I would ask in the appropriate forum, you know the one for the Magic.
Anyways this is the wrong section in the wrong forum, that's a double fail....
And not many people will know as 96% of people in this forum have a dream
I don't agree with you because Magic 32B users mostly flash their phones with MyTouch 3G ROMs from this section.

Yes, but that doesn't mean that we'll know about the latest roms in the Magic section. Most of us certainly won't know about the specifics of roms in the magic section.
Just because mt3g owner's flash roms from here does not take away the fact that there is a forum for them.

Hi!
I already searched, but the search function sucks.
I'm new to the Magic ROMs (I made Dream ROMs) and I want to know how to port ROMs from the Dream to the Magic.
Is the wlan.ko from the dream compatible with the Magic?
Does it need a different kernel?
I know I need to rename the *trout files in the Ramdisk/Boot.img.
Is there anything else?
If you tell me how to do this, you'll get a veryy nice Hero.. ;-) I promise.

check this thread for 32a cyanogen ports. BUT at the top of the thread there is instructions provided by Amon_ra about how to port your own.
Thanks but I think it's different for 32B and ROM's other than Cyanogen (He already made his build compatible with 32B)

If you guys already had them and this is old news or if these are useless to dream user please delete devs. I just thought this may help with these new hero roms coming out sorry if im wrong

Well, it'd make more sense to post this in Tattoo and Hero forums, wouldn't it? These kernels have nothing to do with the Dream.
I would think this could be helpful here - lots of Hero ports, question is more about proprietary addon code than kernel I think though. Wish we could get Hero BT on G1....
is there a way to make things easier to find on here? like idk making sections for the a and b?
Nearly all the 32B-compatible development and ROMs live over in the Dream forum, since most ROMs for Dream are 32B Sapphire (original myTouch 3G) compatible. Confusing, I know, but that's the way it ended up.
it is easy. look at the title of the thread. 32B will be labeled as 32B and 32A will be labeled as 32A. cant get easier than that. Plus like olearyp mentioned, most dream roms will work on 32B. so u can just go to the drive forum for roms dont really have to come here. but here u will find more specific roms for the sapphire.

i know that. I can read. I was simply asking if there was a way to organize it a little better. I guess i should of said that in the first post. sorry.
i understand where this guy is coming from, cuz for some reason i live on a androidspin ANDDDDD the dream thread but i found a Fender rom in here for 32b that i wouldna found anywhere else; smh we should honestly talk to dudes to seperate it even though its labeled in the titles...i'd cause less problems, unnecesary questions and whatnot

Anyway, should a MT3G 1.0 owner (first gen MT3G) flash ROMS from the MT3G forum or the G1 forum? I know it has to be a ROM for 32b, but beyond that - is there any advantage/disadvantage? Or are all ROMS for the first gen MT and the G1 the same?
I've been flashing from G1 forums, and have been happy with the roms, but am just wondering if I should be taking them from the MT3G forum, i.e. if there's any difference/benefit...still a noob, and trying to figure things out. Thanks for any insight!
Honestly the Sapphire forum was around long before the MT3G. I see a lot of people in the G1 forum making their roms compatible with G1/32B (32B Means mytouch3g) So go there if you can. Check out cyan 2.1!

99% of ROMs for the G1 is compatible with the original mytouch. Also sapphire ROMs/32B Magic ROMs are compatible also.
If you want an Android 2.1 ROM that has a great dev and is fully working then check out the latest Cyanogen. The ROMs title is in my sig.
Thanks guys for the tips. I figured as much, about the g1 and original mytouch roms being good for both devices, but just wanted to put it out there out of curiosity. And thanks for the cyanogen tip too - thinking about trying it, but tbh I'm addicted to sense ui. I just think it looks so much nicer than stock android, so I've been sticking to sense roms only...but sounds like cyanogen is the stock rom to go with if I change my mind!

Where would i find the newest danger spl/radio? I've searched and only

DangerSPL only applies to the G1/Dream mind you, and only needed for something like Cyanogenmod 5.0.7 (experimental) where the rom needs a bigger /system partition than the G1/Dream can normally handle. If you attempt to flash the DangerSPL onto any other device its a guaranteed brick (hence the name danger).
