i am a non-english rom user so using official rom + plug-in may be the best way to enjoy manila 2.5
can the idea come true
As I understand it, the ROMs and Manila are tied together in a lot of ways. So I think new versions of Manila require new ROM features?
well manilla, propably looks for registry keys and files. if these can get in a cab, then it should be possible to have it.
i don't want to change my official rom (most stable of all the roms there are out for D2), but i want to try the new manilla.
udk has manilla 2.6 i thought that only 2.5 is out. what is the difference?

No because it's in a rom.

in dutty's rom its manila 2.1 + weather, so maybe it is possible to add/replace some files but alot of skills required for that...
easiest is to flash ready rom...
udk's new rom or dutty's both have weather on main screen, udk's rom is too buggy & slow to use but dutty's rom is perfect.

I install the coocked rom with Sense 2.5.1922 with the DOC tab and install the grzegorz10 b4all tabs 1920 and works but the weather in home tab as deslocate, dosent stop in right place, who i can edit this?

I am cooking my own ROM for the Rhodium. I currently have it working fine with Manila 1922 from LEO ROM.
What I did was dump the official WWE 6.5 ROM from HTC and added the Leo EXT packages to it. I cooked using most of those and some from the Rhodium and it works fine.
Now when I try to add the Topaz EXT I can not get Manila 2011 to run. I tried switching all of the things I had from LEO to Topaz but that did not work. I then tried to only use Manila and StartIconLoader from Topaz but that still does not work.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything else I need?

on my Topaz i just took the manila-packages and starticonloader too. that worked for me.
Before i added manila 2.5 to my rom i also read this thread, maybe it could help you.

How, where and what do I need to do to upgrade my manilla version?

You need to read the flashing guide thread.
Basic steps are;
Install Hard SPL (First)
Find a ROM w/ 2.5 and flash away.
If for some reason you will not flash your ROM(you should do it) here is a thread for getting it working on the TG01. Try the files on your TD2 and see if they work:

If you do a flashing, will you lose everything you have on it? IE text messages, and contacts that aren't saved to my sim card? I use microsoft myphone to back everything up, Can I just use that to transfer everything back to the phone? Or will it not work with a flashed rom?

My phone will restore you contacts and SMS to a custom ROM
How do I know I have the proper radio installed? That's one thing I never understood about flashing, and always worried me. Sorry for the noob questions. I had a friend who flashed his G1 a bunch of times, and he tried to help, but didn't explain much. I'm worried i'm going to brick my phone, but I'm fairly computer savey.

If you haven't flashed your radio before, flashing a custom ROM won't reflash your radio.
As far as flashing different radios, the only way you can brick is if you flash a radio from another device w/o being CID unlocked.
You can flash any Topaz radio. The first thing to check to see if the radio is compatableis to see if it affects your camera opperation, then check GPS, WiFi, etc.
Do you recommend flashing radios? I don't have any problems with service or anything where I'm at...

Both are great chefs but I prefer Dutty's ROMs as I have used his ROMs for a long time over several devices.
His are always close to stock for stability but still highly configurable.
Either way, I suggest Max manila for your theme, you won't be disappointed. Energy's come with Max Manila but it can still be installed on Duttys.
Also, you lose alot of functionality with Titanium compared to Sense.
I haven't upgraded from Dutty's HG R6 because its still working great for me.
