Can't find opera6.ini file on HD2... - HD2 Windows Mobile 6.5 Themes and Apps

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me where to find the opera6.ini file on the HD2 (for the built-in Opera 9.7). I have been messing around with opera:config, and I would just like to delete this file, so I can get back the default settings by letting HD2 generate a new one afterwards.
I tried finding the file with Total Commander, but no luck. Is it called something else in the HD2? Thanks in advance.

Opera Mobile Favourites...

Hi everyone...
Can anyone please tell me where Opera Mobile stores your favourite URL's on the device? I've been using Internet Explorer and have all my mobile favourites synced with my desktop. However, I've just purchased an HTC Touch Diamond and have started using Opera which is pre-installed. I can't find an option to import my favourites though.
I was going to move them manually, but I can't find where Opera stores them. Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks.

File can't be found?
it's an xml file and is called
opera*.adr
... unfortunately, I have no such file anywhere. I'm using Resco Explorer set to show all files. I have found an Opera9 folder in the Windows root folder, but I cannot see anything in here either.
Any further help would me much appreciated. Thank you.
... have I got you all stumped on this one?

Go to \windows\Opera9\
Look for OPERA6.adr and edit it with pword or other editor as you want. If your are using the newest version of Resco Explorer, you can view the content of each file with the context menu
... thanks my friend. I have True Text installed, so I've edited the file with that application. I'm surprised Opera hasn't got an "Import Favourites" option. Seems very strange to me?
Thanks again

Default Browser

How do I change the default browser in the homescreen link. Currently it is linked to Opera and I would like the flexibility to change at will.
PS googled for info but couldnt find any.
THANK YOU
you can set the browser you want in \Application Data\Manila\internetportal-??-??.xml
At least, that worked for me.

Thanks. Will try that out. BTW do you know if possible to add items to the TF3D screen beside the Clock, Call History & Appointment?
I'm not much of a tweaker yet, I'm just learning.
I found this solution by accident.
But how shall I change the files there ?
Could you please send your new files ?
thanks
myrin
I have a dutch t-mobile mda vario IV, with stupid t-mobile logo's i'm trying to get rid off so my file won't help you.
I changed the file with total commander.
There's a line in the xml file that tells what browser to open. Change that to the exe file of explorer (think it was \windows\iexlore.exe). That should do the trick.

Need one manila file

Hello,
I have been messing around with Manila editor and I seem to have done something wrong with one of the files.
Can anyone send me the "7d3f1247_manila" file pls?
It's the picture of Web Browser in the Internet tab. It doesn't show anymore although I'm not sure why. The only thing I did was desaturate the picture - works with all the other icons/pictures.
Anyway, if anyone could post the file it would be great.
Or perhaps send it to [email protected].
Thanks in advance.
Anybody? It's just one file...
Best way to get it back is to switch off the today plugin in settings, then use total commander or resco to delete the file that you replaced in Windows and then reset your device. The deleted file will be restored from the ROM once the device starts back
Hmmm, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info, I'm going to try it right now...

zip file association

Hi guys. My TD2 seems to have stopped recognising zip files - or at least doesn't know what to do with them anymore.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Peace, Chris
How about "Pocketrar"? It's free!
Also "Total Commander", which is not only a better file manager than the standard one, but natively supports zip files, has a simple text editor, allows registry editing etc etc.
If you want to repair a broken file type association, like zip, quite a few simple configuration programs will do this.
Ok guys, thanks for those suggestions. I'm curious as to how the association got broken in the first place.
Have heard good things about Total Commander, will give it a shot.
Cheers.

Lost Globe Icon

Somehow I lost the Internet Globe icon from Sense Internet tab. It only displays Launch Browser text now. Any ideas how to get it back? Wouldn't want to Hard Reset for that. Thanks!

Nevermind, made a Hard Reset.
i had the same issue when i have tryed to change it,you need to use cfc_gui to change the manila files or the icon is blank, this is the only way i think.

The thing is that I didn't try to change it. It was just gone after I have deleted something in Application Data\HTC so there's the source somewhere.
I know i'm dragging this post from the dead, but i managed to do the same thing, now I only have the launch browser text.
I was using sk tools and I think it deleted the wrong registry setting.
any ideas?
EDIT: I have fixed the problem
SK tools had deleted a manilla file which I found by searching for 'banner'
i think it was in hklm\software\htc\manila
However, I have found an option for internet banner image in the registry and the string links to a folder i cannot find using resco explorer
any explanation?

I was using SKTools too back when I had that problem and I think it appeared after a Registry Cleaning I applied.
I figured searching for a solution is more time consuming than a Hard Reset and I just did that. Gave up on SKTools but will try again since I've read it now fully supports HD2: http://pocketnow.com/software-1/new-sktools-44715-adds-hd2-and-omnia-ii-support
Any solution?
Do you guys have any solution to this? Same problem after using SKTools. I don't want to hard reset for such a small issue.
[SOLVED] Lost Globe Icon
I solved the problem as follows for anybody that might encounter the same problem. It seems SKTooks made a backup for all registry keys that it deletes, so there is a file called "Software_HTC_Manila_Internet.BannerImage.rgb" in \My Documents\registrybkp. Just run that file again to recover the globe.
