After a ROM uptdate to 1.66 (original HTC ROM) I tried to install Dutty's task manager again. The installation went on with no problems what so ever, but after the installation the only thing on my phone indicating that the app's installed is in the "remove programs" menu. No taskmanager in the upper right of the screen, and I cant seem to find out where it got installed (installed it to my storagecard) Anyone's got a tip?

aha, the registry update bug strikes again
Open the registry and if you can't find the key HKCU\Software\HTC\Taskmanager you have been bitten by this bug.
Try the following: uninstall dutty's task manager and do a softreset twice. Then try to reinstall the cab again.

Or if you have it in your registry
set HKCU\Software\HTC\Taskmanager\EnableTodayX to 1 and there it is again without restarting.
cheers!

Thank's a lot, this did the trick. I also had to preform a third soft reset after the installation.
I installed Dutty's task manager and it works fine. Thank's Dutty !
I want to use ilauncher's task manager now and can't remove Dutty's.
It doesn't show in the list of installed programs at all (in SKtools also not).
Does anyone have any ideas how to remove it because it is still in the top right hand corner but I can't click on it because I'm using ilauncher. I don't think there is an option in Dutty's settings to remove the software, or is there?
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Install it again. You'll be told the previous version will be replaced by the new installation. Tap yes, install to main memory or storage card. The software should appear in the remove programs list now. Uninstall from remove programs.
I tried it still does not appear on Remove Program list. Just can't get rid of it!!! Any ideas?

Make sure it isnt running when you install the new one.
comm manager runs all the time, doesn't it?
eric b
install the new comm manager after a fresh reboot. that will solve your problem.
Dave
Easiest solution, soft reset and immediatly install the new comm manager.

someone help please cause i want to uninstall this but i cant
i find the solution
i uninstall sipchange from \Porgram files and sipchange.lnk from \windows\autorun its ok now
iirc, there is a tweak in bsb that is able to let u ignore the error
Can anyone tell me how I can uninstall and erase this program. I'm getting the same error message the 1st guy got. BSB Tweaks does nothing to ignore the message.

Just follow what GeorgeTF did. Uninstall SIPchange, and then manually delete the link from \windows\startup. t startup, Windows was trying to run the non-existent program and gives the error message. BsB suppress it when the program is there buy not signed. In your case, the program really isn't there so it is not something BsB can solve.
Is there a way to disable, or completely remove, the Japanese IME in ICS?
It gets pretty annoying if you accidentaly switch to it and have to go to settings - input to switch it back.
I'm using CyberGR's ICS ROM, but the IME is present in I believe all ICS ROMs besides stock and the checkbox associated with it is greyed out.
Thanks.
you need to freeze or uninstall "openWnn'. After freezing or uninstalling you need to reboot and it is gone! Download a good file manager with a search option to search for openWnn or if you are rooted install root explorer and search for it.
good luck
Thanks, disabling the app worked well. Is it safe to delete it from the ROM package as well?
I believe it is but I just froze it

yes , you can delete /system/app/OpenWnn.apk in the zip file before you install and other thing you don't need , but be careful with anything related with google.
