Hi
there is same registry tweak or some possibility to custom resize the video image in windows media player(except the default "scale to fit window")
i am using an application called PbxTV (live tv) who uses the wmp but the image is 50% off the screen...it is quite annoying.
Thx.

hi,
just downloaded a free software application for Mac osx., called handbrake.
i know there are proper programs out there that do this but this is free and easy to use.
what it does is crops and converts your dvds to a small file either mpeg4 or avi.
you can crop it to 320x240 and adjust the sound quality and set it for maximum mb so it fits on your sd card just right.
the files play back using the camera program.
here is the link http://handbrake.m0k.org/download.php
my windows media player 9,doesn't support divx, and i don't know where i can find some codecs or something. And why when i try to access a file in FILE BROWSER i get an error message something like : windows cannot find a application suitable for this( JPEG image ). PS Do you recommend me to upgrade to windows 2005???
TSM 500 ( XDA II )
ROM Version : 2.06.00WWE
ExtROM:Sin.Merged.v.2.0
ok 1st the one i can help with, Codecs, AVI and DIVX files where a must for me when i got mine, after some searching i settled on TCPMP,
The Core Pocket Media Player
http://corecodec.org/frs/download.php/366/tcpmp.arm.cabs.0.71.zip
for the ARM CAB Download or
http://corecodec.org/frs/?group_id=53&release_id=222#r222
for the list of installers
Once installed run the app and goto options then settings,
then tap on select page, from this drop down list select file associations.
pick em off, i have it set for everything but PNG JPG & JPEG. but more importantly AVI and DIVX is there. and playback is very clear.
Works Perfect for me.
As for the JPEG Image issue, dont know is this only for JPEG Files, options but not answers could be try resco explorer instead of the standard, but i cant see that being the issue, more than likely file association in the registry but i couldnt say where.
Pocket Tweak from Tillanosoft has file associations could be worth checking that to see if jpg is set to the correct program.
Hope this helps
Can anyone recommend a good video player for the tornado that will use the whole screen? I am using the video player that comes with WM5 now and when I switch the video playback to fullscreen mode, it justs keeps the video the same small size and turns it horizontal. I want some player that will use the actual full screen.
Thanks
CorePlayer, use some convertors to change the video resolution to 320x240, .avi, 15fps,bitrate 350, audio: 128/mono or stereo
or Dvix Player
tcpmp media player

hi i rcomend tcpmp its the best off all just try it its simple you can watch youtube with it to.
instal tcpmp.smartphone.0.72RC1 and then TCPMPflvplugin-v0.4.2 so you can watch youtube.
and this is the options you mus do
3. Setting the proper Protocols
Whew, the hard part is now over, lets get to the setting up! First open TCPMP and press 'Options -> Settings'. From the screen that brings you to press 'Select Page -> File Associations'. On the bottom of this page you will see both 'Flash Video' and 'MMS Protocol', make sure both of them are checked. If you don't see both of these settings, you may need a soft reset. Once they are both checked, keep the settings open and move onto step 4.
4. Setting the Buffering
The buffering could make or break your YouTube Pocket experiance, so let's make sure you set it properly. While still in the settings page click 'Select Page -> Buffering'. here you will see some buffering options, you want them to be as listed below:
Normal buffer size: 1148KB or 800KB
Preload at underrun: 5%
Preload for audio: 64KB
and the media player works for moviles musik evryting.
answer me if you have questions.
sorry for my bad english
amir
i forgot to write the youtube site here it is http://ytpocket.com
Hello,
Im interested in adding one (or more) tabs to the Manila slider, and specifically a tab that would have a similar cover flowing interface with HTC Album (or HTC ereader) but would be only showing files (movies) from a pre-specified folder, and played when selected with a prespecified player (tcpmp, etc).
Is this possible? Would it be possible to copy/reproduce the Pictures & Videos tab or the eReader tab, rename it "Movies" and link it to a specific directory and player?
Ive searched the fora for something similar but only found the Manila TV tab app. Any ideas, suggestions or thread directions will be most welcomed!
yeah a video tab would be awesome. looks for avi mp4 etc which also has a preview like thumbnail in windows
After the most recent version upgrade of MX Player Pro (for my Android Tablet - version 9) thumbnail/cover art creation for each video file has disappeared and I don't seem able to regenerate them. I've stored the thumbnails/cover art as jpg's in the same folder as the relevant mp4 video file and with the same file name (apart from .jpg at the end). Before the most recent upgrade when viewing the video files the releveant jpg's would display correctly in the file thumbnail window - but not now, there's just a blank black space. I've tried selecting individual files and using the the Rebuild Thumbnails option (and even re-installing MX Player Pro) but nothing seems to happen. The strange thing is that when I select a file and look at its properties in the "Cover Art" field the right jpg is listed. So the software is locating the corresponding jpg files (as before) but just seems unable to display them.
Is this a new bug ? Is there an easy fix ? If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !
