Rom vs Stock - General Questions and Answers

Quick question, Can someone tell me why a rom such as CyanogenMOD runs slower (even though it pushes the processor to its limit) than the stock G1 rom? Is there a rom out that is built for speed?

[Q] Base Stock - any ideas?

Hey Guys!
I am on Froyo 2.2.2 TMobUK stock rom.
I want to install the best stock rom thats not above my official version (so I can easily revery back for warrany).
By best i mean fastest and most stable.
Is there a barebones stock rom and if so does it matter over a normal rom considering I will apply miui or cyano on top.
Any help would help.
Thanks!

[Q] [Question] Requeriments to port a ROM?

I saw many posts about how to port a ROM. But in each post, there are many requeriments. My real question is to port, for example CM 10.1 for my phone that uses ICS 4.0.4 Stock ROM, but I don't know the real requeriments. In a post I read that it had to be the same manufacturer, for the drivers problem. Plus it said that must be the same resolution, the same Android version and the same processor or processor type. Can Anyone tell me wich are the real requeriments to port a ROM to my phone?.

Sluggish performance

Hi,
I'm using Moto G 3rd with latest stock ROM.
Unfortunately performance is sluggish.
Is any sense to flash custom ROM's ?
Anyone compared performance on stock vs custom ?
Thanks
It seems to me like stock still is the smoothest, at least on a 1GB device. Especially considering that there are way more background services running then on a custom ROM with minimal GApps.

After almost 3 years, is worth to root the S7 Edge?

Let me rephrase better, is worth to move from the stock samsung Oreo Rom, to a custom Rom like "Havoc" "resurrection Remix" "LineageOS" (the stable version of these)? It's been a long time since I flashed a custom Rom. On my old OnePlus One the roms were faster and better. I find the stock s7 edge rom really good, but at the same time i'm sick of the samsung experience, I want some Stock Android on my phone without losing any performance of course. So, these Roms are actually good? Stable and fast as the stock one?
