Hi to all,
I'am interested in the images produced by the Nandroid tool.
Can anyone tell me if they are physical images of the file system of the internal memory (including eventually deleted files/dirs) or logical ones ?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi guys,
I'm trying to recover some deleted files (I've tried some apps but they can recovery only some known formats, jpg, doc, contacts, I didn't find a generic one) so I made a full internal memory dump using this guide -> df.lth.se/~jokke/androidfilerecovery/.
Now I'm trying to use testdisk to recover my files but using it against the dump, it finds only one partition with no files inside.
How can I do this job? Did I make something wrong (excluding deleting things I need :crying. Dumpfile is about 15GB big.
Thank you!
Hi all
I made a silly mistake - went to partition my SD card before backing up. Lost some contacts and files I want to get back if possible.
I made a copy of the disk image on my computer using dd, and tried TestDisk to find the previous partitions.. no joy so far.
I did the partitioning with CWM 4.0.1.4
Just wondering if anyone knows some other tools I can try?
Thanks!

hi, every one, there is much data in my computer, but my disk space is not enough, so if i backup all my important data, i need compression. But the built-in backup tool of Windows seems cannot do it.Any third software can help solve this problem? Or manage my disk space and extend it?

hi, verchen. Take it easy. It is very easy for compress files when you backup files. Don't worry. You can search in Google, you will find many software, such as AOMEI Backupper, Easeus to do backup, Acronis True Image, Macrium are both good. You can choose one to do file backup. I used aomei backupper, it can help you compress image files during backup. Maybe this article will help you: 3w.backup-utility(dot)com/articles/how-do-i-backup-my-files-1128.html here is an button "backup option", you can set compression. Besides, you can also use one partition software to extend your partitions, paragon partition manager, minitool partition wizard, aomei partition assistant can also help you, you can backup files with compression and also extend partition size. This two ways can solve your problem well.
Hello guys! I'm in a bit of an odd situation here.
What is happening is that my Mate 7 has files, which are physically written in the internal storage, but with no way to access them.
Here (i.imgur.com/jyEUiSX.png) you can see that the disk usage analyzer detects those files, but when listing all files, it doesn't show them... causing the results to not add up.
(Also here? i.imgur.com/mjZDyS5.jpg)
Here's what caused it:
I was flashing an unofficial CM11 (the first one available for the M7) that seemingly created a different partition for data storage, instead of using the one that the stock rom was using before. I moved my files there, but decided to restore my backup of the stock rom. But that cut access to that new partition completely, though the files themselves weren't deleted.
If anyone has a clue on how I can make those files accessible again, input is greatly appreciated!
Hey, I was wondering if it is possible to make an updater-script that when flashed in TWRP any APK files in the same .zip file would be flashed into the internal storage as user apps, not system apps. If this is possible can anyone make me an updater-script that would do this? Please and thank you!
