Does any of you know any good (free) IRC clients for HD2? If so, please post link
http://zsirc.com/
Works well enough...
Thanks
Didnt find anything when I tried Google
too bad zsirc doesnt support dcc file xfer
i use smartirc.
it's a bit tricky configuring. i found that it does not remember the settings when connection fails. eventually it worked and now i only have to tap "connect" in smartirc
Try this one. It's actually pretty good, and simple to configure.

So I had followed the step by step instructions of how to get the shadow to work with t-zones through proxy and it worked pretty well. Today I decided to go ahead and sign up for the "total internet plan". I wanted to be able to use my POP mail correctly and use MSN Live messenger too. I also have read all over the place that using the proxy with t-zones is slower.
Anyway ... the reason for me writing this is because I was wondering what the easiest way for me to make sure that I am not using the t-zones proxy for the connections. I basically have to go in and "undo" all of the changes that I made to get the proxy to work right? I'm guessing that I am answering my own question but I was just wondering if there was any other ideas or ways to get the same goal. I'd love to just do that mythical ROM update t-mobile has mentioned and start from scratch that way. I don't see that happening soon enough though.
Thanks for any and all help and here's hoping for a shadow specific section on this great site some day!
Ok so they give us a password to connect to the wifi, then from there if you are on a laptop then browser automatically opens and you input a user name and password...this then connects you. I'm not too sure how to do this on my Jasjar, do i manually configure? How? Where do i input username and password because the browser doesnt automatically open for me. We are trying to connect using phones, iphones, and my ppc. How do I connect??
Thanks for reading.
Do you know what kind of authentication used in your school? It's 802.1x? Do you have to install a certificate? Try to find out more information...
Open a good browser(say opera) and try opening any site on it. This is most likely the case. You'll be auto-directed to the page where you can input the user-id and password
I have similar problem.
The VPN solution that is used needs users to authenticate via xauth, which is not supported by WM.
Does anyone have a good proposal for a client to use?
If there's no free solution I don't (really) care about the costs.

@ loiz
Thanks for the links
I tried to find some proper software myself, but apparently i did something really wrong!
The decription of the NCP Tool looks promising, as it should include everything I need. I'll give it a try (could take some days) and tell whether I've been lucky or not...
I downloaded Opera so i will try with that tomorrow...I cant understand German so i cant understand that link and cant download. Will see with Opera anyway, thanks.

You don't need to
First, on the german version of the NCP homepage youget to the downloads by clicking Downloads, then choosing Software, then the Client, that's also named english
If you can't figure out how to set up he account needed in german, just click on the little American flag in the upper right of the screen
It's present on the homepage and the downloads page.
The second link is just an instruction anyway, except for the link to the SecureW2 Client. You should find the (english) homepage of that via google. You don't need to bother downloading that if the authentication method isn't 802.11.
Thanks mate, but I tried with Opera and it works!!! Now to find a way to access msn!!

You can allways use online live messenger http://mobile.live.com/pocketpc/
Been looking for a way to get it to work at college as well.
Have got no idea what do cause we use certificates here, have one on my ppc and installed it (on sd as well as the device).
Got practically everything filled out except when selecting a certificate i get the message that there is none.
Been trying to consult the It-services desk but they have no experience whit this.
Do you have any idea which steps i should take?
Thanks in advance
Online messengers are blocked also, they use some burst filtering software or something, will check to see if i can find an unblocked site. Would be great if there was a way to allow everything. Thanks lads.
Hey folks,
I recently got an HTC Fuze and am looking for a good, free, ssh client for this phone. I have looked around and found pocketputty but I hate Putty in general. Does anyone know of another free ssh client for WM6.1. Or maybe someone built openssh for WM6.1?
TIA
Nope, I do not. However, I just tried pocket-Putty and it works really well.
The thing is... I have no means to send the [Esc] key through Pocket-Putty (as it is not on my HTC touch Diamond software-keyboard). Hence: I can not use programs who need that (i.e. VIM as I can not jump out of my editing-modus). So I would appreciate alternative SSH clients (with 'special charachter send'-options build in), or a workaround to send [Esc] in Pocket-Putty to be posted
you can just download a different keyboard program you dont have to use the one that came with your phone. get vgakey.cab. if you need me to upload it pm me.

Of course, I should have thought of that myself . It worked like a charm, Thanks!
Although my practical problem is solved, I need to apologize for hijacking Fuzewraith's thread. So, back on topic: Does anyone have an alternate SSH client?
There's also midpssh..
Sorry if posted in wrong thread.
I´m having a lot of problems setting up transdroid with my Buffalo linkstation Live
My nas is on latest firmware and running a webUI utorrent client
In transdroid I´ve choosed BuffaloNAS as "servertype"
The port 6881 is forwarded in my router
Just can´t get it to work(even on wifi)
As I am a bit stupid I would like if one of you could give me step by step instructions or even better: if one of you also got a buffalo linkstation ; post a screenshot of your transdroid setup.
Thanks in advance

Hello,
I have just noticed that e-mail client isn`t working, it was setup as exchange server. So, I`ve removed account, setup it again. But, it hangs on the message: Your emails will be downloaded... And it hangs, and hangs. I`ve tried form setup and from email program, and the result is the same. If I setup pop3, than it works.
Is there a solution for this? Had anyone had similar problem?
Thanks
I'm far from an expert on the matter. I will try and help you though. To me it sounds like an authentication issue.
Since telent is widely documented with Exchange. I feel it is the best/easiest tool.. Running some basic tests. Ruling out server auth issues, versus the device is mis-configured.
Can the device telnet into the exchange server, do you know how? Assuming you know the basics of telnet and have an app to do so.. Does it reject the connection or does it reply to the HELO with the 250 OK.
@Enablingwolf
Sorry, but I don`t know how to test telnet. Please be kind to navigate me through.
Thanks
I can't yet post links. So you will have to insert the http part to complete the address.
exchange.mvps.org/smtp_frames.htm
You can install Fing off the store. It'll have the ability to telenet, plus other useful features. The link I helped with, will give the basics easier than me typing it all out. (It is pretty easy to run the tests. If you've used a command prompt.)
Ok, I`ll give it a try.
Thanks
