2.7 (very nice) (i will try to remove it). the problem is not always but is geating worst when i install more apps(maybe one of them is the problem).
Does somebody knoes how to fix this. or at least.
Is there a solution to make a notification window active without the softkey and without icon. Is there a solution to always show notifications Icon.

What phone, OS, ROM, and reminders? If you are using custom softkeys, try removing them.

Curently my phones 3450 WM6 latest official rom
and EtenX800 WM6.1 CustomLight Rom(i had official before)
i have this problem with all these configurations and quite all notifications and reminders (ex : missed call, task reminders,the notification a the first windows startup who ask for sending info to microsoft ,etc...)
the notification which is the most blocked is the one generated by quickmenu when i tap on his battery icon.Futhermore as i haven't seen this problem in any forum and as i have this problem whit very diferent configuration (OS PHONE ROM PROG)i think this probleme come from Quickmenu which is the only common point i see.
I am asking myself if somebody else has already seen this? answer will be welcome

I have disabled the QuickMenu taskbar icon which indicate free memory and battery and the problem has disapeared.
But it's a shame i loved to see my free memory ram in the taskbar.
Is somebody know a app or a way to show free memory ram in text and in Mb on the taskbar. (i already found wktask which doesn't work properly)

I have a HTC Touch Diamond . When I try to change the today menu it doesn't save it.. all it leaves is Call History and Calendar. I go into settings and click the Today icon and I go to items and check off what I want to be displayed and hit ok, but it doesn't save it. Also, I download some weather applications with a "today screen plug-in," and those don't show up on the Today screen either.
Am I doing the setting change wrong? Is there something special I have to do to get the plugins to work?
Sorry, going to sound like a silly question but you have turned off touchflo 3d yes? Other today plugins wont work otherwise.

I have not found this question about the sensation but apologies if I have missed it.
I am just wondering if there is a way of disabling the message preview on the lock screen but leaving it so it DOES still show on the status bar. I like the fact that you can read a message 'in app' as it scrolls across the status bar but don't like the idea of the message popping up and staying on the screen if you leave my phone sat on a desk!

messages>settings>notifications>untick notification preview
this way will also toggle the status bar preview

As I mentioned, I still like the status bar notification preview but don't want the lock screen preview. It's my understanding that your suggestion turns off both?
It will turn off both... I think its not possible with HTC lockscreen (atm) but you can use an additional Lockscreen like Widgetlocker.
I thought that may be the case, I know it can be done on galaxy sII.

no in privacy don't only disables lock screen message on middle on the screen I have it liuke that. main settings not message settings
Mine shows status bar AND lock screen though... That is in settings > privacy
I am running ICS.
IM not sure but if I find a way I will let you know

I was looking for this too since it was available in Gingerbread (sense 3.0) but i think it's not available in sense 3.6! This is what i did: I unticked the option in privacy settings and then i flashed shnizlon's AOSP theme and chose to install ONLY aosp status bar with toggles! Now i have sense with AOSP staus bar ( which i prefer ) and messages are shown on the status bar but not in HTC lockscreen! You should know that when you flash this mod it automatically replaces the Sense settings with the aosp one so you must UNTICK the option in privacy settings before you flash the mod OR change the same option in messages settings!

Thanks, I will maybe try that. Just wish HTC would give is the option. Almost has a touch of apple about the lack of choice!

yeah me too man... i loved that on my stock rom. maybe HTC will add it on in the official ICS.
So ever since sense 3.6 i believe..everytime you open up the keyboard, the touch input icon gets displayed and its quite annoying..i played around with the settings and nothing..is there anything that can be done to remove that?? i know minor thing but would rather have it gone than there. thanks in advance

I've noticed a little bug while using VI4.0.2 with default settings (SebastianFM v1.4.1 and Nova Launcher) on a HTC Sensation XE: just after I've unlocked the phone the every first gesture (tap or swipe) is always missed, I always need to tap or swipe a second time in order to get the gesture recognized by the phone. Is it happens to you too? How to fix it?
I've solved it, that was Fancy Widget blame, I activated the wheater animation after the unlock and the first touch was used in order to interrupt the animation. I disabled the animation and now it works. I'm sorry for the thread, bye
