Hey just wondering if anyone knows of a good android forum similar to this with lists of lots of phones. mainly because i got some knockoff phone i want to mess with... Its a Vodafone Google G2. Similar to the T-Mobile Magic but diffrent a bit like dual sim cards... anyways if you know of some good forums or one that talks about the G2 i have that would rock.. thanks.

There is an extensive page in the wiki about vendors and dates, the AT&T Raphael incarnation hasnt really been looked at yet, but a quick search would have found this thread which discussed it (ignore the crap at the end ).
The difference between the HTC Vogue and the HTC Touch ? I think I'm going to start a plan with sprint and I would like to be able to boot android and do some hacking of my own but I don't want to drop a few hundred dollars to be stranded. I don't see the Vogue listed on sprints site but I see all sorts of discussion of running android on the Vogue - but I have seen the two listed in the same context.
Can someone clear this up for me and direct me to which forum/pages I want to be looking at for this?

As far as I understand the original HTC name is Magic, no matter if any crazy mobile carrier change it´s name, design or specs, so if I´m right here´s the forum:

the magic is world wide, not just European.. Just like the dream was worldwide, but the G1 was US..
as a mytouch owner I dont see a reason for it to have its own forum.. Eventually it will get rooted & it will get its own how to root sticky.. From there its just another sapphire..

I guess my point is..someone like you would jump on this thread and be a complete asshat and offer absolutely nothing of value.
The fact of the matter is Much that goes on in the Magic forum just doesnt apply to whats happening here in the states.

Then what about the Google ION.. Its hardware is 100% identical to the MyTouch as its also does T-Mo 3g here in the US.. Or wait we better not exclude the Voda version as it also uses the 32B board like the ion & the MyTouch & it even has the same amount of ram..
There is no reason for the MyTouch to get its own forum.. & This is coming from a MyTouch owner..
If the forums get too specific then the growth on what can be done stops.. Hence the CDMA phones that have there own forums.. There US only & pale in comparison to most of the GSM based phones forums that are combined.. Hence look at the Wizard Forum.. There are specific revisions that must be addressed when flashing roms But they all still get along in the same forum..
Fact of the matter is that if there was a forum for every phones individual revision then we would be overwhelmed as there has to be several hundred individual forums...
Edit: & Oh by the way calling someone an asshat for pointing out facts that contradict your small minded way of thinking is a pretty dumb thing to do..

Please post here if you find out anything. I'm interested in the possibility of upgrading Android on new Sharp phones. Especially if this can help use the gadget (not really a keitai) on another operator, not just DoCoMo.
Don't know if it's locking or just plain incompatibility, but the IS01/SH-10B seems to be stuck with 1.6 and the Netwalker, for example, with Ubuntu 9.04. Same thing goes about older devices running WM.
IS01 has been rooted.

I have the ATT Tilt 2 (Touch Pro 2) it works well, and kudos to all the hard working developers here at XDA, and other sites. Now that thats out of the way here is my question, problem. My brother gave me a Sciphone i9 for my birthday this year and said "here keep it see what you can do with it." Now I've heard that it is possible to change the os and firmware of it to winmo, iphone or even android. I've been searching threads and post to find any information on how to do this and have come up empty. So does anyone have any insight on this iclone it has dual sim cards. I've inserted my ATT sim into it and it works fine, I would like to use winmo or better os than the java thats on it. Hit me up if you can help a semi newbie.
