I entered the S/N of my Vodafone AU 32B however the webpage said the download is "not available for your device", I assume this is a 32A update.
Any chance of a backport to 32B?
Nobody has been able to download the update, not even the users with 32A. I know cuse i tried

If your in the UK, it's most likely you have a Vodafone-branded HTC Magic. MyTouch 3G is the US T-Mobile branding for the HTC Magic.
However, both the MyTouch 3G & the Vodafone HTC Magic have one thing in common - they're both 32B. Trying to use that RUU will brick your phone.
I know what I have. It is the MyTouch 3G branded T-Mobile. I bought it and had it shipped from US.

Hopefully some nice dev will do a 32B port. I guess HTC don't think the 32B with its' decreased amount of RAM is an ideal platform for Sense.

If you put your own serial number (find it under the battery) it will check to see if you have the phone model before letting you download
i've Magic vodefone from France and my SN don't work ... :/
Can someone clarify if all Vodafone HTC Magic devices (in all countries) are 32B? ("With Google" branded)?
As already explained in the related thread, when enter my SN it pop ups with the message "sorry, this update is not suitable for your devide"

No it isn't. Sense will not be officially released for 32B versions. The HTC Magic is generally called (Vodafone) in their productline and this is a mistake. If the product line was correct, there would be no such thing as a 32A.
Stick to the announcements and you would know this. This is also why S/N keys arnt working.

By the way just flashed it using gold card method again. Went smooth. Radio/HW Boot are the same as in TW ROM.

I foolishly tried this on my 32b and now have a nice brick. Does anyone know how to recover it? I'm stuck on a RUU USB screen and it's showing a 32a radio.

How is this one different from the Taiwan ROM (languages, programs, etc.)?
Seems a little faster. Not much difference. The build number is higher so maybe it's got a few minor tweaks/bug fixes etc. I've flashed it no more than 30 mins ago. I'll report back if i'll find something new/different/improved.

Dude seriously are you dense or something? The ROM comes from HTC directly so how to you expect it to work on your Google branded phone? Besides SenseUI will not be officially released for Google branded devices aka 32B devices. It's common sense.

Respect man. It was only a advice for help to people haven't bricked phones (it has already happened). Vodafone has only HTC Magic 32B.

i upgrade this rom to my vodafone proximus belgium phone with this update
i was stuck on ruu mode after 45% update with error ' wrong customer id' 131 something like that.
i try all my best but i could not go to even fastboot mode. only fastboot command was working but i couldn't get ride off ruu mode. then i keep updating this rom again and again and boooooooom.
jackpot of the day. it went smoothly and here i am running latest version on my magic.
still i have to explore a bit and if u need feedback get back to u soon. onething i can tell already is that it is very very fast.

I have a Magic from TIM Brasil and I don't know why Entel is listed on the HTC brazilian page. It is a cel company from Chile, not Brazil.
When trying to downaload the update it says the update in not aplicable.
Anyway the ROM version seems to be older than the one that came with my Magic (mine is 3.03.527.3 and the update is 2.20.515.5)

Yeah, 3.03 seems to be the only version available for the Magics that received the SenseUI update. I guess the brazilian version doesn't have anything new in that regard

I think the Magic with Radio-6.35.08.29 is only sold by carrier Claro.
You can find the 6.35.08.29 radio here. It comes from a 32A HTC Magic RUU (RUU_Sapphire_HTC_Europe_3.05.401.3_release_signed_NoDriver.exe) for Greece.

You can just upgrade the radio without loosing anything and it works just fine.

Today there was an update release for HTC Magic in Greece with Sense UI and this radio.
I personally just flashed the radio and it is working great with cursordroids' ROM.

The reason I'm asking is because I can't find any official downloads. There's nothing in this thread about HTC releasing Sense in Greek..

This update seem to be for "Sapphire" aka HTC Magic, not Hero.
You could try running this RUU but I guess it won't work without a goldcard in your phone.
Anyways, if the official Sense update is just around the corner I rather wait until it reaches my country.

It might be a new spl
But it not an engineering bootloader so alle security will be on, it might be better to wait to see if 1.76.0009 shows up in a engineering version.

The Sense update is only for 32A. However it would probably installa a perfect SPL, so I suggest you not to install it.
Guys, any help from your side to download?

didnt work for my MyTouch 3G
This ROM should problably be for the Sapphire- without google.
The German Magic are VF Poineer (with google or GEP)- so this SN doesn`t work and also probably the update itself.
In Switzerland and Austria you can get the "without google". these one are the korrekt ones for the download.

check if your magic is a 32A or 32B version. (hold Back+power - it boots into fastboot, the top line shows this version number)
If its 32A you can install 32A roms and if its 32B you can install 32B roms.

Allow me to replicate what has been said over at the German forums.
HTC screwed up the serial check on the webpage, so not even the German users are able to download the update. The Germans are freaking out about why they can't download the update. Some have emailed HTC, and HTC isn't sending the file (http://www.android-hilfe.de/htc-magic/16902-htc-sense-rom-fuer-vodafone-verfuegbar.html).
The Germans suspect that this is indeed a Sense UI for the 32B, as it is ROM-Version:2.16.151.3 with a date of Feb 8.
To compare, the 32A Sense UI released by HTC is ROM-Version:3.05.401.3, with a date of Jan 28.
Why the heck would HTC release a newer rom with an older version string?
Also, the 32B German Vodafone Magic is only known to be 32B. See for yourself: http://www.htc.com/de/product/magic/specification.html
The official word from Vodafone is that the update IS LEGIT FOR 32B VODAFONE MAGICs. But it is distributed via OTA via Vodafone this month.
What we do know is that the rom has been cooked by HTC, and it is Sense UI for 32B.

This is old news and a rom based on it was made and you should look around. Compare the specs of the Dream and Magic then try to figure out why the Dream wont be getting this update.

The HTC Hero runs the Sense UI which is found on the tatoo and Sapphire or Rogers.The rom from jcarz is based on a Sense rom for Magic so yes, there is a sense rom avail and I think one of MLIGN's roms are based off of a Magic dump.

sometimes the OTA updates take awhile to start up, but I dont think this is old news if this is the official SenseUI update for the 32b boards, might be able to get a dump from it

My point was that they all run the Sense UI and the Hero isnt running some special version of it.The only difference is the boot screen that says hero and shows a android moving on the Magic.Tatoo is barely popular and no roms here are based on it cause it was too difficult to port.

and type in your S/N at the bottom you can then upload the update for the DEVs and everyone here, its free from the HTC site

i know the tattoo dump was difficult due to the difference in screen size, but a official update for 32b might be a bit more refined with the SenseUI. I just thought there might be a use for the 32b update the dude above has the right idea it might be optimized for our ph0nes, instead of a huge HERO ROM

My point was that they all run the Sense UI and the Hero isnt running some special version of it.The only difference is the boot screen that says hero and shows a android moving on the Magic.Tatoo is barely popular and no roms here are based on it cause it was too difficult to port.

you always ramble incorrect information. different phones are running different versions of sense ui. also tattoo was difficult to port because of the resolution. eugene ported it though.
also the tattoo is a donut hero.
